 + 0 moreAmazing! Had another "big" company from the area out for annual furnace cleaning. They discovered a broken firebox in my 20 year old furnace. They immediately launched into "this is an 800 dollar part, will take another couple hundred to install, plus who know what else will be wrong" B.S. they convinced me that just to fix back to working order I'd be out 1400-1800 bucks, OR I should get a new one for 12-14k. Called Scott for a second opinion. Right away he's like the part is 100 bucks, takes 5 min to install, and otherwise my boiler will be rock solid for many years if maintained. Bought the part for, like he said, 110 bucks (he was off a hair!), he installed it, and adjusted everything so it ran MUCH better than ever (better than it had since the "big name" company services it the year before). All in all... he saved me 12,000 bucks AND made the furnace run like a German watch. Heck, he even spit shined the outside of the furnace when done! Customer for life.

 + -1 moreScott arrived on time and was very professional. He did a very thorough job cleaning our furnace. He replaced the nozzle, filter and pump strainer, made all the necessary adjustments and cleaned the heat exchanger, ducts and flu pipe. I would highly recommend and will use again!

Description of Work: Having lived for many years in Jefferson Twp New Jersey I had used Scott from Oil Tech to do both routine cleanings and repair service on my oil burner. Scott is an independent operator and therefore you do not have to have a service contract with an oil company to use Oil Tech. He is above all very honest, (he does not pressure you to buy new equipment or anything else you do not need). Scott is the most thorough service tech I have ever had service my burner. He truly takes the time to do the job right and he ensures your oil burner is performing at its maximum efficiency before leaving. He also is very aware of keeping the work area clean. Recently I moved to South Carolina but I made sure Oil Tech would still service my mothers oil burner in Parsippany. When my mom called me with a minor problem I called Scott. He responded very quickly, diagnosed the problem, ordered a part and had the unit up and running in no time. It is a very reassuring feeling to know that I can trust Scott from Oil Tech to do honest thorough work for my elderly mom when I cannot be there. This guy is truly a cut above the rest in his field and his prices are very fair. I would not use anyone else.

 + -1 moreI called Scott Brennan at Oil-Tech to get my old boiler cleaned; he did a very thorough job, midway through he pointed out to me the hole burned through the rear of the combustion chamber from decades of use. I did some research on boilers and got several estimates on a System 2000 boiler. Scott's estimate was the lowest by a significant amount so I got the boiler through him. He and his crew were very punctual and professional, they did a great job on the old boiler removal, the new boiler installation, and the cleanup afterward. I would definitely recommend him for the quality of his work.

Description of Work: I HAD A NEW OIL FURNACE INSTALLED I CALLED OIL TECH FOR A ESTIMATE HE SHOWED UP ON TIME HE LOOKED OVER MY OLD SYSTEM AND ADVISED ME LIKE OTHER COMPANIES THAT IT WAS TIME TO CHANGE FURNACE HE THEN TOLD ME WHAT FURNACE HE WOULD RECOMMEND HE GAVE ME A ESTIMATE AND A DATE HE DO THE JOB HE SHOWED UP AGAIN ON TIME AND FINISHED THE JOB IN ONE DAY AS PROMISED THE WORKMANSHIP WAS FANTASTIC HE IS A GREAT BUSSINESS MAN AND A VERY NICE PERSON TO DEAL WITH I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE

 + -1 moreScott at Oil Tech has been our go-to guy ever since we had two puff-backs from an oil heating system that was installed by the builder without appropriate ventilation. (several years ago) He was the only one who was able to get the system up nd running on a semi-consistent basis. Whenever anyone else touches it, they break it. He has been very fair with pricing and very responsive to the occasional middle-of-the-night call when the safety mechanism shuts the heat off. We are finally heeding his advice and looking into having a chimney installed.
