Work came out great, and was completed within budget and on time. Ralph stayed in contact regularly, offered good suggestions and his team of craftsmen were first rate in capabilities and professionalism. We were very happy with the work performed and the communication throughout.

National Home Improvements did a great job. Ralph, the owner, takes it upon himself to be in prompt, constant contact with you, whether it's the initial meeting, keeping you up to date at the beginning and end of each day on the work being done, or an occasional joke to lighten the mood. He logs many steps and miles each day to insure that he personally interacts with his customers. Hard to believe that all this is being done by one person. He was always approachable and responsive. The NHS crews are hardworking and professional. The standard observation for many of them was that their lunch "hour" typically lasted no more than 30 minutes. And they are very knowledgeable and skilled. It was readily obvious that they consider their work as more than just a job, and take personal pride in what they accomplish. They were also friendly and open to requests, and readily provided guidance when requested. Two of the crew who spent a substantial block of time at the house in the finishing stages of the work were so kind, and so helpful, that it felt more like two friends visiting each day than workers. Our originally intended renovation project grew as the home was more closely inspected and required some basic repairs. Ralph's crew expertly diagnosed the problem and developed a course of action to promptly remediate the situation and proceed to renovation. When all was done, the transformation of the old outdated areas they worked on was a great sight to see. High quality work that 's a pleasure to see day in and day out.

I reached out to National based on the reviews and comments I read on Angies list. I couldn't be happier! We just purchased our new house and knew we had to choose the right contractor to make it look great. National Home Improvements and Ralph completely surpassed our expectations. They were not the cheapest but worth the extra money. We started with custom windows that were installed properly and efficiently which was difficult because of the rotted wood. All of the wood had to be replaced. The new look of the windows is so beautiful ! We then started with wood, siding, and trim . It was messy and they cleaned up every day. We went with real cedar wood shingles ( maibec) and ( azek) trim. I don't know how they do it but the distinction of great work was so clear . We really enjoyed working with National and many people can't always say that about their contractor. Not everything went smoothly. But they were always accessible, and we changed things along they way (a lot). Ralph always answered his phone or text and put up with us!! The end result was an stunning transformation of windows, wood siding, and trim work. We really appreciate and plan on enjoying the work for a long time . And since we like to cook and entertain a lot we realty wanted that WOW kitchen and a nice bathroom to match. I'm really not sure how Ralph and the crew at National do it so well. I don't think I've ever experienced a contractor being on his A game with communication as much as Ralph. From the minute I contacted them through the completion of our project, Ralph was constantly in touch with me to keep me updated on the status of the project and make sure my wife and I were comfortable with everything that they were doing to our home. Even it was just a quick phone call or text message update. I was never sitting around waiting for an answer or response. which is all too common of the typical contractor?homeowner relationship. The work that they did was awesome. And, as other reviewers here note, I was Impressed at how clean they kept our home on a daily basis. With two young kids in our home, it was important to us that our home was not a construction zone full of dust and debris for several weeks. We absolutely love our new kitchen and bathroom and are very pleased with the overall experience. I stress the overall experience because that Is what we had the most anxiety about. My wife and I both work a lot, and with two young kids. time is at a premium. One of the reasons we waited so long to do this project is because we didn't want to deal with the stress and time commitment of managing a pretty big home improvement. But Ralph and his team proved us wrong, as the whole process wasn't stressful at all. Actually, it was pretty fun to be able to sit down and create our dream kitchen with Ralph's guidance. He gave us some ideas that we had never thought of before. There are a lot of contractors out there who can do a nice kitchen remodel or bathroom update. But there aren't many who can manage the project as seamlessly as National did. Thais why I confidently recommend them to friends and family, and anyone here.

As I was researching different brands of replacement windows, reading customer satisfaction comments (or lack of satisfaction) I came across a comment saying "go on Angies List, it's well worth it". And so I did. I came across National Home Improvements which had 100% A Ratings with glowing reviews and comments. I called early the next morning and got the answering service and within 15 minutes I got a call back from Ralph. He and his crew were extremely professional. Every step went smoothly and I was confident I would be happy with the finished product. I would definitely recommend Ralph and his company. They truly deserve every "A" they get and I'm happy to add one more to the list!

National Home Improvements worked with my wife and I to redesign both the interior and exterior of our home. They were extremely professional, patient, and responsive to all our needs. They helped supply the architect for design specs and the level of craftsmanship was second to none. The original job detailed the redesign of our kitchen and master bathroom. Both rooms were renovated without any displacement of our family. The workers were extremely clean, trustworthy, and professional while never leaving a mess. The cabinets, tiles, sinks, and shower were ordered and installed as scheduled. The project manager was onsite regularly. The second phase of the renovation was the replacement of all of our windows and installing Certaintead Cedar Siding with a new roof. Once again, National Home Improvements exceeded expectations and met the planned schedule. High grade Anderson windows were installed with ease and the siding looked amazing. The old roof was ripped off and replaced with a Timberline brown roof. We could not have picked a better quality contractor to help make our dream home. The process of our entire project was made so seamless because of the easy communication. Every time we had a question the foreman or Ralph was always available . The owner Ralph of National Home Improvements made our dreams a reality! We renovated our kitchen with brand new granite counter tops, a double sink, disposal system, floor & cabinet staining and updated our trim work. His prices were extremely reasonable and craftsmanship is top notch! The best part about working with Ralph is he actually gets the job done when he says he will and most importantly respected our budget.

