It went really good. I am happy and they did everything they said they were going to do.

We have been very pleased with Barrett Tree Service. We had them come to our property in September 2012, prior to Superstorm Sandy (very fortunate timing) for tree pruning and removal of sick and dead trees. This was the first time this type of work had been done in 20 years so there was a lot to tend to.They did a wonderful job as shown by the fact that we had no damage from Sandy, except for one tree (well away from our house) that we did not have them work on. In spring 2013 we had them come out again and work on the damaged tree in addition to some others minor items we had not had them work on previously. They did an amazing job of cutting out the damage and trimming some major branches, saving the tree itself. Barrett's prefers cash payments but will take credit for an a higher fee. We did have some confusion on that point but worked out the issue to our mutual satisfaction. Also, it took significantly longer to get on their work calendar for the second service, although that may have been due to the large amount of work in the area even (we had waited several months so as to not conflict with others that had more pressing needs).

Had a fence installed and I had an obundance of shurbs, tree limbs, that had to be cut down and deposed of. I had called Barrett Tree Service within a day I had a call back. That day he went over to my house to look at job. Called me back gave me a price, I OK'd it. By the time I got home from work the job was done. Pleasantly suprised that there is a company out there, that did a job with no money down or anything. He said a bill will be in your mailbox. Sent out a check the next day. Excellant service and quite professional.

Very good service overall. Came of for estimate within 48 hours of first contact. Quote was reasonable for service to be performed. Gave a window of time for when service could be be performed (weather permitting), and removed tree within that timeframe.

Overall EXCELLENT. Randy Barrett (owner) was extremely cooperative and very professional. Supplied accurate estimate UP-FRONT for all work that was to be done. Randy Barrett responded promptly ro our phone calls and e-mails and kept us updated with regard to timing and scheduling. Barrett Tree Service crew showed up promptly on scheduled date, performed all work as estimated, cleaned up...in short...Barrett Tree Service did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it and charged exactly what they estimated.

John trimmed and shaped our trees. His crew did a really great job! We were very happy!

Mr. Barrett was great to work with. He explained everything to me prior to starting job to make sure we got the job done that we requested. The crew was polite and worked well with each other. Property was clean after job was completed. On a side note, I just had back surgery and Mr. Barrett had his crew remove my trashcans from the street and place in my driveway which was very thoughtful.

I called Barrett Tree service to have a large tree removed because it was too close to my house. John agreed to drive by the house and call back to give me a price, and he did. They came back later that day and quickly removed the tree. The crew came back at a later date to grind the stump. John was a nice guy and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Barrett and will use them again in the future.

The job could not have gone better. A large team, with all the right equipment showed up right on schedule. The trees were cut and removed, the stumps ground out and the property and street were cleaned up. If you need tree work, give Randy a call.

Selected Barrett Tree service from Angie's list and after reading the Barrett Tree Service website. I was looking for a local company that does quality work at a fair price. I believe I found that in Barrett Tree Service. Called Barrett Tree Service and John responded the same day and came by to a**** the job and give me a written estimate. Some delays in getting me scheduled... but I was finally scheduled when a few jobs were being done in the same couple of block local area on the same day. The job was done in a quality professional manor along with taking care not to damage anything. Everything was cut back as I wanted and the clean-up was also very good. I would recommend and use again.

They showed up when they said they would and were very polite and professional. We did not use use them because they were too expensive

They provide the most knowledgeable tree experience compared to other vendors. Their pricing is fair if they accompish what they said they could.

We had tree damage from superstorm Sandy, large downed 60 foot trees and big branches from trees covering our side yard. We had called two other companies first. One estimator came and just shook his head and said "what a big mess." He sounded hesitant to take the job and gave a quote but said he'd have to talk to his boss. Another company had us on a waiting list and could never make it out to do an estimate and kept postponing. Then we called Barrett. They came out the same day we called. We talked to John. He had a can do attitude and and gave us the estimate. Due to the understandable back log due to the storm, we were on a short waiting list of 3 weeks. Barrett came when they said they would. The owner Randy would call us and give us updates and confirmed that the job would definitely be done on our scheduled date. They came with a crew of 5 men plus John and Randy came to look at everything. Randy even took a look around our property to see if there was any other trees which would potentially create imminent danger. Their price was competitive or a slight bit higher but they were very professional and worth it. They cleaned up and the area and blew off the saw dust from the driveway. The large cut up tree trunk pieces were placed at the curb neatly stacked. Barrett said they'd send someone to get them but the township came by and picked them up first which worked out fine. Not sure if that's what they meant but it worked out. Everything else was ground up in their chipper. We'd use them again certainly.

The service was great, the team removed all the furniture and planters from the deck before they started and put everything back in place when they were finished. They removed all the debris from the trees and left the yard and surrounding property clean. My only negative comment is that they did not take the shavings/wood chips from the stump grinding. If they had offered I would have paid extra to have this mess taken away. Having said that, I do plan to have them back in the fall to trim the trees in the back of the yard.

John Barrett came to the house for the initial estimate. Unlike the other company that provided an estimate, John took his time to look at each tree and limb and determine what should be removed and what shouldn't - and why. As we looked over the job John explained so much more about tree care. He certainly has a wealth of knowledge and is passionate about what he does. That is what really sold me on having Barrett do the job. I felt the job would be done professionally and with great care, and indeed it was. While John was at the house I also had him look at some of my other trees and shrubs and he shared additional suggestions on proper care. I will likely have Barrett come back to prune a fairly large Blue Spruce and do some other work. My overall experience was very positive and I would definitely recommend them.

Only co I would use for Tree trimming or complete removal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called Barrett Tree Service on Wednesday late,6pm or so and left a message. received a call back next morning from Randy the owner around 10am, job was done by 4:30pm THAT DAY!!! great price,great service,great crew of guys, clean,fast,efficient.I would recommend this company to anyone and will always call them for my tree services.Don't waste you time calling anyone else

The whole experience was good, from start to finish. Came out and provided a quote, a few weeks later came and did the work. No issues and everything was cleaned up after they left.

We found Barrett's tree service on Angie's List, read the positive reviews and thought we should give it a try. We requested a price quote. They came out, visited the properties. It was clear that they are not in business to cut trees down, but rather people that truly care about trees. We spent 15 minutes talking about the 4 other trees we were considering to cut down. We were quickly convinced that these tree's were healthy and the fence we were thinking of putting up would not be hindered by the trees. Needless to say, we had 3 "dead" trees removed and the stumps grounded down. The oak tree had branches that were over the roof and the street. We were afraid of squirrels getting onto the roof via the branches. The crew came out, and did a fantastic job!! They cleaned up both properties, you would never know they were there. I would recommend Barrett Tree Service to anyone -- they were great!!

They skillfully trimmed every tree and shrub on my property and cut back a bunch of trees at my property line that were hanging over a fence. Excellent work, left the place clean and great price for the work done. Highly recommended.

The shrubs look beautiful. The price is very reasonable. I would rate him high overall. He does work himself. He is very conscientious and very personable. He comes on time and very punctual. I would definitely use him again in the future.
