We contacted this company to get an estimate for finishing our basement (we have a cape cod with full basement), add a laundry room and a half bath. Chris walked through the area with us and sat for a while laying out options and showing us pictures. Ultimately, we didn't use them because the quote seemed a little high, but he was very professional and I'd recommend them.

Overall the process went as quickly as I imagined. They did an excellent job with removal and cleaning up.

My experience with them was pretty good. They worked with my insurance company really well. I got most of it back. He was very responsive about dealing with my insurance company. Based on his description of the work that had to be done, a lot of it was based on what he said and I got most of it back. I appreciated that they are very good to work with. They were just professional, easy to work with and very responsive. They stuck to their price quote too. There was a few things that I needed to be done in addition but they stuck to their price.

I met with Chris Fontana to get an estimate to replace my roof. As the meeting went on, I felt that American Home Re-modelers was definitely the right choice for me. Chris was honest, knowledgeable and listened to my needs. The more I spoke with Chris the more I knew I could also trust my siding to this company. Chris was never more than a phone call away. He explained everything to me and did not treat me like an idiot. He was beyond responsive and was always one step ahead of the game. The craftsmen(and I do mean craftsmen, they were meticulous) that were on site were polite, knowledgeable and kept me informed every step of the way(Thanks Reinaldo and Renato). The job had been completed for about 2 weeks when my neighbor was also having a new roof installed. I was extremely concerned about this since the neighbors contractor had nailed a tarp to my brand new roof without my permission. It was a Saturday and I called Chris to ask his opinion. Chris told me he would be at my house in an hour(and he was). Chris calmed all my fears, gave me some advice and came up with a plan to remedy the situation.This is the epitome of customer service. How many contractors do you know that would come out after the job was completed. My money was extremely well spent, lots of companies can put up siding and install roofs, but how many companies do you know who provide free life advice on how to maintain a good relationship with your neighbors and get them to pay for the damage they caused on your house.

The job was completed within 5 weeks. We are extremely satisfied with the work they did. Totally amazing to say the least. Chris Fontana was excellent as he oversaw the entire project step by step. We were very pleased to work with Chris and his associates. All of them are so courteous, knowledgeable and true professionals. We were involved with this project from the beginning to the end. We always stayed in touch with Chris and his associates. They answered every questions and concerns we had and made our lives so much easier through this major innovation project. The company responded quickly to my call to get an estimate on several projects around my house. The gentleman who came was very professional. After writing down all of my information he said he would email the estimate to me later that day, which he did. The estimate to remove and replace my patio wasn't too bad but after getting others I am not sure he considered anything more than the basic concrete work. I asked about small carpentry work and that estimate was very high. The real kicker was the estimate for a new furnace and installation of central A/C. Their price was way out of the ballpark. The furnace quote was higher but the A/C quote was astronomical.

I called American Home Remodeling for a quote to fix a leaky roof. Dan arrived 30 minutes after my initial call, gave me a quote and scheduled the repairs. He team repaired my roof after a major snowstorm without causing any inconvenience to the residents. I highly recommend them.

American Home Remodeling was on time for our appointment and was very thorough in explaining what they're going to do and what was needed.

The experience was terrific as always, working with Chris. If we had not had a 2-3 week interruption ( thanks to Hurricane Sandy) we would have been finished by Thanksgiving instead of Christmas. Chris guided us every step of the way, from getting the permits and inspections, to picking the various tiles, the vanity, the new lo flush toilet and all the shower fixtures. He was able to purchase and deliver most of it for us. The crews were amazing and all respectful to us, and made sure that our cats did not escape outside. I had constant contact with Chris and the crew and always knew when someone would be working here. The work is flawless, and beautiful. It looks just like I wanted it to. I would definitely use them for any and all new projects.

We are very satisfied with the total experience. The work was started earlier than we expected and was very professionally done. Our home is warm and cozy. It really looks beautiful! The workers cleaned up after themselves everyday and were very pleasant. It was a very professional job. Victor Fiore contacted us everyday to be sure that we were completely satisfied. He also visited the work site and inspected the it. He took several pictures and informed the site supervisor as to what had to be done.We really love the way the job turned out.

