Ron's Appliance Service

Two of the servicemen arrived on time as they said. They were here for a total of about 10 minutes. He adjusted levelers on the floor that were not done by a previous installer, and screwed the side back to the cabinet and checked hoses. I was happy with service but thought it was a little pricey for the time they were here and what they had to do. No senior discount. Service call plus cost of labor, I thought was a bit much. For the reason of the $$$ I would hire them again after I checked his prices better. But the work was acceptable.

We called Ron's Appliance at about 10am. We were told that they could come the next day, but in fact they were able to squeeze us in the same day. Ron himself came at 2pm and based on our conversation had anticipated the problem and fixed it immediately. It was a cracked knob and he had a new one in his hand as he walked in. Of course, he's probably seen dozens of similar situations, but it was a relief to know that he arrived when he said he would and was able to fix our problem expeditiously. At first glance $65, $45 for the call and $20 for the part, may seem like a lot for a replacement knob that took 1 minute to install. But Ron was honest and in no way tried to exaggerate the extent of the problem. That is exactly what one would want from a repair service. And it is a relief to have a working appliance back.

They did a great job and the quote was right on. We've used them for multiple issues in the past. They're clean, reputable, they'll do the job from start to finish, and they are trustworthy. I would recommend them to anyone.

I thought Dan was rude at times on the phone. There was little or no communication coming from them when the part was supposed to in by 2 days time. It took over 10 days. I was then promised a 9am appointment, but got a 12-3pm window. He came at 4:30 with no calls or contact of any kind. Would not recommend their services.

Ron is amazing! He was prompt and kept in constant contact. He was very professional. His price was fair and below other estimates. I will use Ron for ALL my appliance repair needs hence forth. Excellent vendor! Our LG box stopped cooling. All food was lost. We called Ron Wednesday evening when we came home from work and discovered the refrigerator had stopped cooling. He set up appointment for 10am next morning Ron arrived on time and went to work. He tested the relay and found it to be burned out. He replaced it and 20 minutes later the fridge was working again. Would use again. Ron's the real deal :)

We called Ron for an oversudsing problem with our dishwasher after having numerous conversations with Fridigidaire. He suggested a fix that we could do ourselves thus saving the cost of a service call. Unfortunately, the fix didn't work so he came over the next day. He immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it with half an hour's worth of labor. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, on time, neat and definitely reasonably priced. We would definitely use him again and will recommend him highly to all our friends and neighbors.

Called on a Friday, and was given a Monday appointment. He arrived and promptly diagnosed the problem, told me the cost of the repair and went to work. He had the part in his truck, and fixed the washer. We have used Ron's before, and have always felt he was knowledgeable and appropriately priced. I recommended his service to a friend with a washer problem and she also was very pleased with his work.

I found Ron''s on Angie List after we started to experience problems with our gas dryer heating up. I called on Monday June 30th and he would have been able to come out that day but I was not going to be available. I told him that I would be home all day on the 3rd and he said he would call early that morning to let me know when he might be out. He called that morning and gave me a 1.5 hour window when he expected to be there. He came out within that time frame, immediately diagnosed the problem, gave me a price for the part and to fix it and along with his assistant went right to work and repaired the dryer within 30 minutes. Ron was very professional and I would definitely recommend him to others and use him again.

My dryer crapped out today and needed it repaired ASAP. I called Ron and came within an hour of me calling him. Very professional. Quick and affordable businessman!

We found Ron's Appliance Service at Christmastime 2011. Our fairly new, dual-fuel kitchen range was not working, TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and we were having family Christmas dinner here. We called the service division of the large store chain from whom we had purchased the unit only 7 years before, but they refused to do any work, saying that the oven was irreparable! Hard to make a Christmas roast dinner in a microwave, which was all we had left, so my wife found Ron through a friend. He came, and for about $125, repaired the oven. Christmas dinner was a success, and we''ve never looked back! Ron, and his brother Danny, are professional, very fair priced, polite, punctual and very, very good to work with. I would recommend them highly, enthusiastically, and without reservation!

They came and diagnosed the problem and said they would order a part but we never heard from them. Also I told the man what the problem was and he didn't believe me but in the end I ended up being right. I wasn't too happy. They were always 30 min behind the time they gave you.

Excellent company. I have used them in the past for appliance issues. They come when promised, very clean and neat in the house. Charges are reasonable I think.. Fixed the problem and also showed me how to better clean the lint trap in the washer too. Vey satisfied and I would definitely use them again. It is a small family company

It was a good experience. I was not there when they did the service but my wife was. They identified the problem and fixed it. I am not familiar with the range of prices for such service and I do not know how much they charged us for it.

