Dave made our experience putting an addition on our home as seamless as possible and was extremely accommodating with making our day to day lives more comfortable during the building. Dave was extremely reliable and was always there when he said he would be. Dave is a true craftsman and takes pride in his work which is somewhat hard to find these days. He kept us informed every step of the way. We now have a beautiful addition thanks to Dave and his crew. If you are looking for a builder, Dave is your man!

The quality of the work was top notch but more importantly the owner, Dave Newhardt, and his team were compeltely trustworthy and consistently exceded our expectations. They also stand by their work to a degree I do not believe you would find anywhere else. Years after they worked on our house our roof began to leak (unrelated to their work) and they came to the house for no charge to investigate the problem and worked with our roofer to resolve it. We have recommended Applehardt to all of our family and friends - many of whom have used them and been thrilled with the results.
Description of Work: We used them to do a masterbedroom addition as well as other renovation work including siding and windows.

 + 2 moreApplehardt is awesome! Our house is the nicest on the block and Dave continues to stay in contact with us to make sure everything is still in perfect order. I highly recommend Applehardt. You will be sorry if you don't use this builder. You can't find a better builder or nicer people to do work in your home. Here's the most recent example of his generosity. My oldest brother who has cerebral palsy lives in a group home. During the most recent storm, the manager of the group home called to say their power and gone out and the residents needed to be evacuated, unless they could find a generator. Not knowing where to get help, I called Dave Newhardt and within 1 hour he had a crew and a generator on its way to my brothers group home. They not only restored power but bought all the residents pizza to celebrate.
Description of Work: Do hire Applehardt. Dave Newhardt and his crew completely rebuilt and renovated our home. We renovated our home to make it handicapped accessible for my mother who has Parkinsons disease. Half of our home was demolished and the parts that were not demolished were completely renovated. A beautiful new sunroom, family room, master bedroom and bath, two car garage and loft were added to our home. Dave took our home from average to spectacular. It's impossible for me to list all of the extras Dave provided for free because he felt we needed them but the list includes a new storage basement, a handicap accessable bathroom with a roll in shower and built in seat for my mother, the beautiful loft over the garage, the handicap ramp that you would never realize was there by looking at the front of the house and too many more extras to list. Our towns building inspector even told us what a pleasure it was working with Applehardt since their work was superior and he wished all builders were like Applehardt.

 + 2 moreThey have done quite extensive renovation work for us. I have used them two to three times over the past four years. Each time he has done a job he has left me amazed compared to past experiences with some other folks. In the past he has put in new windows and taken out my old oil tank and took care of all the permitting, which is absolutely a nightmare here in New Jersey. He went the extra step in finding the best priced materials and then putting them in. When you talk about people one of the things you look for is people that you feel good about and trust; he fits both of those categories. He is very affable, friendly, patient and I will use him again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Applehardt Building Enterprises to, some electrical work to upgrade electric service.
