He came to the house and looked at the job and said it was going to cost much more. I have decided not to use the deal.

Took several times to set up appointment. The job was done very well.

Showed up on time. Did a good job. Had one minor problem and within a week came back to fix

Person want to rip off whole floor to install all the new tile. I have few mosaic tile loose need to be fixed and grouts.

There was going to be too much extra cost so I don't want this deal please refund.

We have hired approximately a dozen contractors in the last few years and never had such issues. The only real pro with this contractor was availability. After another contractor had to back out of the project last minute, this contractor, along with a carpenter they work with, were able to come out very soon on short notice. The contractor's technician showed up on time, was nice, and stayed late trying to get all the tiling done. However, the technician left without cleaning at all (despite promises by the contractor that real care would be taken with cleaning since I was pregnant). There was dust all over the bathroom, hallway, and stairs and pieces of grout and caulk all over the bathroom (floors, walls, tub, and toilet). In addition, the new tiles were crooked in several places (despite the fact that all the tiling was done on new backerboard installed the day before by the carpenter recommended by the contractor). There were also areas that were not caulked. Before the technician left, we spoke with the contractor and explained all these issues. The contractor apologized for the mess and agreed to fix whatever crooked tiles could be fixed and take care of the caulking and excess grout issues. It seeming that at least the bulk of the issues would be taken care of, we signed the paperwork and paid with a partial reduction. It took 3-4 hours to clean up all the dust that was left in the bathroom, hallway, and stairs. The contractor, who had been extremely responsive so far, was now much harder to get a hold of, but we eventually spoke and the contractor wanted to see the work before scheduling a repair. The contractor came soon and said they could fix 3 of the 4 areas with crooked tiles, would install caulk where missing, and remove excess grout. It is noted that at this point, the contractor was pretty responsive again. When we tried to schedule a time for the repairs, the contractor insisted on coming out again to see the problems. This seemed unnecessary, but the contractor came soon again and this time said that they could only fix 2 of the 4 areas with crooked tiles. After debating the area we previously thought could be fixed, the contractor stormed out of the house. Desperate to get the project over with, we assented to the contractor's latest terms for the repairs and scheduled a time for them. My husband took time off of work for this purpose and let the contractor know this. The new technician called in advance to reschedule. We confirmed the new time and again advised that time off of work would be needed. The new repair time comes and goes with no one showing up, and no word. After about an hour, my husband tried calling the technician and got no response. Then he tried calling the contractor, who said they were not coming because we did not respond to an email they claimed to have sent outlining the repairs. Vacation time wasted. We checked our inboxes (including junk folders) and no e-mail could be found. Never before had any of our appointments been scheduled or changed via e-mail. The only prior e-mail communication with the contractor was a revised estimate. We repeatedly requested that the e-mail in question be forwarded. The contractor claimed he tried to do so, but that it wouldn't work. Eventually, the contractor texted a photograph of a printed document with something to the effect of "sent by e-mail" handwritten on it. Obviously, this in no way confirmed that an email was ever sent. We never received a forward of that e-mail (but would be happy to revise this review if it is forwarded). Nonetheless, giving the contractor the benefit of the doubt, we rescheduled. This time, the technician showed up on time, was nice, and made the repairs. The no-show is why punctuality was rated so low for this contractor, as otherwise they were on time. With the repairs, the overall work done was just shy of ok (a C-). We still have some crooked tiles and poor caulking, and still find hard-to-spot pieces of grout in the bathroom. We will eventually have to have someone come back and fix the crooked tiles. It is noted that we used this contractor several years ago to re-grout the same bathtub walls, which went quite well. However, after this experience, we would not recommend. UPDATE IN REPLY TO THE COMPANY'S RESPONSE - This is the Mr. First, my wife did have significant involvement with this process and I provided her with all the information and details with regard to each aspect for which she was not directly involved. She is perfectly capable of commenting on our experience and it is offensive how you dismissed her comments. Second, I was not happy with the project. While the touch up work resolved some of the issues, several remained from the original work and I specifically annotated the paperwork "signing off the project" to reflect that I did not think the original work was satisfactory. I will upload photos of the remaining issues for others to review. Moreover, I certainly wasn't happy with the mess left on the original date of service and the vacation time wasted due to the cancellation without any advance notice.

Allan was very prompt after purchasing to setup any appointment. Once we met we setup a day to perform the work. The technician showed up on time and was very professional. All the work was performed like quoted and very happy with the quality of the work!!