Our experience with National Home Improvements was a positive one from the initial phone call. Ralph called me back within minutes of me leaving a message with his office. He was very personable and friendly and set an appointment up for the very next day, which he promptly arrived for. Upon meeting Ralph I kind of knew right away that we would be using him, even though we had other appointments set up with various contractors. It was like meeting up with an old friend. His price was very fair, and his energy and enthusiasm towards doing our job sealed the deal. Although I'm sure I challenged his patience at times, he never showed it and went above and beyond to satisfy my wishes. When I added a roof at the last minute, he got it done. The siding crew did an excellent job as well as the mason and roofer, and Joe the window installer was meticulous. They are excellent! They finished our house today, and we are so appriciative of the quality of work. It looks so beautiful! The detail of the work is what made our house really stand out. Every part of the project went smoothly. We loved the access to Ralph and his team of workers. Everytime we called them they answered, making it very easy to communicate with them, which was huge for us. Our project was big and complicated and they did it in true A+ quality. I found National Home Improvements on Angies list and was very impressed with all the positive reviews. I reached out to Ralph and within 24 hours he responded right back. He met us within the week and was able to give me an estimate right away. Ralph has a wonderful energy about him, my husband & I felt comfortable with him right away. He then introduced us to Alex to help with the design of the kitchen, he had some fantastic ideas and was able to come up with a great design to maximize our small kitchen space. We took down a wall, opening up the kitchen to the dining room which gave it a much needed lift. Once the job started both Alex and Ralph were always communicating the project progress. The project was exactly on budget and completed on time. I was thoroughly impressed with the crew, how tidy they left things every day and also how fantastic they were with our dogs. The kitchen looks amazing!!! It opened up the living space and has made it a complete joy to cook and entertain. Ralph Favilla contacted me within hours of my e-mailing National Home Improvements for a quote. At our first meeting, his enthusiasm and energy were so expansive, I knew I wanted to work with him. Assured by Ralph he would keep an eagle eye on the project, we spoke practically every day over the course of the following two weeks. Much of the success of the project must be credited to the foreman Ronnie. His creativity and suggestions were immensely helpful to me especially in my more needy moments. Ronnie steered me towards consistency in a myriad of small decisions which tied the room together beautifully. Ralph addressed our punch list quickly and fairly. The project was completed within the agreed upon time frame, even a few days early. Ever since, I am happily enjoying my sleek chic brand new retro bathroom.

It went great; They are absolutely awesome. These guys, Ralph and National, were great. They were polite, respectful to me and my house, they left the job site clean and safe every evening. There were several glitches along the way, but they were handled professionally and definitely to our satisfaction. We are getting ready to sell our house, which will be much more difficult to do now that we have finally fixed it after 20 years. If we need any work in the future, we will definitely use them. They were amazing. My wife is in construction, and knowing how tough she would be, they passed every single metric. The most important thing to us is that the job was finished ahead of schedule since we are getting ready to close. Truly a 5 star construction company.

National Home Improvements is as close as they come to being perfect. We did a complete renovation on our whole house from our kitchen to the bathrooms, windows to siding, all the way to a full basement remodel. They made our home into our dream home. From the concept to the construction, everything was very easy. Of course there is always something that comes up, but it was very seamless to fix. We absolutely love our new house! The owner, Ralph, was extremely easy to work with. We received constant updates and the communication was excellent. They were worth every penny and the outcome of our job was absolutely phenomenal. I wish all contractors were like National Home Improvements! We wanted to share our amazing experience with this company.

We could not be more satisfied with everything. From start to finish everything was handled in not only a professional manner but time lines and expectaions were spot on. The quality is actually better that we anticipated. As great as everything went, 1 of the advantages that we found we would have never received elsewhere was the creativity and suggestions from the owner of the company. His experience really came out when he suggested certain things that we would have never thought of. The craftsmanship and quality was 2nd to none. They literally transformed our house into something spectacular, we started with remodeling the entire first floor, and the quality and detail of the work was superb. They were not the cheapest company, but the extra money was worth every dollar. We also received constant updates and the communication between us and the contractor was excellent. The scheduling and timing was done ahead of schedule. Estimate, pricing and budget was on target. Owner and crew were extremely friendly. First class job! Neighbors also used them for roofing and siding.

The project estimation, pricing, budget, and everything was perfect, on time, and most importantly for me they always showed up on time and the job finished on time.

