 + 0 moreGustavo of Jupz responded promptly to my request, came over, walked through the requirements of the project, assured me he had done it many times before, knew exactly what to do and had all the tools. He gave me a bid ($130 a door)and we agreed. When he showed up to perform the project he had an assistant but none of the tools that we had discussed and was surprised that the job entailed more that putting hinges on the new doors. At this point it was clear he had never replaced a door, had no idea how to do it and did not have the correct tools. After a little back and forth he said that he would have to charge me triple to do the job. I declined his offer since he did not have the skills, experience or tools to complete the job without ruining my doors. Not sure how Angie's List screens contractors.
