Carmine P. Aumenta Plumbing & Heating NJ

Went great. Carmine came out and fixed the pipe in 30 minutes. Also, suggested other cost-effective fixes for other plumbing issues. We intend to use him again, and will update this review based on our future experiences.

Thought I had a leak in the wall between two floors from my radiator pipe. They made an appointment promptly. They came on time and investigated the problem. After careful consideration and examination up and downstairs, they told me that the leak was probably from the drainpipes outside and that they did not want to disturb my ceiling which is plaster. They could easily have opened it up to look and then tell me there was nothing but they chose to tell me the truth and did not charge a penny for the time they were there (45 minutes). They were also courteous and listened to all my questions and suggestions. I would definitely call them again.

Arrived in a very timely manner during the early part of a three hour window. Assessed the situation and determined a plastic water line was sufficient (vs copper). Job was completed timely, within 45 minutes which included having to drill a hole through the kitchen cabinets to install the water line. Disappointment came afterwards. Water worked fine but ice maker was still not working after three days. Contacted manufacturer who said to check water line connection before requesting a service repair. Carmine insisted their work was top notch and that is was the unit especially since the water was running. Maytag repair came out to assess the problem. The water line connection to the ice maker was loose. There was a pool of water behind the refrigerator where the water was supposed to be running into the ice maker. It took less than 10 minutes for him to tighten the connection. It would have been nice from a customer service stand point (100% satisfaction) if Carmine would have come out to double check connection/their work. Also, during the installation I was told I should look to get a new and better quality garbage disposal. It was making a horrible sound and I agreed it needed to be replaced. I asked for a quote. I never received any follow up or call back. I'm happy with my new water line but I won't be using Carmine again since they don't seem to value or want repeat customers.

They did an overall very good job.

This is a fine company and I highly recommend them.

Called the office at 9am; had a follow-up call from the assigned plumber approximately an hour later; he arrived 30 mins after that and was done in a little over an hour. Great professionalism, punctuality and overall service.

My plumbing problem seems to re-occur. So the boys were here in april and now november. They couldn't be nicer. Very efficient and professional. Again as a Senior on SS the cost seems high but service is wonderful

Once we knew what the problem was my husband continued with the work.

I left a message with Carmine over the weekend. On the morning of Monday November 11 I received a phone call from Carmine asking what services I needed. I explained to him that my tenants sink is clogged and hasn't drained for approximately one month. Carmine said he will try to get someone out that day, but it might be hard since a lot of people are home on Veterans Day and called for plumbing services. Approximately three hours later I received a call from Ben stating he could be at my house in thirty minutes to take care of the issue. Ben was on time and was very professional. He took approximately two hours to break up the grease and oil build up that my tenants created in the drain. At the end he gave sound advice. I was pleased with the price and would definitely use their services should I need them in the future.

We are 1st time homeowners and this is our 1st time with a heating system in the basement. Embarrassed that I couldn't get the pilot light on and get the heat working, I called Carmine and asked if someone could help. His son Ben, who we have worked with before on our water heater came over that afternoon to take a look. Ben walked me around the system and showed me the gas line and how to get the pilot light ignited. As we finished up, I asked how much for coming over and Ben said "nothing".

I initially reached out to Aumenta Plumbing on 10/10, the Thursday before Columbus day long weekend, to install one gas meter and one hot water tank in my property in Jersey City. They said they had a busy schedule on Friday, but will work me in. Then I didn't hear anything from them over the next few days. So I called to check in the following Wednesday. My order was still in their system, however, nobody did anything about it. I had then transferred this duty to my manager who will be letting them into my property. However, it is been another week and half, and my request is just getting kicked around from the father to the son to somebody else. If your business is doing so awesome, that you don't have time to work on my request. At least, inform me about it, so I can call up other plumbers to get the job done. My impression of Aumenta Plumbing is disorganized and lacking common courtesy. If you have an urgent job, don't come here. Big "F" from me.

Our 7 year old tankless water heater stopped working. I called several local plumbers and was told that tankless water heater was beyond repair and that I needed a new one -- estimates were 5K to 6K. One plumber told me that it needed a new control panel. After a week of no hot water, we were pretty desperate. I called Carmine Aumenta for an estimate. They came promptly and worked on the heater while I was at work. Carmine Jr. himself did the work and called me to say he had fixed it. It only took him about an hour! Since I only expected him to give me an estimate, I had not left money for his services. He said I could pay him the next day. He only charged me $225 -- not the ridiculous estimates I had received previously, I highly recommend his services. I will be calling them again for any future plumbing needs.

First of all thank to all diligent review providers. I found this business through Angie's list. I reached out to a couple of service providers and I called them on an evening on Friday (around 5ish), wasn't expecting anybody would respond. Mr. Carmine picked up the phone and spoke very professionally. Gave me the slot for coming Monday. On Monday, Mr. Carmine called me to inform that his guys will be at my place. Two extremely professional guys showed up. The problem I had was, water was leaking from the 2nd floor bathroom and dripping through the 1st floor roof. I was really worried and wasn't sure how bad it was. Wanted someone to have a look and provide me an estimate. They tried to isolate the root cause but couldn't determine externally and asked me if they can make a hole on my ceiling to determine the root cause and assess the damage. They made a hole and it didn't take them more than 2 minutes to tell me that its because of a loose pipe in the toilet. They removed the toilet, fixed the pipe and re-installed the toilet. One of the guys, actually guessed it even before making the hole but wanted to confirm and ensure there are no other reasons for the leakage. Even though the work was a little involved they made it look pretty seamless. Finished all work in less than two hours. I am not sure about the average price of plumbing work in Jersey City, but I personally felt they are a little pricey. But I will give them extra points on their professionalism and quality of work. I would definitely re-hire them in future if I need to.

