EXCELLENT! Danny came to save the day! He was very good and was able to explain the whole process to me AND he was able to cut and save some of my wainscotting as I am hoping to reuse it.

the team at Carmine's plumbing and heating were knowledgable, fair and professional. assessing the issue, Carmine prioritized my problem and sent a plumber out to visit first thing the next morning. plumber immediately recognized the issue, replaced the valve, tested and delivered a solution. quality service, work with a reasonable price tag to match.

I was rush to replace a faucet in my rental property and I was not present on site that day. The service man showed up quickly and get work done within 20 mins. But they asked for very high price for such a small work $300. The new faucet they install is just very normal faucet which cost less than $50. I feel like they have no standard on pricing because I found out another customer review saying that they charged another him $200 to replace kitchen faucet and shut off valve. But they charged me 50% more than other customer for less work. Later on another handyman emailed me back they usually charge $75 to replace faucet cartridge or $120 labor to install a new faucet. So Carmine's price is quick high and has no standard.

My upstairs bathroom sink was clogged. I called and made an appointment the same day. A plumber came out (unfortunately I don't remember his name) and took a look at the problem. Then he went to work. He was very courteous and professional. And within half an hour the sink was unclogged. I thought the price was very reasonable (compared to other plumbers I've used from Angies List in the past). I would definitely recommend.

Responded immediately to my email. Came the same day. Punctual and professional. Cleaned up everything. Will definitely hire again.

Carmine was able to get someone out right away to snake the line, solving the problem and preventing further damage. We've worked with this family business for nine years and never been disappointed.

Our old system could be characterized as an antique but we just couldn't afford a new system. Carmine and, his son, Ben understood our situation and managed to keep the terminally ill boiler alive for nine years. Finally, the water pump effectively exploded. Initially, we considered just replacing the pump but in the end we replaced the entire system. Obviously, this was a big expense for us but Carmine really worked to keep the cost as low as possible. This was a challenging job due to the age of our building and we couldn't be happier with the work they did. I would recommend this family business to anyone.

We were in need of a licensed plumber who could help up bring our home's plumbing to code in order for the house to sell. Mr. Aumenta was such a pleasure to work with. His extensive knowledge of what needed to be done was very helpful. Very professional and gave sage advice just like a father would pass on to a son or daughter. All work was done cleanly, and on schedule. We had a last minute request to unhook the stove from gas line. Mr. Aumenta understood we were in the last few days of selling our home and the help was needed asap. So he sent someone right over the following day. I'd recommend him over and over again.

The overall experience was very professional and exactly the help and expert knowledge that I needed. Parking is difficult in our neighborhood but the Aumenta service provider left early and was a problem-solver in terms of finding his own parking. It was very helpful that they did this so that they could be on time for the appointment, and it was much appreciated. They will be my go-to for HVAC or plumbing issues moving forward. Highly recommended.

I have used Carmine Aumenta several times. They've fixed a toilet, installed toilet and vanity, installed hot water heater, and serviced my boiler. They are fantastic. They do good work, are prompt, and are very honest. I felt compelled to write this review because in preparation to sell my home, I asked them to look at the boiler to see if needed anything. They called and said they remember servicing it two years ago and it's still in good condition and needed no work. And they said they wouldn't charge me for the service trip. I will continue to use them, namely because they do good work and I trust them.

It went great. I spoke directly with Carmine who scheduled a plumber to come to our home the very same day I called. The plumber was professional, courteous, and provided clear explanation for the work that would need to be performed as well as several price estimates. All Repairs were made quickly. I will be using them again in the future and would definitely recommend them for general plumbing service.

I have used Aumenta Plumbing in the past for my home and loved the service I received. If I trust them on my home i know the owners of the buildings I manage will do the same. Carmine is always a pleasure to talk to on the phone. His staff is always professional, hard working, great communication and finish the job no matter what. This property is an older one and to see what this plumber had to go through. I was amazed he could fit into certain areas of that basement to do what he needed. I was even more amazed how much dedication to snaking a drain that hadn't been done in almost 3 years. I will continue to use Aumenta for mine and my clients homes!

I called before 8, talked to the owner. He asked me to email him the part # for the cartridge. Before i could find it, he called asking where it was. I sent it to him by 8:15. I called at 9 to make sure he received it. He said he guessed he had since he heard e-mail noises. I did more research and found outfit was a standard American Standard cartridge, 5 were available at the Home Depot 5 blocks away. At 11:00 I called to see if I was on the schedule. The owner started loosing his temper and told me not to call anymore and to hit and be contacted by him in a nasty tone. He slammed down the phone. I made a call to another plumber (Clear Flow) and it was fixed within 3 hours. Carmine called at 4:30 and slammed down the phone when I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude, and had the work done elsewhere. I had used Aumenta previously with good results, but don't need abuse from a plumber when checking to see if they're coming.

All our plumbing issues were resolved. Don't hesitate to call Carmine because they are honest, knowledgeable and professional.

