The two plumbers were very professional upon arrival and went straight to work. They did a great job explaining the problem and solutions. They really had to struggle to snake our drain because of how the pipes are arranged but did an outstanding job with the hassle. They did an amazing job cleaning up and put everything back in its place. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend their services.

I called early on a Monday morning and was pleased to have someone answer immediately. As promised, someone was at my home within the hour and the repair was made to my water heater immediately and efficiently. I would definitely recommend their professionalism and quick response.

I was told the plumber would be there at 11 am. I called at 11:15 when noone was there and was told someone would be there by the hour. I left at 12 pm because when I am told 11, I set my schedule as such in order to coordinate my day. At 12:45 I received a call saying the plumber rang my door bell and asked where I was. When I said that I didn't like my time being wasted the guy said I can go with someone else, didn't even apologize.

I had called Carmine a few months ago for an estimate on running a line - while we ended up doing the work ourselves, I was very impressed with Carmine and Carmine Jr. They were extremely professional, had a fair price and seemed very knowledgeable. So they were the first ones I thought of when I had an issue at my rental property in Jersey City. There was a block in the sewage line - it was backing up out of the drainage pipe towards the back of the yard. I left a message late Friday evening and Carmine called me back Sunday night. Carmine Jr and another plumber came over the next day and took care of the problem. They were so nice - they worked clean and made sure everything was neat and tidy when they left. They were extremely careful and explained everything as they went - Carmine Sr gave me an estimate over the phone Sunday night, Carmine Jr did an assessment when he got there, made sure I understood what was involved and was very clear about cost. I could not be happier. I would call them again in a heartbeat.

I have a rental apartment where the heat went out. Called and spoke to Carmine Sr. in the afternoon and he was there by 11am the next morning. He was very personable and it turned out that he grew up in the same neighborhood as the property. He checked the heating system and determined that air needed to be purged from the system. He waited for a little while to see that everything was back on track and followed up with me and the tenants a few hours later to make sure all was going well. He even tightened the faucet to help with water pressure for the tenant while he was waiting. I was unable to meet him there in person but he made me feel very confident with the job done and answered all of my questions. He advised me of a small hole caused by rust that he found but said it wasn't an urgent problem at the moment. I appreciate the honesty and will definitely use him again for my personal home as well as rental properties.

Fantastic. This was a complicated equation as I was trying to coordinate the plumber (needed to deal with the gas line) with the arrival of the washing machine delivery crew who were doing the heavy lifting and setup of the washer. Because the delivery people could only give me a 2-hour delivery window, I needed Carmine to be available on an "I'll call you when they're on the way" basis. Looked like a shaky plan at best. On the day of the delivery, the delivery people gave me a "20 minutes out" call. I called Carmine and he and Carmine, Jr. came right over, arriving about 5 minutes after the delivery crew. They did a great job of coordinating all the appliance in & outs so everything ended up in the right place in minimum time. Carmine wasn't content to just get everything in place, but insisted on cleaning up the floor where the appliances had been (messy, as you might imagine), before the appliances went back in. I'd used Aumenta Plumbing before so I knew I wanted them again for this job.

Plumber was polite and responsive and professional. Two employees completed the connection within two hours and cleaned up afterwards. They provided me with an estimate beforehand of 625.00 which I felt was high but they explained to me why that was the case with pedestal sinks being very difficult to install at times. There was an issue with connecting the sink to the wall behind it but they were able to secure it very well. I really needed the sink installed that day so I decided to have them do it. Was expecting to be charged between 300 and 400 though. I was surprised by the cost. They gave me 25.00 off because of Angies list.

Overall I'm happy with the service they provided. The cost would have been lower if another leak hadn't sprung up while they were fixing the old problem. The copper pipes in the house are fairly aged and I fully understand the collateral damage that can spring up. Carmine and his son worked for approximately 2 hours to finish the whole job.

The advice and installation of sump pump and back flow protector was done in a wonderful fashion

I called Carmine Aumenta up at 8:08 AM and told him that my shower head and bath faucet were broken. I did not really anticipate that they would come today - but they did. They managed my expectations well, telling me that they didn't know WHEN they would be here, only that they would be and that they would contact me 15 - 30 minutes before the plumber would arrive. Carmine spent about 5 minutes helping me explain my situation and giving me options on what I could do. (That's where i learned the term shower arm). He helped me pick a shower head over the phone - and was patient the whole time. When Carmine's son did arrive in Hoboken, he called me and told me it might take longer because it is hard to find parking. (So very true)! When Carmine arrived, he came up with all his tools as well as the new shower head. That impressed me - he was coming to work quickly! He installed the shower arm and head quickly and quietly. He explained why he needed to caulk it (because the pipe behind the shower was loose.) The then fixed the bath faucet - and calked it as well. He left the bathroom clean - and made absolutely no mess. I was so impressed at the quietness of the whole experience, too. I would definitely recommend Carmine Aumenta Plumbing - and would personally use them again.