They were very professional and did not charge me to look at the problems I was having. I will definitely call them when I am ready to fix the problems / make changes!

The repairs were done methodically, and neatly. Areas where cleaned up. So far I am quite satisfied with the work done.

I called and spoke to Carmine Aumenta Jr about 2 weeks ago 8/12 and told him I needed a toilet fixed and bathroom tiles installed. he said no problem. I'll call you in 2 days to set up an appointment to come see the work. After about one week I didn't receive a call So I called back. This time spoke to his fatherCarmine Aumenta. I told him I called his son but I never heard from him . Then he asked me how I spelled my last name I told D-I-M-A-T_T-E-O The he said P-I- M-A. I said no D-i M-A. Is it C-I-M? NO!! then I said please don't worry how u spell my name.First of all he was worried about the spellingof my last name. Second of all he was hard of hearing. And third of all he was very rude. He was more concerned of the way my name was spelled then the important work that had to be done! Then I said D as in David. I as in IT. then we got disconnected. I called back. I said "did we get disconnected? " He said "no I hung up on you. I don't want to do the work". Then I said "I'm going to write such a bad review about you its going to make your head spin" And here it is.!!! then he said "you can write anything you want". I said 'I will"

I live in Hoboken, New Jersey. One mile from mid-town Manhattan and home of the disreputable contractor. All kidding aside, this is ground zero for every con artist on the east coast. That being said, my hot water heat went. I went to Angie's List and found Carmine Aumenta Plumbing. I thought I was having an out of body experience. They returned my call promptly. Provided an estimate. Handled the permit process. Showed up on time. Were frendly and professional. Most importantly, they got the work done! Experience had taught me to wait for the other shoe to drop. There was no other shoe! I could not be more happy. Stunned, but happy.

Outstanding and affordable service on extremely short notice. We contacted Mr. Aumenta on June 24th and the work was completed on June 25th. His crew was professional, on time and left the area spotless after their work was done. Their business card is on my fridge and they will be the first ones I call if I have any future plumbing and heating work. I would gladly recommend their services.

I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional contractor. I can't even have a normal conversation with the guy on the phone. The moment I asked about if they can quote me a price on the service. The guy sounds to be offended by this question. When I asked "Do you work on Saturdays?" The guy responded "We don't even work on weekdays and we just want to have you send us money". Nice! It's a shame this kind of company can be rated "A". They only deserve a "Z".

I called them twice and both times I was told I would get a return call shortly. The gentlemen on the phone was professional the first call, but was rather curt the second call. Maybe the job I explained to him was not appealing enough. I hope they do not forget about the importance of responsiveness and customer service. Just because you may be busy now doesn't mean you can let these things side. If you do you will not be busy for much longer. I was disappointed after seeing all the positive reviews on here.

AMAZING- PLEASE READ ENTIRE EXPERIENCE: My wife and i just bought our 1st home a 1920's colonial just over a month ago in Jersey city Journal Square area. During our hardwood floor installation we had no access to the basement and we were unaware that our water heater had popped and all the water had been flooding for 3 days, destroying everything we had stored on the floor. After draining and cleaning for hours and upset about the loss, I made an online purchase on sears for a new water heater and had the sears recommended installer come the next day to install. This is where the fun began. The sears installer( NOT Carmine P. Aumenta Plumbing) arrived the following day. The experience already being overwhelming was added on by rude installers from a different company. They were aggressive with me with pricing and pressure by putting extreme quotes with cursing and decisions that needed to be made now. They were upset when I challenged the quote and extent of work and they left the heater and demanded a check for delivery cost( which sears said was illegal). I took a breather and walked to get coffee and this where the positive part of my day began: This is where Carmine P. Aumenta Plumbing and Heating comes in: On my way back, talking on the phone about my experience and not knowing what to do, I saw a gentleman in a plumbing uniform from Carmine P. Aumenta walking to his truck. He probably thought I was crazy, because I ran after him and asked if he could swing by my house real quick, see my situation and give me a quote. This turns out to be Carmine Jr. and he agrees immediately and is at my home. Not only was he polite, but calm and reassuring. What a contrast to the rudeness of the previous installer. Carmine said he would have a quote within the hour and he did. Not only was I ok with the quote and a better water heater, they were at my home within 2 hours of the same day to begin the install. Carmines brother Ben arrived with another worker( forgot his name) and they began the install. Not only did they install the heater, they had to put new pipes, break into the chimney and installed new ventilation, cemented that back up, new shut off valves and were done within 3 hours. Ben was calming and explained every time I asked a question. He also showed me where to drain my basement if a flood were to happen again. He and his coworker were very professional and beyond nice. My wife and I are very appreciative to the Aumenta Plumbing family. We are new to the Neighborhood and have plenty of other work that will always come your way. I am a Real Estate broker for a large firm and your family be the referral to my customers. Thanks for the great experience and you have customers for life.

Carmine Aumenta Plumbing was very busy, and scheduling was difficult, but it was well worth the couple days wait. When Ben arrived at the site, he was extremely courteous and professional. The quality of the work was outstanding, and he consulted us on every decision to be made. We have had poor luck with the last 4 plumbers we've hired, and Carmine Aumenta Plumbing was the best plumber we've hired by far, and they will be our go-to plumber for years to come. Highly recommended!