Examined the washing machine, saw the motor was broken, gave quote of $245 for repair. When asked, he advised that it looked like I would have more trouble with it in the future as he could see additional wear and tear. Said he'd like to have the job, but it might be time for a new machine. I appreciated his prompt house call and his honesty. I did not proceed with the repair, was happy to pay the $45 service call, and did buy a new machine for $600 from Thornberry's, which was delivered the next day. I will definitely call them again when the need arises.

My LG Electric Range was having a problem where the oven would overheat (temperature would rise to over 600 degrees) no matter what the temperature was set at. I initially call LG for service but I was told I was out of their service range (50 miles) even though my house was only ~30 miles from the service center. I contacted Ron and he was at my house the next day. He diagnosed the problem to be either one of two things wrong. He ordered both parts and installed the parts as needed and returned the parts that he did not need. Ron is a professional and cares about customer service all at a fair price.

Our washer started to make a shrieking noise when starting the spin mode. We called and left a message on Christmas Eve and received a call on the morning of December 26th. Dan arrived within the stated time, assessed the problem and replaced the belt. All in all probably took about 15 minutes. He explained that it would squeak the first time we used the washer but the noise would go after that. That's exactly what happened.

We had a malfunction in our GE gas oven, it was leaking carbon monoxide ( tested by the gas company technician). We called GE and made an appointment, we had to wait a week for it. The day of the appointment GE called to cancel the appointment as they don't have a CO meter! and they need to order it and ship it from Georgia to New Jersey, and it would take another week. This would be after Christmas, meaning our Christmas day celebration was ruined. We called around and no one even wanted to consider looking at the oven when we told them what the problem was. When I talked to Ron, he said he would contact Dan in the area to see if he can help. Dan came the next day, on a Saturday morning, took a look and found the problem with the igniter. Went to his truck, got a genuine GE part and replaced it and voila! We don't have to cancel our Christmas dinner after all, thanks to them! Thank you Ron and Dan, you saved the day.

called Ron's appliance evening of 11/5/2013. Ron arrived 11/6/2013 and repaired dryer. He had parts in truck (WOW didn't have to hear and quot;I'll be back with the partsand quot;) All is good, very professional...from now on I will always call Ron's appliance for whatever needed

Went well. Very nice and honest my refrigerator was not getting cold. I thought it was a major problem. It just needed to be shut off for 48 hours and defrost. It works fine now. My garbage disposal was dead. I thought I would need a new one. After fixing it works fine. Nice to know, I can call Ron's Rand R and expect to receive the best customer service...

I have never been happier with a service provider. Not only did he arrive in less than 2 hours, he took it apart and inspected the belt and lint trap/hose and determined that, while everything was in good condition, he proceeded to lubricate all of the wheels to make sure the noise stopped. He refused to take anything more than the service call fee and even apologized for having to take that! Not that I want an appliance to fail but, without a doubt, they are the only company I will call for servicing things in our home.

On Thursday 9/26/13 we noticed leaking in basement that seemed to be coming from the dishwasher above in the kitchen. Called Ron's Appliance (have used them several times before) and was told they could make a repair call the next day. They would call between 8:30-9:00am on Friday with window for appointment. The next day they called and said they would arrive between 1:00-4:00pm. Received a call at 4:10pm from Dan (the repairman) who said he couldn't find our address. He eventually arrived about 4:25pm. He spent about 10 minutes looking under the dishwasher and said we needed a new motor at $275 plus tax. We agreed to the repair since the dishwasher had been working fine and believed it must have something to do with the the motor pumping the water out. Dan said he would order it as soon as he got in the truck. It should arrive Monday and should be installed Tuesday. When we received no call on Monday or Tuesday, I called Ron on Wednesday abut 10:15am. Ron told me to call Dan direct which I did. Dan said he was driving and said he would call me back. When I didn't hear back by 2:30pm I called again. He said the motor was in and he would call between 9:00-10:00am Thursday with timeframe for repair. When we didn't hear from Dan on Thursday I called him about 11:15am. He said he would be out between 1:00-3:00pm that afternoon. When he hadn't shown by 3:45pm I called again. He arrived about 4:30pm and installed the motor. When the dishwasher was started water began pouring into the basement. Apparently the problem was a leak in the pipe from the sink to the basement. Subsequently had to call a plumber who had to replace a section of pipe and clear a clogged area. Working fine now. Still not sure that the motor needed to be replaced although I was assured it did. I have used Ron's several times and been very pleased with their punctuality, the price and the quality of their work. I was very disappointed in this experience.
