You will work directly with an owner from the initial estimate process to the completion of your job! We offer complete home services with over 40 years of remodeling experience. We have completed thousands of projects with one simple goal: quality workmanship and great prices. We have an experienced team who specialize in premium product lines for roofing replacement, Vinyl siding and insulation, replacement windows, masonry walkways and patios, stone and brick face, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and more. American Home Remodeling is licensed and fully insured in New Jersey and parts of New York to operate as a home remodeling company. Our licenses include The New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, and a registration with The New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut Division of Consumer Affairs. We respectfully ask when scheduling an estimate that all homeowners please be present. Our reasoning is due to our estimates being concise, descriptive, and hopefully educational in the home remodeling field. Description of Work: Replaced roof & gutters. Gutters look great, roof is a little crooked in one spot but I was told that will even out in warmer weather. My main problem was with cleanup. I thought that using magnets would get rid of all nails left behind but it didn't seem like they were used at all. In fact, in the 4-5 weeks after work was done I picked up over 200 nails & many many other pieces of debris that were left behind.

Description of Work: I purchased a "deal" for a $900 deposit on a new roof. They charge 12% extra for waste on any roof and it is not stated in the details of their advertisement in any way, shape, or form. He didn't even bring any samples of shingles with him, it was just a book of shingles that looked like they weren't the shingles that they were advertising. They were flat shingles, and the advertisement said architectural shingles. I felt completely let down.

We apologize you feel your experience did not go as expected. The shingle sample we left is the 50 Year Limited Lifetime Architectural shingle. Leaving a sample book with all homeowners is customary throughout the entire industry. We do have to tell you that you are mistaken about the shingle. Any research will prove to you that the shingle left at your home is the shingle that was advertised. When we were at the house you were requesting to see actual large loose shingles. No roofer drives around with loose pieces of shingles for estimates. The sample book is where the color is chosen from. Sometimes upon request, once under contract, if a homeowner is having trouble choosing a color only then would we get an actual larger shingle piece from the supply house to show. In terms of the 12% waste factor, we need to price the job according to how many square feet of shingles it takes to put a roof on your house. The 12% waste factor is standard in roofing and is even recognized by insurance companies. We feel this review is unfair and misleading. We came out to your home for a free estimate and took time to thoroughly go over the project with you. We even reached out to you respectfully after this review was posted and we were rudely yelled at and hung up on. We try to treat everyone with respect and take a lot of pride in the business we do.