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and workmanship both plumbers did. I couldn't ask for a better response time either. Will definitely use this contractor for additional work in the future!!!

I found them on Angie’s List. I have to see what work they do. They came today to do an assessment. They are going to do the work on Wednesday and that would be the first time I would be using them. It has been very pleasant so far. They are very good and professional. The guy was on time. He was very detailed and took the time to explain to me. So far, he has made me very comfortable. He hasn’t done the work yet, but the estimate has been good so far. He is also going to teach me as to how the units work. He seems very knowledgeable and has helped me out. They were there on time and they called me when they said they would. I am going to use them.

They were referred by a friend and I found them to be very reliable and they do go work.

Carmine responded to my request to take a look at my hot water heater on the same day. He and another worker, also Carmine (his son?) came to our condo and spent two hours trying to relight the pilot light in my hot water heater. Their extra effort saved me the cost of replacing my hot water heater. They were professional from the moment they entered my home and I will definitely call them first if I have another plumbing issue.

I called and told the receptionist/dispatcher what my problem was (a clogged utility sink), and they said they could send someone over the next morning. When the plumbers arrived at my house the next morning, they had all of the equipment they needed. One man went to work on the pipe while the other supervised. The man who was supervising chatted with me about what to do in the future if my drain is clogged. They were in and out in roughly 20 minutes. Oh, and I should also point out that they took the time to see if their work was good (if it was working!) before they left. I was very pleased.

We've had great experiences using Carmine for both routine work and emergencies. It's great to have a plumber we know we can rely on. He is very responsive, and I trust he will always give us a good price. The quality of his work has always been impressive.

They did a good job. They were okay. They are professional. They have two firms and when I told them I was a member with Angie’s List he gave me a discount. They did the job very well.

Got an estimate to get basement drain cleaned. Very professional look at our basement. took his time looking around and examing issues and possible future problems. took a week and half for estimate over the phone. Price was way out of our price range and much higher (more than double) than other estimates.

We always get prompt, excellent, professional service. Also, Carmine told us we already had a backflow preventer on our sprinkler system and so did not need him to put one in. Carmine has done four plumbing jobs for us over the past year: replaced a toilet, replaced a faucet, fixed a faucet, and correctly installed our clothes dryer fixing incorrect installation from previous owner, Now dryer works great, as do faucet and toilet. He knew all the pros and cons of toilet models and helped us get the best one we ever had. They also cleaned up great and did extras like caulk around kitchen sink and tighten toilet seat in another bathroom.

They charged me around $300-$400. They began working on the faucet and then I left for the work. Then they did the work, and when I came back I was relatively happy; since before I couldn't use the shower because the water was really cold. It was better to have warm water than having only cold water. The summer came, then I realized I needed the water to be a little bit cooler during the summer months. I need to call them again to make it work properly. Despite the incomplete job, they were nice to work with, and it felt like I was working with a family business. They cleaned up nicely and they caulked everything pretty well when they were done.

I hired a plumber to install a new boiler in January. By February I had serious problems. One of the Zone valves started to leak and gas valve now doesn't work. After not being able to get the original plumber to come do the work I hired Carmine. I had them replace the valve. They also gave me advice at least two times after that to help me troubleshoot other problems with the boiler. Very good people and very honest.

We were having a variety of heating problems that needed to be attended to before to deep into the heating season. One of our radiatators did not seem to heat up very much and the furnace had a very short and very frequent on / off cycle. Carmine and his son showed up within 1/2 hour of our appointment and took a look at the mixed radiator / baseboard hot water system and noted three major problems. When the furnace was installed 7 years ago to replace the original monster furnace the vent pipe was improperly installed such that sot built up inside the pipe and on the furnace grid cutting down the efficiency and causing damage to the furnace. The aquastat needed to be adjusted and the plumbing to the furnace from the old connections were way undersized. To take care of everything was way too expensive so they performed the cheapest and most effective fixes that worked out quite well. They were done in about 1/2 hour. I would recommend Carmine to anyone needing an experienced, friendly professional.
