Description of Work: It was pretty terrible. | |1) They arrived a day late for the pickup, and did not call to say anything. I had taken the day off from work, and when I called to complain, the dispatcher was very unhelpful and unprofessional. | |2) When they did show up to move my stuff, the actual movers were decent, but once everything was on the truck, the quote jumped about $1000. Calling the office was not helpful, and I realized that this was their way of business, because they stated that the number of items in my shipment(not the square footage which is what the original quote was based on)increased. I explained that I had decided to use smaller boxes rather than large ones to make the move easier for both me and the movers, and that the overall square footage had not increased (three small boxes, each 5 cubic feet in volume, still amount to one extra large box of 15 cubic feet in volume, right?). I was told that because the number of boxes was more I had to pay more. | |3) The day of the scheduled delivery, they do not show up or call until several hours later. They apologized and rescheduled for the next day. Again same thing, they do not show up or call until several hours later. My husband has just moved for a new job, and he ended up having to leave work early three times to accommodate their incompetence. | |4) When they finally showed up, they show up in an 18- wheeler at my apartment complex (and not the truck they had used to collect our items) stating that if they cannot get into the complex, they will drop my stuff off and I will have to pay $400 for storage and for re-delivery. | |I cannot express the amount if stress, and irritation I experienced with this mover! The way they do business, is simply unprofessional.
