+ -1 moreI don't know why Bill comes so highly recommended. I reached out to him several months ago to find an apartment in the J.C./Hoboken area to buy. At first, he told me that there was no inventory, and there was nothing to show me. That should have been my first indication that something was wrong, since I was receiving MLS listings from his own website. He then told me that I should wait until an apartment that he was going to put on the market became available, and he would get me into see it (I only later came to find out that an agent can be on both the buyer and seller side and collect a double fee). But even that didn't work out, as that apartment sold before I even got a chance to look at it. Bill then became totally unresponsive to any emails -- not that I much wanted to work with him anyways because he had just wasted about the first three weeks of my home search without showing me a single home. Anyways, I ended up with one of Bill's competitors who was very responsive and showed me no less than 20 apartments over the next month before I settled on one. There are good realtors in the area, don't settle for one that doesn't do their job.

Bill is very familiar and knowledgeable about the Heights and the Jersey City real estate market. He was efficient in finding us a suitable tenant and moved quickly through the credit check and lease signing process. Bill always was attentive and available, and moved things along at our pace. Although I cannot speak for her, I think the tenant would also agree that he was fair and attentive to her needs as well. Bill was great about communicating updates along the way, and his thorough emails always kept me up to date on our progress. I would definitely recommend Bill for any real estate needs in JC: buying or selling a home, or for a tenant or landlord. He was very professional, and respectful of all parties. Bill does not hard sell. He lets his work, integrity and knowledge speak for itself, so it is very easy and comfortable to work with him. My next real estate needs are outside of Jersey City, I wish I could use him there!!! I cannot recommend him enough!

This group is very professional, personable and experienced. It is my opinion, that they went to every length to get us the best possible price for our property. They did their part to make this experience move as smoothly as possible! We would use them again and highly recommend them. Did I mention we were pleased with the outcome? Yes, very much so!
Description of Work: Our Family member passed away, unexpectedly. None of us live it this area, and we needed to sell the property. So we turned to Angies List, and found this Realtor. We called Remax, had the initial meeting, and they took over from there. Perrformed all the tasks necessary to selling a property, contacted us often, to apprise and advise. Today's market is not easy, to say the least. These people worked hard to provide all that we needed to sell this home with as few glitches as possible. They appraised the property, came up with a fair value, we did know what the cost of the home was! They arranged for all that was needed to make the home more marketable.

Description of Work: In February I went to Re/Max Realty on Grove St in downtown Jersey City in order to list a one-bedroom condo for sale, and was lucky to get Bill (Harold) Graber as my Realtor. He was quite knowledgeable about the market and the legal and financial considerations of this estate sale. In addition, he had an expert eye towards increasing the attractiveness and selling price of the apartment. Bill from the beginning took an active approach to the sale, introducing me to painters, stagers, contractors in case their services were needed. As it happened, they were not, because he found a buyer willing to purchase the place as-is for a fair price. The whole process went incredibly smoothly, and the sale was completed--from first contact to closing--in less than two months. During that time, Bill arranged to get all the necessary documents for both attorneys--title, deeds, insurance info--and kept me informed of each development, big and small. (To spare me a trip, he even went to purchase a fire extinguisher and brought it to the apartment.) In addition to his expertise and professionalism, Bill was a delight to work with: pleasant, low-pressure, with a sly sense of humor. I felt very fortunate in finding him and recommend him without reservation.

+ -1 moreI first met Bill after a cold call on may part to Remax. He met me at my home and I immediately felt comfortable that Bill was the right realtor for me to sell my place. He presented a great packet of information that helped me understand the market and where it may be headed. He presented honest ideas of the best way to present and sell my place to prospective buyers. Bill was extremely helpful throughout the process. He has a great little team of people that helped me stage and make my place look the best it has easily looked in the nine years I owned it. The stager was by no means expensive, and with how good my place looked I recouped the cost easily! I know when I was getting ready to sell I was worried that I wouldn't find an honest, upfront realtor that knew the process and would help me maximize my sale. Bill was amazing and was exactly that. He always responded to any phone call, text or email. He was great in keeping on me to get information. He also was extremely helpful when I moved before my sale in keeping things on deadline. I would ABSOLUTELY 100% recommend Bill to my family and friends.

Description of Work: Mr. Bill Graber handled the sale of our home.After living in our home for 28 years, it was a very hard decision for my husband and me to sell. + -1 moreWe found Bill through another web site providing names of exceptional Real Estate agents. Bill definitely lived up to that standard. From our initial meeting (where he presented his market research, lists of comparables, fully disclosed his fees) it became clear Bill listened and had the heart of a teacher. He was patient at every stage of selling our home, clearly explaining everything we didn't understand, and offered solid advice. He never told us what we wanted to hear, instead he always gave us his opinions based upon his experience - and was respectful of our opinions, needs, hopes, and fears. Once we sold our townhouse (contract in under one week) he stayed actively involved, showing up at the home inspection, dealing with buyers agents, staying on top both the buyer and sellers attorneys, and showing up at closing. Bill never took anything for granted. He always answered our calls and was an amazingly strong shoulder during the many tense moments when it seemed like the entire deal was on the verge of falling apart. Bill is a total pro and we completely recommend him as a reliable, honest, hard-working real estate agent.
