Charles accurately and professionally assessed our needs and designed an air conditioning system exactly fit our needs. Retrofitting a system for our 1950's colonial was a challenge but Charles came through. Highly recommended!

The project was handled on-time, with a quality installation, and daily site clean-up. He has recently performed a complete annual maintenance and upgrded a few items (no additional cost) to insure continued high performace of the system. Charles was dilligent in making contact with me. Seemed to go out of his way to make himself available to repair the system. Considering hiring him for a larger project.

Got call back soon after placing the request. The suggested re-design of the duct work in the attic was superb in terms of efficiency and cost. The job was done on time and they did their best to accommodate my tight schedule. The measurements were done to calibrate the system in each room. Both furnaces performed fine during the winter and after the current hot days I can confirm that both air conditioners are performing fine. I will recommend this company for any HVAC work.

Charles has done an excellent job in replacing my old oil furnance with a new gas furnace. Very curtious, dependable and clean. Have recommeded him to several people already.

My pilot on 55 year old Thatcher Furnace would go out on left side occasionally. I would light it myself. Charles blew out pilot tube and adjusted pilot flame and I have not had a problem since. He charged me $40 to diagnose and fix problem. Seems to be working fine for 3 weeks since he fixed pilot.

Charles is very good in term of details and value. He did very much everything himself with a helper. Because of that, he can offer a very good price by cutting sales and admin cost.

Very knowledgeable and does not treat the customer like an idiot. Did exactly what he said he was going to do and did a first class installation of a new furnace on very short notice. His price was the best of the six quotes that I received for the same job. Charles went the "extra mile" to assure that the job was done correctly and on schedule. Everything was cleaned up and all of the debris was removed from our house. When I need additional heating and air conditioning work done, he is the first person I will call.

Would highly recommend CJ Mechanical. Charles was the first to respond to my inquiry. They are extremely knowledgeable and the work they performed was impeccable. Their price was very fair. If I ever need any additional work, I would not hesitate to call CJ Mechanical!

Update: The AC install came with 2 years of a free check-up at the start of the season. Unfortunately, it was never done in the 2 years despite request. Charles also installed a gas line for the standby generator for me - the original estimate was around $350 which somehow became $600 when the job was done. Repeated phone calls for assistance with inspection for generator were not returned nor emails answered It will cost me additional to get someone to help pass inspection (pressure test). Unfortunate. Updated : I used CJ twice for AC malfunction. Install was done 10 years ago and registered with Rheem. First, call I was told they are very busy and try some home remedies of filter and thermostat, etc. And call back if the issue persists. Maybe they can get someone out in few weeks. The second cal I narrowed down the pro alarm to air handler unit not coming ON. Right at the start of the call I was told he is expecting a call and does not have much time. Nor there was any empathy or care in the voice. As I proceeded to describe the issue with the air handler, I was told he is busy, and shortly into the discussion, I was told a call coming in and hang up !! No call back since then, not any concern as to how to help a two-time customer. Needless to say, I got the issue fixed with another vendor. That also highlighted improper unit install - example: Compressor unit outside is at ground level, for all water and dirt to go in. It should have been at least 4 inches above the ground and properly spaced from the house structure. Now on the generator - the install was complete 8 years ago and then prior to inspection I realized that a portion of the install was omitted and without that, it will fail inspection. Called Charlie 3-4 times over a period of 2 months to come back and fix the minor install issue. There was no response to multiple VMs and emails. Installation and getting paid are what drives this business. When a past customer needs help and repair, that is overlooked and ignored. In evaluating a vendor.