We suffered significant damage to our siding as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Our siding was around 40 years old so we needed to have the entire house done. I contacted American Home as one of three contractors to do the job. I was impressed with Vic Fiore who was very gracious and personable. He patiently answered all my questions (and then some). He was also very patient while we worked things out with our insurance company and stayed in constant communication with me throughout. The crew was very professional and friendly. They constantly communicated with me and my wife to make sure that the work they were doing was to our satisfaction. The entire job took 5 days and the result was even better than I had hoped for. My house looks like it has had a "face-lift". They disposed of all the old wires that were hanging around while very neatly retaining the wires that I needed and hiding most of it from plain view. They also cleaned up my property very thoroughly. My house looks much better than it had prior to American Home's work and is much warmer as a result (new 3/4 insulation installed in place of none, believe it or not). American Home did a great job, was very professional, was in constant communication (Vic was sending me texts me almost daily asking me for feedback and answering all my questions/requests) and most importantly, were HONEST! My wife and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend American Home to anyone. I will use them again and have already spoken with Vic to have more work done in the Spring.

I can't begin to tell everyone on Angie's List how amazing of an experience I had with Chris and American Homes Remodeling. I had just come down from a disaster experience of close to a year with 2 other companies that I did not choose from Angies List. AHR was my first Angie List experience and THANK GOD. Chris gave us an EXCELLENT Quote actually saved me close to 30k from the other disaster I was involved with. He actually understood being an investor and what needed to be done. His Expertise is TOP NOTCH. He finished the back siding of our building in 5 days no headaches, no problems. For a minute we didn't think anyone was there, but when we showed up to the building the job was just about complete, that is how quite, effective and efficient his crew was. Chris and American Homes Remodeling is a sure bet. Courteous, prompt and returns calls. We had a huge family vacation planned and my brother was having his first born in Miami. Chris was so nice that he said listen don't worry about the payment I know your good for it, and just square up when you get back. I never was so excited to hand someone a check before because the job was flawless. I am currently having him and his team finish our hallways now. And they will be doing the front of the building come March. I will be sure to leave a 5 star review again and again. American Homes Remodeling = Heaven Sent .

Salesman was very knowledgable but not pushy. Of the 5 estimates I received bids for, theirs was by far the best priced. The sales man knew exactly what was on my house, type brand and color and matched it perfectly. Others said they would "try" to match but could not promise. So in the end, I got exactly what I needed, at the absolute best price. The work was done when promised, and though it was a frigid 20 degrees outside, the workman showed up, smiled and did the job with no complaints. An excellent experience.

Overall, it was a great experience. I heard many horror stories about roofers but I have a high level of confidence in Chris and AHR. The job was finished on time and on budget.

We were very pleased. They were highly responsive and proactive in scheduling and confirming appointments, and showed up on time as scheduled. We received confirmation from a third-party that the materials they used were of very high quality, and would give us a 30-year life on the roof. On the day the work was performed, the workers arrived early in the morning and worked well into the evening. They were very professional and courteous, and laid down a wood platform to protect our driveway from any damage when the materials were delivered. They finished on the second day and did an outstanding job cleaning up and leaving our home in excellent condition. The roof looks great. I would use this company again and would give them a high recommendation.

Overall, all went well . . . some problems cropped up with theTown permit, since they were calling the construction a "DECK", instead of "stairs and a landing", eventually this was straightened out . . . then, they would not accept a "sketch" of the replacemant that AHR submitted, but rather three copies of a detailed blueprint that I (the homeowner) was forced to draw and submit to the building sub-code official. Eventually we recieved the permit and AHR removed the old stairs/landing, dug the foundation holes and the sub-code offical inspected and approved. None of these problems was AHRs' fault, it just delayed the work by a few days. Even after Hurricane Sandy came by the contractor stuck by their schedule as much as possible . . . amazing, considering the amount of additional work the hurricane caused everyone. Once the foundation concrete hardened, the crew started the pressure treated lumber construction work, doing careful, rapid work. In a few days they had the new steps and landing constructed with Trex step material and finally covered all the pressure treated lumber with white plastic covering and added the correct railings and ballisters, as per the Towns safety requirements, including a "Graspable' additional inside handrail thet the Town required. Thereafter it was cleanup and removal of all other debris, in a speedy and efficent manner. We are very pleased with the results.

