Chris and company did a complete oil to gas conversion in one day. Removed the old oil boiler, indirect water heater and oil tank. And they had to cut up the oil tank to get it out the door. No job too difficult for these guys. Professional, using best products, fair-priced and excellent customer service. Wore masks the whole time, so they respected the Covid environment. Would highly recommend to everyone.

While the work was done to my satisfaction, I would not recommend anyone use this company because of the unprofessional and malicious conduct of John ?Willie? Faust of Central Comfort regarding the inspections and final payment. Two issues arose regarding the inspections process. First, Central Comfort did not arrange for an inspector to be present during the removal of the oil tank. The contractor was unaware of this requirement. Second, the electrical inspection failed because the inspector believed the corrugated stainless steel tubing needed to be grounded, and it was not. Mr. Faust disagreed, and the electrical inspector did an additional review of electrical codes before deciding that no further work was necessary. It was the responsibility of Central Comfort to complete the job before I made a final payment. This also meant working with township officials to complete the permits and update me on these matters. Instead, I had to spend my time talking to township officials about the status of the permits. Frankly, I believe Mr. Faust cared more about receiving his final payment than the final completion of the permits. He called me several times asking for a final payment of $500, inferring that he had done everything he needed to do. I did not provide the payment when he wanted it because I was still awaiting receipt of the permits for the oil tank and electrical, and was within my legal rights not to pay. The worst phone call from Mr. Faust came on the early morning of January 12, when he threatened to pull the permit for the oil tank his company had removed and to put the oil tank on my property if the final payment was not received in 2 days!!!!! This was a malicious and unprofessional act. I had already paid Mr. Faust about $8,100 for his company?s work. Mr. Faust knew, or should have known, that I was within my legal rights to await receipt of the building and electrical permits before making the final payment of $500. Mr. Faust knew, or should have known, that he had no legal right to pull any permit unless I hired another contractor. And Mr. Faust was under contract to dispose of the oil tank under EPA regulations, which does not mean dumping it in my yard out of anger. Fortunately, I received the building and electrical permits on January 12, mailed the final payment the following day, and avoided any further confrontation with Mr. Faust. I would not recommend that anyone do business with Mr. Faust or his company.
Description of Work: I contracted with Central Comfort of Wharton for the conversion of my oil furnace to a natural gas furnace (including removal of the above-ground oil tank) at my home in December 2015. Central Comfort was helpful in getting me a rebate and $6,500 in financing for the project. The company did a good job removing the oil tank and installing a new furnace in December. The workers arrived as scheduled and conducted themselves professionally.I was satisfied with their performance and professionalism.
