WASTE MANAGEMENT

I had high hopes for the service I could expect after watching Wast Management on Undercover Boss. It is apparent that the customer service culture has not trickled down. The trash collectors repeatedly throw the empty container on its side in the middle of the driveway; that is when they did decide to empty it. I had to put on a small simple latch to keep the bears from opening the can. They refused to empty my trash when they saw that latch. A three year old could open it. The last straw was when they took my full container and turned it upside down on my yard. My neighbors tell me that they have to tip them frequently. I guess that's what it takes to get Waste Management to do their job.Where is the boss now? Interestingly the only response I got from them was an e-mail saying thank you, and hope to hear from you again.

We recently purchased a new home and after moving in we tried to pay attention to who the neighbors were using for garbage collection. We saw a few Waste Management cans so I checked out the website. Their prices were very competitive with local companies and they supplied us with new cans. I initially set up service over the phone and within a few days they delivered our garbage can. I called back asking if the reycling can was coming and they quickly issued a ticket for one to be delivered. Overall the people on the phone are very helpful. I would give all A's but since they forgot to deliver our recycling can and pick up our recycling the first time I will give them a B. It could be things just weren't in the system yet so I don't expect future issues. Only other issue was I was told I would receive a welcome kit which never came. I believe this would have provided info on holidays and pick up schedule but I think this is available online.
