The job was done very professionally. I was told the job would start on a given day at 8:30 AM and take two days to complete. Frank and his crew showed up early, at 7:30 AM, on the designated day and laid all of the pavers on time on the second day, despite having to do additional work when the tree stump was found to be much larger than anticipated. Frank and his crew are very professional and easy to talk to. Frank is a great communicator and answered all of my inquiries, before during and after the job. When we discussed the job initially, Frank made a few suggestions to enhance the look of the final job, which I'm grateful for (regarding the color of the pavers relative to the colors of my fence and the outside of my condominium, adding the rock border around the pavers, running gutter pipes from the roof underneath the pavers/rocks). Cost: Frank explained the cost of each part of the job prior when we had our initial discussion and then provided those costs in writing. Removal of the stump cost a little more than anticipated, but that was due to the fact that it was surprisingly large. Prior to hiring Frank and his crew, I had received about 10 estimates from different contractors and even hired one who made claims he could not fulfill. Frank's price was on the low side of the various estimates I received, possibly the lowest overall (some were as much as $3,000+ higher), but I didn't hire him mainly for price. Why I hired Frank: I hired Frank first because of the overwhelming positive feedback he received on Angie's List (more than for anyone else I could find): that everyone noted his professionalism, his willingness to do what he said he'd do, his ability and willingness to provide suggestions that ultimately made the jobs he worked on the envy of his customers' neighbors. Second, I hired him, because when I met Frank, he appeared to justify the comments I'd read about him on Angie's List. Third, his price seemed very reasonable, but if he hadn't already made a good impression on me, I wouldn't have hired him even if the job were free. The result: My wife, my son and I are extremely happy with the way our job turned out and feel very proud whenever we look at it. My neighbor was so impressed (and probably jealous), he hired Frank to do a paver job in his backyard, and he loved it so much that he had Frank do brickwork on his front steps and around his front yard. PAYMENT: The total cost of the job was $8,800, but Frank only asked for a $500 deposit up front when we signed the contract. When he started the job he did not ask for any additional money. He only wanted to get paid after I was completely happy with the job. OVERVIEW: If you want to deal with a real professional whose cost is reasonable, whose communication is very good and friendly, will try to explain to you all the ins and outs of the job, help you to make your job look even better than you envisioned it, and is very reliable, I suggest you call Frank at Scenic View. If I ever need his services again, he'll be the first one I call.

Great job, they even finished off some edging I had not had time to get to! I now have the nicest lawn on the block.

First of all, I want to start by saying what a pleasure it is dealing with Frankie. He is by far the most responsive vendor I've ever worked with and gets back to me within a reasonable time over email, my preferred form of communication. He's even emailed me back late at night to ensure I have my answer quickly. The most recent job I hired them for was a fall clean-up. My wife had recently lost her job so I didn't have much in the budget to have the yard cleaned up even though it desperately needed it and it would have taken me hours, if not days to complete the job. I worked with Frankie to adjust the price to get it within a range I was comfortable spending at the time. His guys came and did an excellent job and I appreciated his effort to accommodate my needs. Scenic View has done a few things for me in the past including fall clean-ups, grading and the installation of a drainage system. He had his team ? at one point close to 15 people ? complete the job in one day. It was fast, efficient and comparable in price to other vendors. I highly recommend their services and working with Frankie. He is a business owner that understands customer service better than any vendor I've worked with in the past.

They did new drainage for multiple locations and some planting of shrubs. I found them expensive but they seem very good with their work. They sent out about 4 technicians. They were professional.

The entire process was great. Every aspect exceeded our expectations from: the intial response and followup, pricing, scheduling, and installation. I had reached out to four different companies for this rather large job. Frank's follow up was by far the best. He seemed genuinely attentive to our needs and delivered on every detail we agreed on. The job was handled by a great crew who were friendly and professional. The installation was so quick and clean, we almost didn't even realize the work had been done. The lighting is perfect for our house, and exceeded our expectations.

My neighbor told me he was having his backyard paved. He said the company, Scenic View, had top marks from other company's he'd checked out. I was impressed after seeing my neighbors completed project. I called Frank and we set up a meeting. He arrived at the appointed time, He took measurements of the front yard and back yard of the house. We discussed what I wanted done. He was very professional and personable. After I decided what I wanted done in the back and front of the house, he gave me his estimate. This estimate was approximately $3000.00 less than I was quoted from several other companies. Each work day Frank and his crew arrived on time, his workers were very polite and professional. They asked me periodically to check on the project and to verify my preferences. At the end of each day, they cleaned the work area, and removed their equipment. I am very impressed with Frank and his crew.

Amazing - Frankie and Gary as well as the entire crew were amazing. They showed up every day with proper supervision, performed weeks worth of work while maintaining a clean and orderly work site, and you hardly noticed they were there. Very professional and cooperative - whenever there was a fork in the road that could result in a better outcome, they made appropriate and professional suggestions (and were not afraid to give their honest opinion). My wife was never inconvenienced and actually missed the commotion when they were done. Every day was a new milestone - and upon arriving home you could see the pride in the work product and that the crew did the work in one day that would seem to take a week - and EVERYTHING was perfectly placed and thought out - so that showing up at home was the best part of the day to see what new amazing thing had been accomplished. It is impossible to point out any defect - or complaint - the job was not cheap but it was exactly the price that I expected and it was completed on time and at budget. They can make your house seem like a brand new house and yard. It is truly worth every penny of the cost for such professional work. The surprising part is that I spelled out the job to 3 other contractors on Angies list in Monmouth County - who did not even return my request. This was not a small job and it was their loss - but I am very happy the way things turned out - I can't even imagine how p***** I would have been if someone did call back only to fail to show up on time and as promised EVERY DAY.

