This was our second time using American Home Remodeling. We had previously used them last year to redo our garage. Despite the fact that they were the highest bid we received on our roof (though not incredibly different), we went with them b/c we found them to be incredibly responsive, taking the time to answer all of our questions, and with a good attention to detail. We developed a leak in our roof a couple of weeks before Sandy hit, and after getting multiple quotes decided to go with this company right as the forecasts were starting to come in about the storm. American Home Remodeling hired extra workers to make sure that our roof got done ahead of the storm - something we are incredibly appreciative of.

My particular job was a little too small for them. They are a bigger company that does so much bigger projects. That was the way they explained it to me but the gentleman was very,very nice about it. He gave me an estimate that I should expect from every other company but he himself and the company will not be able to do it.

We tried Angie's list for the first time on this job and it was disappointing. They use subcontractors of varying quality who come and go according to their availability. They have two crews for indoor renovation and painting, and we found out that we had the B crew only after they screwed up the job and the A crew had to be brought in to finish it (Andre is the guy you want, and if we had him from the start this probably would have been an A review). The price was ok, and Chris is a nice guy who really does want to please, but the quality and timing of the work were problematic.

As we are both located in NJ where Hurricane Sandy hit, Mr. Fiore explained he might have delays getting someone out to estimate my job due to gas shortage issues created by the storm. However, I am happy to report that American Home had a rep visit my home within 48 hours to assess my work needs. And though the rep explained that American would only be able to help with my roof replacement and not my kitchen remodel as the company was booked with indoor remodeling jobs, I was happy nonetheless considering the circumstances. I'm waiting on my roofing quote now and look forward to the opportunity to work with American Home. Considering the scam artists out there now as a result of Hurricane Sandy, it is comforting to have the opportunity to have such a highly-rated firm perform my job. I'll update again soon!

They seemed to know what they were doing. They probably quoted 25% lower than somebody else, and they gave the quote for free. I decided to go with them to do the work.

Chris came to our house the beginning of July to give us an estimate to rebuild our front porch. He was very personable and professional. He gave us several options and in the end we chose the most expensive option to rebuild using composite material so we wouldn't have to do anything else to the porch for years (we hope). He was very good about communicating with me about each step in the process from permitting to choosing materials. In the end, his crew was at my house on a Friday to do the work. They finished on Saturday and since we were not around they even texted us a picture of the final product. It was very good quality work and very professional.

Working with American Home Remodeling was an excellent experience from start to finish, and we would strongly recommend them to anybody looking to re-side and replace windows in their home. From the very beginning of the quoting process right up through the last detail, Vic was in constant communication with us about our ideas, the progress, his recommendations, etc. He seems to have a great depth of knowledge in this field, and was able to easily convey information that might normally be over our heads (from unfamiliarity with the terminology and construction process). With our limited budget, Vic was able to work with us so that we got exactly what we wanted without blowing the budget. Renato and Renaldo headed up the siding and windows team. Everybody showed up on time and worked so hard and efficiently every day throughout the project. We were amazed at the speed in which they were able to go through all the steps involved in replacing all the windows and then completely residing our home...and all the other little details that go into this type of project. They expertly cleaned up the house and yard daily. In addition to everything that was laid out in our contract, they went the extra little step for us and put up our house numbers, mail box, flag pole, etc. We would strongly recommend American Home Remodeling for a major exterior project. Wonderful from start to finish.

They came promptly and they were professional. Their price was fairly comparable to the company I am using but they were going to provide less products and I was going to provide more. They don’t do all the purchasing.

