This past Christmas, I wanted to give my 70 yr old father a break from years of shoveling. Over a month, I looked online and asked around for a company that would be able to remove the snow from my parents short driveway and sidewalk. I was able to find Tommy through Angie's List just a few days before Christmas. Initially, he was responsive and appeared professional. The main reason I chose him was because he was in their town, which I hoped would get them near the top of the snow clearing list. I also appreciated the various payment options which included simple apps such as Venmo/Cash/Paypal. As everyone knows, we had a very strange winter -- one day it was hot one day it was freezing. The weather was very unpredictable, but we were all waiting for the snow... Unfortunately, when we finally had snow on the ground, Tommy Barrone was a no show. On the biggest winter storm of the season, Tommy was not able to clear the snow. He did reach out in the middle night, and stated that his machines were down, but was never able to come to the house. After 2 days of empty promises, my parents had to shovel hard snow and ice from their driveway and sidewalk. Even after asking Tommy to go to the house to assist them in any way that he could, he never responded. At some point during the winter, Tommy sold his home and did not mention it or at least let me know that this may effect his response times to their home to clear the snow. I will not use Tommy again, nor will I ever refer any of his services. It is disturbing that there is no one around to provide RELIABLE services for our senior citizens.