This company is great to work with. The project manager was really friendly and flexible to work with when we wanted some changes to the plant choices. I was super happy with the end result - lovely front yard design and reasonably priced. They have also came back and replaced plants without charge that didn't hold up well in the first year. I would definitely work with them again.

There are a few things that I value in a contractor/vendor. One, of course, is quality of work. And another is responsiveness. Prior to contacting Scenic View, I had been in touch with a couple of other landscapers and after emails and voice mails, I never received the courtesy of a reply. That's when I decided to check out Angie's List. I saw the many positive reviews for Scenic View and decided to send an email through their website. Within a couple of days, I had a response from Frankie. We scheduled a meeting. Admittedly, mine wasn't a big job, but Frankie proved to be as attentive as if I were spending thousands more. For the first time in months, I have landscaping that "makes sense." Thanks to Frankie and his crew, I can now point to my landscaping with pride. There is something to be said for simplicity, and this process was simple from beginning to end. Shout out to Alejandro who is an artist with the trimmer! I anticipate that I will be calling on Scenic View for many years to come.

Frank and his team did an outstanding job creating a desert themed landscape / rock bed with large sitting boulders and a natural boulder fire pit. His team was very professional and punctual and they have a strong attention to detail, which is essential to me because I'm very particular. His price was the second highest among five contractors, but it was fair for the work provided.

Frank, came out to evaluate our property and provided a quote with pics of his designs via email very quickly. Not only did the final result look as good as his renderings, (actually - even better) when I called him a few weeks after the job saying that some of the plantings weren't looking so healthy, he immediately replaced them! At no additional expense, and without even asking him for replacements... Excellent service. Have referred all of our friends to him as well...

Frank was very professional and easy to work with. Scenic View was a little on the high side price wise but the quality of work is well worth it. I'm very happy and would use Scenic View again in a heartbeat.

Frank and his crew did a great job. The price was higher than some competing bids, but Frank's professionalism sold me on the job. For future landscaping work I will definitely give Scenic View a call.

It went well, I can't say excellent. My expectation was high and we had a miscommunication. I thought they will clean all the weeds from frontyard. And that includes lawn. Which is not the case.They don't do lawn, Frank came one week to spray the chemicals and after couple of weeks his cousin along with few crew showed up. They did let me know when they are coming, I had to take a look how they are doing and I noticed some area they didn't clean properly. But once I told them they took care of it. So you may have to oversee.

Scenic View was able to do the work ahead of the timeline that they originally gave me. They showed up on time and the staff is very polite. The work was done well and everything looked great. They answered a lot of my questions and I felt very comfortable. Two weeks after the work was done, I notice that part of the drainage system was settling in a weird way and I contacted Scenic View about the issue. They told me that they would take care of it and they did. I would definitely use their service again and recommend them to anyone as well.

They showed up on time, were extremely professional and gracious. I came home on Friday and they had come that afternoon to get a jump start on Saturday since there was so much to do. When i got home the patio was still covered in weeds, I changed my clothes and looked back out and the patio was completely weed free!! We had a hill of weeds on the side of the house that they cleaned up so well, we are the talk of the street. The yard looks beautiful, they cleaned everything up and then asked me to come out for the walk around. I highly recommend them, I will use them again!!

Gary's team was on time, thorough, polite, efficient and all-around they did a great job. So much so that we kicked ourselves for not hiring them sooner so we could enjoy the work rather than set up the next homeowners to enjoy our yard. Though I had discussed mulch options on the phone with the owner, Frankie, Gary checked with me again and gave me options right up till the very end. I also asked him to remove a couple bushes that were originally only supposed to be trimmed. He said "sure, not a problem." Gary was great on the front end, but Frankie was also great on the back end. One of the primary reasons we chose to work with Scenic View is because Frankie was extremely responsive. I emailed him through Angie's List, he immediately called me back. He came over to the house, gave detailed quotes (and it was obvious how knowledgeable he was about landscape architecture), then he followed up each time we spoke to ensure that our needs were fulfilled properly and in a timely manner. They've earned my business for as long as I'm in the NJ area.

The job was a great job well done. Exceed my expectation. Service delivered was great. Frank is a very easy and nice person to work with.

Frank was just great to work with and very personable. They did a beautiful job beyond what we expected! Gary and his crew were excellent and put up with all our questions and concerns during the entire job. They were here early and worked all day and attended to every detail. The cleanup was even amazing. I can't say enough good things about them. Would highly recommend them and we will definitely use them in the future.

Fantastic! I always do research on Angie"s list before hiring anyone. I got a few estimates and the reason I went with Frank was because his vision of what my landscape should look like was far better than I had in mind. What he has done has transformed my yard to a "show stopper". His crew arrived on 7/8/15 and removed all the old plants and debris, essentially prepping the yard for the new landscape. On 7/10/15 they arrived at 8:15 and worked thru the day, finishing around 4:00pm. Although, Frank was not onsite all day, he periodically checked back onsite, ensuring everything was going smoothly. When the job was complete, he provided me with detailed instructions on how to care for my new plants, and advised I could call him with any questions that might arise. I would highly recommend Scenic View and will definately be using them in the future!