Everything about our experience was excellent from the detailed work estimate to the final job cleanup. In particular it was very gratifying to have a vendor show sincere concern about our needs and timeline. Other vendors would not take the job as they viewed it as "too small". In particular we wanted an exterior access stairway with railings installed from a secondary entrance door to our garage. The old stairway was made of wood and basically disintegrated after 8 years of use. We wanted something that would last indefinitely, be maintenance free, and not be cost prohibitive ($3000 or less). Originally we were thinking of stone/masonry but the AHR representative took a look at our workspace and strongly suggested that we needed something that would allow free air movement due to the proximity of our central air conditioning unit to the stairs. With his help in selecting the proper materials and colors, we decised on a composite material for the stairs with vinyl railings. The stairway was designed with a 2 ft. wide platform that functioned as the first step out of the door, running parallel to the door threshold. The workers arrived on time, brought the materials with them, did all the cutting and construction, and cleaned up the site in ca. 7 hours. They even took away the old wood stairs. We will definitely use AHR again for our home improvements.

The head sales person was excellent. We had a few problems with one of the workers but they always made good on it. The main contact was very easy to work with and always stood behind his words.

Chris came to our home very professional did not try to run a scam, show us the window and gave us the price less than 1 hour. We placed the order and waited for the windows to be made about 5 weeks from placing the order. The only complaint I do have is that the workers that put the windows had dust everywhere, when I can home it took over 2 hours to clean the entire house from all the dust everywhere. The windows make a big difference in our home, our electric bill has been reduced quite significantly.

American Home Remodling was not the low bidder for our project. We selected them based on our own research, information provided in Angie's list and the presentation made by the salesman. The contractor did not disappoint and we are very happy we made this selection. The salesman was exceptional. Every detail was explained and all of our questions were answered satisfactorily. There were no hard sell tactics. A firm estimate and contract were presented in one day and the contractor represented the work could be completed in less than one week. The contractor assured that work could start within one week of contract signing and the work did start six days after signing. A dumpster was delivered to the site one day prior to the work crew showing up. On the first day, two old layers of siding and insulation were removed and the new siding initiated. The work proceeded without interruption with the same crewing and was essentially complete in three days. Throughout the work, the foreman consistently and patiently stopped his own work to answer any questions that we had. On the fourth day, the foreman walked the job with us and completed a few minor punch list items. All debris was removed and the contractor swept the lawn area with a magnet to pick up stray nails. This contractor said what he would do and then proceeded to do what he said.

We originally asked for a quote to redo our patio, and got a quote for a deck as we were hoping to put one in next year. We had contact a number of other contractors through Angie's list, but none of the other folks even came close to comparing with American Home Remodeling (AHR). The representative, Chris, came out to see our property the day after I called him, and gave me a price on the spot for both the patio and the deck. Everyone else we asked for quotes from said they would get back to us, and were late in doing so. I was also impressed with how well Chris was able to formulate a vision for the work that was to be done, unlike other who were looking to me for ideas. I was thrilled that the price we were quoted by AHR was also significantly lower then what we received from other folks, and we decided to go ahead with the deck instead of the patio as it was only slightly more expensive and we thought we would enjoy it more.After letting Chris now that we wanted to move ahead he was extremely proactive and ensured that the necessary permits were approved ASAP (this is challenging as our town is VERY particular about decks). Once the permits were approved, his crew were onsite the next business day and they were extremely efficient, building our beautiful 400 sq ft deck in 3 days. They were professional, hard working, and the property was left is perfect condition when they were done We will have aim to have them back to complete the patio next year, and will also consider them to do a larger renovation to our home in a couple of years.

A salesman from the company (Dan) came out to do an estimate - he was very professional and personable. He explained how the work would be performed and the details of the project/logisitics of installing our sliding door. Dan was in constant contact with us to provide updates on when the various contractors would be performing work. Because there were so many different contractors coming, there was a lot of coordination. Dan always kept us updated and tried to expedite their arrival. Further, he always checked in to ensure they showed up when they said they would. Each contractor who American Home remodeling used was very professional and friendly. When the work was completed, we were extremely satisfied. The work performed was of very high quality and we would absolutely use this company again for any remodeling work. There were no surprises in terms of price and the estimate and actual price paid were agreed upon in advance. We would give the quality of the work (sliding door installation, bluestone steps) an A+.

