The plumber did an excellent job testing the safety of our two boilers. He identified a small gas leak, which he was able to correct on the spot. He answered our questions and was pleasant and professional.

Theae people do not value your time. I made a appointment a week in advance and a mid week confirmation, only to be blew off by a Emercency that required Kook and his Sons to handle. If a cancellation call had been made to me before I had to call maybe it woildnt have been as bad, but after tolls and a day of lost work for me its pretty clear they Dont care.

We’ve used Kook and Son exclusively over close to 15 years in multiple residences because of their professionalism, promptness and the quality of their work. The technicians are also trained in current equipment (tankless water heaters, high efficiency furnaces, etc) In our most recent engagement our tankless hot water heater developed a leak overnight. I called Kook around 9 am and they were able to get someone there that morning even though the techs were already at another job (great in and of itself!). The technician then worked with the manufacturer to troubleshoot and determined that the unit needed to be replaced and was under warranty. This is where Kook really shined: the manufacturer needed to review pictures of the unit, where the leak was, etc. before approving the claim and allowing us to get a replacement unit so there was no way to schedule an appointment with Kook since we didn’t know specifically when we’d get that info from the manufacturer. Kook worked with us over the two days it took getting the manufacturer the info they needed and waiting for their approval and made technicians available the minute I was emailed the return authorization. They arrived within a couple of hours with the replacement unit (again, without a previously made appointment), replaced the defective unit and had hot water up and running again in a few hours. Howard Kook, the owner, also called me personally several times to let me know they were on the case, working with their staffing to ensure someone would be available when needed, etc. since he understood that being without hot water, even briefly, is a big problem and he didn’t want us to worry that we weren’t being attended to in the background even as we waited for the return authorization to take the next step. We have and continue to give Kook and Son our highest recommendation.

Good - bigger job than I expected but they completed promptly

Thorough check was provided. Technician was knowledgeable. Arrived several hours later than given appointment time.

My experience was very positive with this company. From the person who took my call to the technician that showed up. They were all polite, professional and accommodating. I will certainly call them again when I have another plumbing or heating need.

The service worked out fine. If I remember correctly I thought they were expensive. I just remember they installed a toilet and it cost too much money. They did an okay job, but it was overpriced. I use another plumber now.

Realized my hot water heater was leaking this afternoon. Checked Angie's List and found these guys were in the neighborhood and well recommended. Called and spoke to Anne Marie who was very helpful. She quoted me a price and said someone could be there to take a look to see what they needed and be back in the morning to do the job. I asked her if there was any way to do the job today and she said probably not because of the hour (i understand, no sense promising what you cannot do). I told her that was okay and to send her guy over. Within 20 minutes, two guys, Tony and Akash, were at the door. They said the job seemed straight forward and they would be back first thing in the morning. I asked them if there was any way they could do it today. They put their heads together, discussed the straight forward nature of the job, proximity to the office, called a supplier to see if a delivery was available, and went to work. By 4:00, they were done and out the door. It was about 2 hours and 20 minutes from my first phone call to job done. If this is how this company does business on a regular basis, they will have all of my future plumbing jobs. The whole team was outstanding.

The service was good and they left the area clean. What stood out the most was that they showed up. They were pretty prompt.

I was pleasantly surprised that a person came to look at the dripping single-handle shower faucet on the day that I called. However, I did not have much confidence in the plumbers' skills. He had a difficult time removing the handle and plate to gain access to the pipes. After replacing the cartridge, he reassembled the handle and plate but had the hot and cold supply backwards. He had to remove everything again and it took him another 3 tries to re-install the plate and handle without leaks. It took almost 3 hours to complete the task so it was expensive. And then, he lost the check that I gave him so I had to stop payment (Kook's paid the charge) and send in a new check. In general, the service was not great.

Give them an A definitely. Excellent service. The guy cleaned up little splashes and couldn't have been nicer. Very professional and nicely dressed, clean as well. They called on Friday at around 4 when they were backed up with emergencies and asked if I minded if they come Monday morning. Called me Monday morning and came out like they said they would. They are just the best.

Cancelled appointment last minute.

Said they would arrive between 8.15 and 10.30am, got here little after 8.30. Was done and leaving by 9:15. Nice guy, didn't seem like he was trying to rip me off or anything. Fixed what needed it and nothing more. Tried to clean up as best he could afterward.

Even a simple problem can snowball, but here they came in - made the repair - gave a fair cost and was very timely and professional.

From booking the appointment all the way through the finish of the job everything was done professionally and with excellent service.

Great service. Very punctual and really knew exactly what to do.

Tony arrived when he said he would, explained every step of the job and reassured me we weren't in imminent need of a new boiler (a previous visit by Weatherbusters struck fear into our hearts when the rep. dramatically refused to charge us, saying and quot;If anything were to happen, we'd be liable.and quot; and strongly implying my entire household was about to be asphyxiated by a carbon monoxide leak). Tony checked the boiler, cleaned the sight glass, ran some cleaning compound through and also addressed an issue with our LG washer causing a hammering sound when it draws water from our on-demand water heater. He installed an arrestor, which solved the problem. He also left me with a coupon good for 10% off our next work from Kook. Very satisfied.

The crew arrived on time and the work was completed in a timely manner with excellent results. Vey happy with the outcome

They did a very nice, tidy job. They're always good. They keep my faucets running well. First they tried to figure out if they could fix it and then they determined that the mechanisms, the valves were just shot. They showed me the part and what was wrong. He said, "I would be better off just buying a new faucet and you might want to try this brand or this brand." And it just happened that I picked up one of those brands the night before because I figured that might be the case and I didn't want to waste an hour, where he goes and does all that, goes to buy a faucet and brings it back a few hours later. So I bought a faucet. And he said that I needed a new faucet, so I said, "Okay. Here's one. Can you put it on?" So it was all taken care of. He complimented me on my choice. I bought a mid-range, American made quality faucet. Everybody was happy. He's very trustworthy. I've been using them for about ten years. His price is a little bit high, but it's worth, because you never have to call someone else to redo it. And that's worth a lot, for me. They clean up after themselves and take away the gross pipe and whatever.
