The Heating Pros

They were contracted to install my brand new AC unit through Sears/Transform. Installed the unit in 2020 of June, after a week it wasn't working properly, they took weeks to come to look at it. They did more work, it started working. Next summer, again not working properly, the coils were freezing and cold air was not coming through vents. They came again said they found the problem and said they fixed it. Next summer, same problem, the third summer same problem. I called them to come over for a service request. Left multiple messages with their answering service (they don't ever pick up the phone no. matter what time you call, they have a answering service that just takes your information and message). After a week I finally got a call back, the guy said I have to call Sears, I told him to come over and do a service request since THEY installed it. This was a Saturday, he said he will have someone come that following Monday and will also contact Sears. No one came that day, no call nothing. I called again a couple days later, of course answering service again, left them a message. No call back. Called again the following week and then a I get a random text from a number you can't call back saying I have to call sears and provided the number. Don't even use this company, they install things and then don't take any responsibility if the unit is not working. They ignore calls and messages and lie about coming for a service.

They showed up on time, workers were friendly, dressed neatly, acted professionally, as the day went on, more showed up; they finished the job in 1 day, cleaned everything up. Supervisor explained the new thermostat before they left. So far we've had no problems. I would call them directly myself in the future. We were very satisfied with their work.

The Heating Pros were hired by Sears to fix our AC installation from another contractor. They NEVER called me to schedule appointments. They would just show up at our house. Luckily we were home during one of their surprise visits. Their technician wrote a list of 7 items that needed to be fixed from the previous installation. Fast forward to over 3 months later, I find myself on the phone with Bill, the owner of Heating Pros, asking him details on the repairs and the permit that they were supposed to have applied for. Not only did he apply for the permit 2 months after he was supposed to, but he applied for it in the wrong municipal. In addition, the list of items that HIS technician wrote down that needed to be repaired, he's not going to repair. He was only going to fulfill ONE of the items on the list. As I was on the phone speaking to him about this, he started to get irritated as I questioned him on the 7 items that his technician wrote and also why the permit was submitted so late and wrong. HE HUNG UP ON ME. Heating PROS? Don't think so. "Pros" don't treat customers that way. Not scheduling appointments and just showing up at people's houses and then hanging up on them? There are so many other contractors out there. Don't bother with this one.