Our 5 year-old hot water heater stopped working on New Year's Eve (12/31/15). We called Aumenta Plumbing and they sent someone over within the hour to look at it. The technician sent over was really nice, and spent about an hour diagnosing it, and trying to call the manufacturer (to no avail as it was late on NYE). They charged $160 to diagnose the problem, and recommended a full replacement. I was told the diagnosis fee would be applied towards the cost of replacement. We decided to call around and get a few other quotes, but ultimately called Aumenta back to do the replacement. The owner quoted me a ballpark price of $1950 for the replacement. On 1/5 the same technician (and another helper) came back to replace the hot water heater. They did the replacement rather quickly, and got everything working again. He asked for a check for $1950, and I had forgotten about the $160 we already paid. I wrote the check and he left. I called a few days later and spoke to the owner and asked about the $160 fee that was supposed to be deducted from the replacement cost. He told me that it was already deducted, even though the invoice didn't state this, and his initial ballpark price for the replacement was $1950. I explained that there must have been some confusion, because at no point did he mention that the $1950 was already with the $160 off. Overall, the technician was great and knowledgable, but I feel slightly ripped off re. the diagnosis fee. I had a quote from the local utility company to do the full hot water replacement for ~$1300, but decided to spend the extra $650 to go with Aumenta as I felt the technician was knowledgeable. However, this ended up being $650 + $160 more, since the diagnosis fee was never taken off the final bill. Probably won't use them again, as the prices seemed steep, and the owner was unwilling to budge on the diagnosis fee.

I used Carmine Aumenta plumbing to install a hot water heater for me in my condo. I have had it for close to a year now, and it?s working fine. The final product was certainly successful. The plumbers that installed it also overcame some obstacles to drain my old, broken heater. I appreciate that. You should be aware, though, that they were a bit sloppy and unprofessional. They didn?t have all the tools necessary to complete the job. For example, they needed a torch to solder some pipes. They didn?t have anything to light the torch with. Fortunately, I had fireplace lighter they were able to use. I also would expect somebody to have a fire extinguisher if they are going to use a torch for plumbing. They did not have one. Even something as simple as a Sharpie they needed to borrow from me. They were also sloppy in a number of ways. Most importantly, as they were taking away my old heater, they spilled a bunch of black, silty water on the carpet in my front entryway and had nothing with which to clean it up. Fortunately for me, I took on the responsibility of getting a hot water heater installed in a common area of my building. A different company did that one. I learned that time that I need an electrical disconnect installed near the heater to satisfy electrical/plumbing codes. Had I not known that, Aumenta would not have installed one on this heater. It?s my understanding that it would not have passed inspection without it. The reason it?s taken so long for me to write a review is because it?s taken this long to get the final permit inspections done. Part of that is because I travel for work a lot and was not always home for an inspection. However, most of that is because they first had to bring in an electrician to check their electrical work. Then they finally were able to schedule inspections. This whole process took several months and only happened because I continued to follow up with them every step of the way. All in all, they did a fine job. It just took me a lot of careful watching, following up, and cleaning up behind them. If you use them, just keep an eye on them all the way through to the final inspections.

New Year's Eve, and a valve on my boiler started leaking, spreading water over the floor. I called Aumenta plumbing, and they showed up in two hours. The plumber replaced the valve quickly and professionally - he was polite and neat. This is why I always use Aumenta -- they are the best: they always show up incredibly quickly, explain what they're doing, and do the job with no fuss. I've used them for years, and I highly recommend them.

I called at 10am and had someone here by 1pm. That's amazing. They were super responsive and very professional. They had all the parts necessary in their truck and were able to change the drain plug in 30 min. I think the price was a little high, but you can't beat the responsiveness and professionalism.

My property ran into continues clogged up sewer line with everything backing up in the basement. I called a well known plumbing company, they cleared the line and did a video assessment. Still the problem persisted the following week, and the video didn't do much help as it was limited in terms where it could go. Other plumbing companies started to through large dollar figures and still not really helping me with the current situation. Despite having a few on going work projects Carmine and his son were able to squeeze in my appointment and I am very thankful for them. I was there and saw how difficult the job was but with persistence, and you can see their experience and with proper equipment they were able to clear the line. I checked out other plumbing companies, but they were either overpriced, pitched costly re-piping projects, and weren't effective. Service and repairs went well - staff was professional and left the work area clean when completed. The only issue I had was on pricing as I felt it was a bit excessive. If I did not need the work done immediately I would have shopped it around. When I asked for an itemized receipt I was told "we do not give itemized receipts, we only provide flat fees".

After realizing that the heat in our apartment wasn't working I contacted Carmine and he dispatched someone out to me that same day to diagnose the problem and give me an estimate. Ben, the technician we worked with was knowledgeable, responsive and made my husband and I feel comfortable with the work being done. They worked with our schedules and gave us a good price to replace our boiler and install a new one. (We got other quotes but their price and availability made it obvious this was the right choice.) I was so happy to have hired someone who takes this much pride in their work and I sleep easier knowing the job was done right.
