+ -1 moreThis company was always talking about being on Angie's List. Unfortunately the did an awful job. The estimate they gave kept changing as the job continued. The repair was not completed well & we had to hire someone else to come out & redo the job.

+ -1 moreThe roofers, finished the roof in a few hours, then two days later the snow and rain came. Not a drop of water came inside. We are pleased, happy and would gladly recommend the company!!!
Description of Work: Leaking from roof, roofer had repaired the roof before. They soon predicted snow and rain, although I was not present, but my son heard "tapping", and went outside to see the roofers at work.

+ -1 moreI guess they were punctual and professional. The person that I spoke to on the phone was very nice and I think is a Ms. Miller. She seemed very professional but it’s the guys that she sent out didn’t seem professional. The contractors were kind of rough around the edges. They just seemed kind of rough and should have been more professional. Their conversation was more like the workers than a representative.

Even though the work involved putting a silver coat of material on my flat roof, I would have expected splotches of the silver material to have dripped or been splattered on my brick, or been tossed off the building onto the ground. Nope. They were neat as a pin. They did not stomp around on the roof, making me fear they would crash through the ceiling. They were just great! And when there was ANOTHER leak during a storm a few days later, I waited until the rain stopped and called and they were back--LITERALLY WITHIN MINUTES OF MY CALL TO CHECK IT OUT!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!! They did figure out it was not my roof at this time, but a related problem with the bricks on a side wall near my chimney. They offered to create a solution for me, but instead I am having a Mason do a more proper brickwork re-build of the whole wall and chimney. But I totally appreciated their assessment and approach to the problem. Once again...they could not have been more responsive, nicer, polite, and helpful. Bottom line: wish these people were family.
Description of Work: I called Miller Roofers out of, well, desperation because the previous roofer I had been using stopped responding to my calls. The "repair" they had done had failed, and they were not responding to my very polite but insistent calls, asking for them to come and honor their warranty. OK..BIG Nor'easter, trees on roofs everywhere--I was trying to be considerate. But enough was enough! I called Miller, and was delighted at how quickly Mrs Miller called me back! She got the whole story from me, was so reassuring, and promised her crew would be there within a very specific time. And they WERE! The nicest fellas, too...they climbed up and took photos of the so-called "repairs" that had been done by the prior company. (Yes..I will do a review of them when the whole mess is ironed out...) They were very clear in what needed to be done, and educated me fully on the issues at hand. Both they and I were in constant communication with Mrs Miller by phone--she was always ready to clarify everything. I gave the work team a deposit and they started work immediately, but completed it the next day, due to windy conditions that made it dangerous to be up there that day. I got a printed Estimate and Agreement from them that clearly outlined the full scope of the work, including warranty information.

+ -1 moreThey showed exactly when they said they were going to. They did exactly what they said they were going to. When they were up there they fixed my neighbor's roof that was contributing for our problem. I don?t know how much other companies charge for the patch job.
Description of Work: A Miller Roofing repaired our roof. They flushed the chimneys and patched the fascia due to some damage that had occurred.

+ -1 moreVery well. I called for an estimate and they arrived exactly when they said they would. They then described the job to the office and the woman I spoke to gave an estimate. They then went back to the office to get me a written copy of the estimate and when I agreed, they started the job immediately. They finished it later that afternoon. There has been over a week of heavy rain since they did the job and there have been no leaks. (Previously there were three separate leaks.) I was very impressed by the professionalism of everyone involved -- both the office and the roofers themselves. They cleaned up not only their own mess but debris that had previously been on the roof. Also I had asked if one of the pipes needed to be replaced. They said that no it could be repaired, which they did. In all, a very good experience. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They put in new flashing for a skylight, patched the roof, repaired two pipes leading from storm drains.

+ -1 moreThey did the work in the time frame that they said they would do it and it was one of the most incredibly clean and dust free installations. They took a picture after the finished the work so that we could see what they did. We were quite pleased with them.
Description of Work: They replaced a skylight that was over 100 years old with pretty much a replica of the same thing. They installed a galvanized skylight with a new wire glass and flashed the whole thing to the base of the skylight.

+ -1 moreMiller Roofing returned our call quickly. They were a little backed up due to a recent Nor Easter that caused a lot of damage in our area. They said they would get to us within a week and the lived up to their word. So far it has rained twice and we have had no leaks. They did a great job with no mess. I would definitely hire them again.