Everything was done correctly. No complaints.

My wife and i have trying for three years to build a deck. We started with the large home improvement chains, loews, home depot.None of these companies know what they're doing. They have poor subcontractors and were not able to help me with my permits.I found amercan home remodeling on angie's list and called them right away. The owner, Vic Fiore came and went over everydetail with me and my wife. He worked with a qualified architect and was able to steer us through the variance process of getting our permit approved. Geoffrey Goggan, the architect did agreat job with the plans, came with me to the planning board meetingand everything was approved by my town. The contractors were done in three days and left everything spotless. I would use amercan home remodeling for future projects. My wife and i are really enjoying our deck.

We had our roof done. There were already 3 layers of shingles on there so they had to come off. They also did siding on part of the upper floor. Very professional, on time. The price was a little high, but worth it when the work was over. The salesman, Dan, was a pleasure to work with. The only complaint I have was there was a little too much mess around when they left. Considering we had a dumpster, I feel it could have been cleaner. But the roof has been done a month and a few big storms since then. No leaks. Thank you guys!

The deck in our newly purchased home was not maintained by the previous owners. It was leaning, the stairs were not level, basically all around in bad shape. Chris came out and walked us through various options. He was great! He was very open and straight-forward with us regarding cost, where he would suggest spending the money and what may not be worth it, and how to work through the overall backyard project in stages (deck, patio, etc). When he came out for us to sign the contracts, he discussed the overall process (permits, etc), the timeline, and the breakdown of payments. The day they started, Chris came over to introduce the crew, walk-through what they were going to be doing, and confirmed that we didn't have any questions at this point. The crew was very professional and really worked quickly. They ended up having to use an outlet inside the house and were respectful of our things and the floor (they put down clothes so the equipment wouldn't damage the floor). Chris would send e-mails or call to provide updates on how the project was progressing. He was always available and responsive to any questions we had. We really enjoyed working with Chris and the entire crew!

They did a good job, the workers were courteous and professional. They did the service in record time! I was satisfied with the project they did!

The salesman and contractors were very nice and professional. They started the job immediately after obtaining the proper permits from the town. Our deck was up in no time. We are very pleased with their work.

We are undergoing a significant demolition project so we haven't actually started the restoration phase yet with American Home Remodeling. That being said, we've met with Chris twice now regarding building new front and rear steps as well as a large paver patio in the rear. Chris has been extremely professional, well prepared and has shared numerous photos of their past work as both support and to help us determine what exactly we want to do with our house. I put the price as a "B" only because we haven't moved forward with and I don't have much to compare it to - nor do I have any past experience on a project this large.Highly recommend them!

We are very pleased with our siding. Vic was very responsive and helpful in the experience, even when we had trouble picking out a color. The crew that did the siding was very friendly, hard working men that were attentive to details and answered any questions we had during the process. Rain delayed things a bit mid-project, but they still completed within a few days. Vic was always available by phone, email or text and got back to me quickly. Our house looks great and we have already recommended American Home Remodeling to our friends who are looking to side their house.

The company secured the necessary permits to complete the bathroom renovation. Dan sat down with me and explained the process of remodeling the bathroom as well as made helpful suggestions on the remodel. Only having one bathroom in the townhouse, they worked with me to minimize the inconvenience for me. The finishes were exactly what I expected and desired. Excellent job!

I contacted American Home Remodeling after reading many reviews on Angies List. I found out after that that they did work on my block for my neighbor who was extremely pleased with them.Chris came over and we went over the job. He was great, and understood the urgency for the job, since i want to have an easy access for my mom who is elderly to get into the house and an comfortable place to sit outside.Chris guided me through the zoning and permit process, which was probably the longest part of the job. After we had the permit in hand, the job moved ahead at lightening speed. Chris was always present and checking on the progress and if i was pleased with the results. I am so pleased with our new deck and would definitely use them for any future work on this house. We have worked with many companies and i have never had such a pleasant experience. They are definitely AAA+
