My original contact with Mr.Aumenta to make the appointment was extremely professional and informative. He took the time to ask a lot of questions regarding the problem I was having, explained in detail what he felt needed to be done as well as gave me an overview of his company's work history. The two plumbers who arrived to perform the job were prompt, professional, efficient and courteous. They completed the work in record time and took the time to thoroughly clean the entire area that they worked in. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I would not only use their services again but highly recommend them to everyone.

Carmine P. Aumenta Plumbing & Heating are definitely plumbers that we will be using again. The estimate and work performed were reasonable and professional. We were excited that this plumber even knew what a single pipe steam system was, because many plumbers that I called didn't understand the system and refused to come out and even look at it. The actual repair work was great and we noticed our heating system working more efficiently right away. Not to mention the last thing that the Plumber did was ensure that the entire area he was working in was left clean, in fact cleaner than he found it.

I called Carmine Aumenta after PSE&G came to look at my leaking heating system and told me that what was wrong with it wasn't covered under the worry-free agreement. When I called Carmine he said they would call the next day before coming over. He called the next day as promised shortly after noon and said someone would be there within minutes. It was Ben Aumenta who came, examined the unit and very carefully explained what was needed and showed me how the previous plumber who worked on the system (who had totally ripped me off in retrospect) had done extremely sloppy work. Ben was extremely curteous and thorough, spent until nearly 6:00 pm working on it, and cleaned up everything when he was done. I am 100% satisfied with Aumenta Plumbing and Heating and will definitely call them again the next time I need a plumber.

I thought he pricing was fair and they came out when they said they would. We would consider to use them in the future. I trust them to make improvement recommendations.

I contacted the owner to explain that my water heater was not working. He asked for a description of what wasn't working and he coached me through the description. We agreed upon a service date and time. His son arrived as promised and was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fixed it.

There was an ever growing water spot on my bedroom closet ceiling. I was given an arrival time of late morning and he did not arrive until 3 pm. I understand it is difficult to estimate and it was a holiday week with same day service, which I appreciate, but it was difficult To schedule around and later then I was told. He arrived and was very pleasant and did the best he could under the circumstances. As it is a Condo building he was limited in what work he could perform but he helped identify where the problem was coming from. I felt the price was a bit high for service performed but all in all it was positive, they seem like an honest company and I would recommend them in the future.

As a result of Hurricane Sandy, we lost power and heat in our 3-family home located in Jersey City. When power was restored, there was an issue w/ heat reaching the 3rd floor unit. We have an older oil heat boiler and radiator heating in our home. We left a message for Mr. Aumenta on Sunday. Within the hour, he returned our call and agreed to come over the following morning. Mr. Aumenta informed us that we needed to drain the heating system, and replace several parts (new expansion tank, replacement piping and fittings, replacement vent and relief and isolation valves), refill the heating system and purge air from each of the radiators. He agreed to return later in the week to do the repairs after we coordinated with the tenants in each of the units. He was extremely flexible in accommodating our needs and the schedules of each of the tenants. In the interim, he was able to get some heat to the 3rd floor unit. Mr. Aaumenta returned and finished the repairs as agreed at the price he quoted. After the work was completed he even offered several suggestions re: our heating system that should save us $$$ going forward. Mr. Aumenta will be our first call in the future for any plumbing and heating repair work. I intend to have Mr. Aumenta return in the Spring to give me an estimate on a brand new gas heating system.

They did come on short notice and fixed the problem, but the price was higher than I expected -- considering they were only here for 20 minutes.

One of our boilers broke. And despite gas rationing following Hurricane Sandy making it difficult for him to get gas for his trucks and a long list of clients clamoring for his attention, he was extremely responsive and prepared to travel over 30 minutes to take a look at our boiler and give us an estimate/opinion about whether it could be saved. But I felt bad about putting him out and had him hold off coming until gas was more available. And we wound up making other arrangements in the interim. My bad... I intend to write him a check anyway for his sharing his substantial knowledge and being willing to put himself out like he did. I was very impressed. It's obvious why he's in such demand and has so many great reviews on this site. We won't hesitate to call him again anytime we have a heating/plumbing issue.

The guy called back after I left a message. He sounded very rude and aggressive. Knowing the place needs work is different from where I live, he asked for my current address, and work address. I asked why he needed those now. He did not answer, and instead he just said he need those info. I was scared for a bit, and said I did not want to reveal those info for now. He did not say anything else, and just hung up the phone...I thought he would at least explain to me a bit more about his policy or purpose for getting those addresses, but I guess he was just too cool to bother...

Carmine responded within a few minutes of my initial phone call requesting an estimate for a replacement water heater. He came in person with a half-hour, gave an estimate and had a crew on the job within two hours. Everyone was very professional and did the replacement quickly and neatly. i will definitely be using them again.

I had spoken to Carmine P. Aumenta Sr. over the phone. He was very pleasant and professional. They arrived on time and didn't leave until everything was in top condition. The rates were fair and I really can't say enough about how pleased I am with the overall job.

Carmine Jr came to fix my toilet that had a broken fluid master and a leaky flap. He was prompt, professional and incredibly fast.

Plumbers arrived and immediately started work on the toilets. One plumber disconnected upstairs toilet while other plumber unpacked new toilet. One plumber worked on installing new toilet upsairs while the other plumber reinstalled used toilet in the basement. Both plumbers worked to connect permanent copper to plastic pipe in the basement. Water was turned off, system drained, copper pipe was soldered and connected to new plastic to copper connector. Plumber then assembled and connected new main floor bathroom faucet including new drain. Plumbers carried out all old/discarded materials and cleaned up after all work was finished. Total time was approximately 3 - 3.5 hours.

Outstanding! The final effect was, as our plumber said, life changing! Our dishwasher no longer squeals. Our washer fills up in five minutes instead of twenty. Our showers are much faster because the increase in pressure lets us rinse much better. The entire process took about three hours. They cleaned up everything. It looks better than it did before they came. They told us the proper methods for turning off the water if there was ever an emergency. We will definitely use them again!
