Description of Work: Called to set up appointment for electrical work in my mom's home. Was told I'd receive a call back in a little while to set up a time for tomorrow or next day. Waited 7 hours and was never called back. Will use another company.

+ 0 moreJason is a very knowledgeable and efficient electrician. He quickly discovered the issue with the outlets, reconnected and tested they were in working order. He then carefully marked out the new location for the vanity light. Removed the light, cut the new hole, rewired everything and reconnected it all. He even adjusted the light fixture itself which was loose. If attention to detail and efficiency is what you're looking for, Jason is the guy to call. I would definitely recommend him to others and use him again for future electrical jobs.
Description of Work: Fixed the mistakes of our previous electrician. Reconnected 3 outlets that stopped working and moved a vanity light.

+ -1 moreI think the guy was okay. He came here and took a look at the house and gave a quote. It was difficult to schedule with him initially, but then after that, he came and he was fine. I think he wasn't experienced sufficiently in my opinion. I think he has done a lot of work with the air cooled generators but not on the liquid cooled. The maintenance cost per year was like 3 times as much as the next guy so I realized that possibly the reason is because he himself is not doing it, he is subcontracting somebody else and he underestimated the work because the liquid cooled one is quite a different type. But, in terms of being able to come on time as he said he would after the initial difficulty of making an appointment. He came on time. He gave a good writeup. He tried to explain it. The written estimate that he gave back a little bit later was way off from the verbal estimate.
Description of Work: We got a quote from JAG Electrical Contracting for a generator.

+ -1 moreI could not be more pleased! Jason is everything you could ask for in a contractor - and then some! He KNOWS what he is doing and does it for a fair price. He takes great care in how he approaches the job and takes pride in its outcome. He did not like the mounting bracket we had purchased as he felt it wasn't secure enough to hold the tv properly. He was glad to come back another day to do the job after we purchased another bracket. I waited a long time to get a new tv (as the old one just wouldn't die!) and was very concerned about the quality of the contractor I'd hire for the job. I am beyond picky and can tend to be a bit critical but I have to say I have ZERO complaints here. I am a happy and satisfied customer. I found Jason on Angie's List -- glad I did! Hire Jason...you will not be sorry.
Description of Work: He added an electric receptacle and mounted a flat screen on the wall.

Jason came quickly and installed the chandelier and two other light fixtures. He was pleasant and seemed to know what he was doing, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I was very pleased with his service and pricing.

I know I won't use another electrician for any other electrical work that may need to be done in my home. I would recommend Jason to anyone who is looking to have electrical work done in or around their home. He was very flexible, prompt, professional and courteous. Jason A. Gumbaz is now the only electrician I will use!
Description of Work: We wanted to get lights installed under our kitchen cabinets, but we didn't want to see any wires and we wanted it hooked to an existing light switch. So we contacted four different local electricians. Some of the estimates came back as high as $3000! Jason A. Gumbaz came highly recommended from both of my sons, so we contacted him for another estimate. Jason A. Gumbaz's estimate was almost one fourth of the others that we received! When we set up the estimate, Jason was very flexible. He worked around my schedule, even if it meant that he would have to come over in the evening or on the weekend. When he arrived for the estimate, he was very prompt and professional. We had him do the work, and couldn't be happier with the entire process! He arrived to do the work when it was convenient for me. He was quick, efficient and professional. You would never have even known he was here, except for the new lights under our cabinets! I would recommend Jason A. Gumbaz to all of my friends and family who are looking to have electrical work done. He is licensed in New Jersey, #16279, and is fully insured. In fact, I would only use Jason A. Gumbaz for any future electrical work that I may need done in or around my home!