I used this vendor once before and had a great experience from start to finish. I purchased a "Big Deal" voucher at $99 for $200 worth of floor cleaning and sealing for my second appointment and my experience has been nothing short of aggravating. There was an initial miscommunication about service being scheduled and instead of a tech showing up to my house the owner, Alan, did. Upon realizing I was a repeat customer he made a call and was able to send out a tech that afternoon to work on the bathrooms. As I had set the day aside for this purpose I appreciated Alan's quick response to rectify the miscommunication. The tech arrived at 4:00 PM and deemed the work to be too lengthy to begin at that time. A call was made and a promise given that someone would contact me to reschedule ... and this is where the story ends. I have called the office THREE TIMES and left messages with ZERO response. As another member reviewed stated, once this company has your money all bets are off. Beyond unprofessional, beyond aggravating, and nothing short of shameful. No way to conduct a business or attempt to get repeat customers. Go elsewhere.

It went very well. He was on time, a few minutes early actually. I am pleased with his work, both bathrooms look very nice.

Quicker than expected. Fabulous results. Floor looks brand new.

leased with thProvider showed up as scheduled. Worked through out the day, approx. 6 hours. Cleaaned, sealed, polished and regrouted bathroom tile. They also recaulked around the toilet, tub and some floor areas. The tech was very professional. He wiped down all surfaces, picked up all materials and left the bathroom in perfect condition. We are very pleased with this vendor and highly recommend them.

Owner or company came and described what needed to be done. He explained that it was "a lot of work" defending the price of $400. He said all of the grout on the walls would be cleaned with a special machine and the chalking would be replaced. When the next guy arrived to complete the job, it took less then a half an hour and the walls were not touched, The chalk was applied, but I question how much of the old stuff was removed. I called and spoke to Alan about the issue wondering if there was a miscommunication, and he said he would have the secretary call me to arrange another visit to fix the problem. I have still not received a call 2 weeks later. I am very disappointed.

This is my second time using the grout medic. I had a small job done a while back. I used them a second time since that small job went so smooth. Again the company was ontime, friendly and did the work we wanted in one day. They even wear shoe covering "booties" to keep my home clean which my wife truly was happy about with a little one crawling. We are a very satisfied customer, our kitchen floor looks like new again!

After specifying that we wanted a couple of spots of Grout fixed that had small cracks in our upstairs bathroom, when they finally came out and my wife stayed home from work to meet them they did not do the work but rather gave a completely different quote on caulking our bathtub which would have come to close to $300+. We never mentioned the bathtub nor does it need caulking. I had been very specific in my communications with them that the floor tile had two spots where the tile was cracked and honestly I could have gotten a marble size piece of grout to fix both, but it was worth the BigDeal to have someone do it. However, here I am having to try to get a refund after the clock ran out on this Big Deal and the Grout Doctor still either playing a game or truly not understanding that I only wanted them to do what the Big Deal was for and what I specifically listed for them to do which was specifically what the BigDeal was for... This was not rocket science but trying to get them to do their job and not something else they wanted to do was like pushing a rope. Communication is a very weak point for this vendor as well as doing what they are specifically paid to do and directed to do.

We have been communicating via email. We are kind of busy right now so they will probably come out next week, but that works with us. Communication with them has been good so far.

It went really well. I had used them in the past and wasn't at all satisfied, but, the work they did right held up great. I thought I'd take another chance in a small area. The owner came in and remembered the problem we had and made it right by doing my kitchen as well for no charge. That's good customer service.

Moved and replaced furniture. Attention to detail. Pleasant. Hard worker.

The first call was the sales pitch, where I had to listen to several unbelievable stories until I heard what the final cost was going to be. Since I had already paid $100 for the "Big Deal", I felt like I had to go with this company. The guy who actually did the job showed up on time, and was very professional. He did a good job explaining what was done, and a great job with the repair. However, I did not like the fact that I was asked to fill out my Angies list review right there in front of him. I know that he is told by his boss to do this to get better reviews, but I did not like that tactic. I will give the company an A, because I feel they did a good job with the repair. However, I would like to point out that the price is probably more in the B-C range. When all was said and done, I paid $400 for 45 minutes worth of work. That was my "Big Deal". Guess I should have gotten into this line of work!

Vendor contacted us promptly and responded to information requested promptly. Decided not to use the remediation service as we are looking to remodel shortly.

It was pretty good. They were pretty professional. When I placed the order through Angie's List it was a little misleading, I actually thought it was only going to cost me $99 but when they came up here it was just offset the $99 against it. So it is hard for us know if the $99 really did anything good for me or not.

My husband and I disagreed as to whether or not we needed the service, but the company seemed friendly enough. I would consider using them in the future.

Felt like he wanted to charge more because I had the deal. Another provider quoted the same work for half the price. Estimate was too high.

Excellent job. Chris worked steadily and carefully and the tub area looks much batter.