Update 3/14/15 - Once I submitted my original review, Ralph, the owner, persistently called, trying to reach me. The first few times, he never left a message and since I didn't recognize the number I didn't answer the phone. He finally left me a message, leaving his personal cell phone #, advising he was truly sorry for the confusion and he'd love to provide us with a quote. When we finally spoke, I asked him what exactly happened and he said there was probably some miscommunication between him and his office staff - with all the work he has scheduled he made a comment about how they probably won't be done with all the work until August which was relayed to me by mistake. Whatever - he seemed sincerely apologetic for the confusion and said he would come to provide us an estimate whenever was convenient for us. He said that what transpired was ultimately his fault because he's the owner of the company and everything reflects upon him and at the end of the day, he's responsible for everything. It was very refreshing to hear someone take responsibility for not only his but his employees' actions. Ralph provided us a verbal quote on 2/28. We are still researching other contractors for our project but are appreciative of Ralph trying to rectify the situation. ====================================================== Original Report 2/12/15 I contacted this provider on 1/25 via Angie's List email to see about getting a free estimate for a kitchen remodel, and possibly a bathroom remodel. I advised of my city and county (of which they do service) in that email and that weekends were the best for my husband and me. I received no response. I forwarded the 1/29 email on 2/2 and again got no response. I forwarded the 2/2 email on 2/9 and said that if they weren't interested in providing me with an estimate to please let me know so I would look for another contractor. I received a phone message the next day (2/10) from Daisy advising that she had been out of the office for a while but would like to possibly set something up. She asked me to contact her with our address and she'd see about arranging an appointment. I sent her an email via Angie's List advising that I got her message and that we are located in City, County and asked if they were available for an appointment either the weekend of 2/14-15 or 2/21-22? (I wasn't quite ready to provide my home address until I knew the contractor was available/interested). On 2/11, I received an email reply from Daisy stating, "I'm not too sure about this weekend, It probably be for the following weekend. Can you please email me your address so I can schedule the estimate?" On 2/12, I responded with my address, despite not being quite sure why they needed my exact address to check availability and schedule an appointment; but figured if that's what she needed to get this process moving along, I'd give her the address. Imagine my surprise - after telling me the estimate would probably be scheduled for the following weekend - to get a voice mail message from Daisy later that same day (2/12) telling me that they are extremely busy and can't schedule an appointment at that time to do a kitchen estimate and that they'll probably be free in August. So depending upon my time frame for getting this work done, maybe I can call them back and we can schedule something mutually convenient. HUH??? I find it extremely odd that up until the point I gave her my address, they were amenable to coming out now to give me an estimate but the minute I give them my address, they're "extremely busy" and won't have any time until August? Something sounds fishy to me.

We contacted National Home Improvements and 2 other company's about getting an estimate to replace our roof, drafty windows and siding. The other 2 company's sent out salesman to give us an estimate and they both tried pressuring us into signing a contract that same night which my husband and I refused. When Ralph from National arrived, he was very professional and answered all of our questions. We never felt any pressure from him as he was explaining the process from start to finish. He was helpful in offering us different ideas that would work for our style home. A few days later he returned showing us roofing and siding colors that would compliment our neighborhood. His price was very fair and the quality of work was excellent. The entire project took a few weeks as they lost some days because of the weather. We are very excited that the job is now completed. My husband and I were very impressed with the attention to detail and especially with the finish work. They finished the job ahead of schedule as promised. The overall experience was very easy and we now have the nicest home on the block. Yes, would recommend them to our friends. Next project for National Home will be our deck in the Spring. We could not be happier with Ralph and his crew. They did such a wonderful job and literally transformed our new home. Ralph was extremely easy to work with. We were prepared for some headaches that you generally expect from contractors but they pleasantly surprised us. We will not look anywhere else for future projects. We received constant updates - communication was superb! I hear nightmares from friends and family who can't reach their contractors and we could not relate. I don't think I am going to be able to find a contractor that takes this much pride in his work and is willing to make the customer happy no matter what it takes! And the work they did was phenomenal - worth every penny. We need more contractors like this one!

This extensive job was completed today and we are very pleased with the work -- it's top notch. We had our family room bumped out, redid our kitchen and redid one of our bathrooms. It was a very big job and we were prepared for lots of headaches. We also thought that given the holidays, this job would not get done until March. But we were wrong, on both counts. The job went smooth for construction I have to say. And these guys still showed up even in the holiday season, like they said they would. I had to write a review because these guys are very hardworking, down to earth people. They are honest guys to deal with and fair. I may have been able to save a few bucks if I went with another company but I'm not sure I would have received the quality of work and don't believe the job would have been completed in a timely manner. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Their workmanship was excellent and we would highly recommend them to anyone else. They did remarkable work. They were excellent.They were professional, courteous and I would happily have them do work for us again in the future. Just a phenomenal experience.

We have had experience with a number of contractors over the years. Our latest project was to finish our basement of 2500 square feet, complete with an eat-in chef's kitchen, serving area and bar. National was able to provide us with some very creative ideas and options. They were instrumental in our design and worked closely and collaboratively with us through the entire process. They helped us create our dream and then made it a reality for us. This has become our go-to entertaining space and we just love it!!! We couldn't be happier with the end product, true attention to detail throughout. The craftsmanship was second to none. They really take pride in their work, as if they were doing it for their own home -- which was nice to see. My husband and I were so impressed with the level of transparency we received from National. We always knew what to expect and when to expect it. We felt in good hands.