ondo.nj my roof was leaking around the base of my chimney, also the right side gutter on my porch was leaking I called american home remodeling company that I found on angieslist I spoke with victor fiore sr, I explained my problem , he came out looked at the roof and gutter and gave me a price that was inline with others gave me a date to do the work I excepted, he came on that date did the work and finish that same day, and got paid, he did make a trip back to redo the gutter its been over a year now and everything is still holding up just fine. very nice man victor sr.own

It was an interesting journey trying to get estimates for my roof. My experience ranged from the companies that provide estimates only online and through e-mail and ask me to take pictures and send to them (yes, from Angie's list) to companies that try to take advantage .. quoting $22,000 for a roof and then only bringing the price down when challenged .. Dan of American Home Remodeling was the most caring, honest, and professional. He accommodated my schedule, and came to my home on time and as promised. He showed me that this company is a Team of professionals who know what they are doing .. he promised to do it all .. from getting the permits, to getting the dumpsters, to minimizing any inconvenience that may be caused from a large job. This company delivers on its promises. The pricing was the lowest quoted, and it included replacement of the gutters and replacement of a window .. it was very obvious that this company does not try to take advantage, but offers as much as it can to its customers. I was in the home while the work was done, and the crew seemed mindful of minimizing all inconveniences. Everyone was polite, everyone was extremely nice and mindful of my neighbors. At the end of the day, everything was cleaned up totally. The second day was Sunday and by mid-day it started to rain. Everyone stayed until noon, made sure everything was covered, and once again everything totally cleaned up. American Home Remodeling made installing a new roof on an old home truly a pleasure. They are coming back in a couple of weeks to replace all windows and door on my porch. My neighbors are commenting on what a great job they did, and how respectful they were of others' property. I am planning to use this company forever, and I am recommending them to my neighbors and friends. They have gained my total trust, and it is such a relief knowing that there is a company out there with integrity, that cherishes its customers.

Our roof sustained extreme damage after "sandy" and needed to be replaced. On a recommendation from a friend who had used AHR for her new roof I contacted Dan Falato to set up an appointment. Dan arrived on schedule, assessed the situation and promptly provided a detailed estimate. Dan was prompt and professional. His team was on time and had our roof replaced within the time quoted and on budget.

I met with Raymond and showed him the work that need to be done. We talked for a while about the work. He showed me a few options on the type of material to use on the roof. He gave me a verbal estimate which sounded reasonable. When I asked him for a written estimate, he told me that they don't give written estimate until the customer has committed to use them. I told him that seems like a strange policy for jobs that cost thousands of dollars. He called me back about a week later to see what I have decided, but I told him I don't have anything to judge his offer since I don't have anything in writing. Sorry, he did write something on the side of a junk mail advertisement card. Couldn't really read it that clearly. Now can't find it. Probably someone at the house thought it was junk mail and throw it away. Apparently, there was some mis-communication concerning the estimate. But have received an detailed estimate from Ray and I'm now working with my insurance to finalize a contract with them. Update: We later learn that State Farm was willing to replace the roof on my house plus garage. I asked Ray for an revised estimate and he gave me an estimate that was about $4,000 more than their advertised price of $8,888 for 2000 sq ft. I asked him why the difference and he told me they were doing some extra things. When he listed the extra things, I showed him that all of the things he listed was included in the advertised price except the extra plywood if needed. He got upset and started insisting that it was a fair deal. I told him I didn't understand why I couldn't get the "Angies List" advertised price if my house and garage roof combine was under the 2,000 sq ft. He got so upset that he hung up on me (happened Friday Jan 11th). Later, he got an call from my insurance company and they both agreed on a price for the roofing. So, he tried to call me to let me know that they were ok with the price, but I later informed my insurance company that I did not want to work with American Home Remodeling anymore. So I had to stay the process over again. I tried my best to work with Ray, but after he hung-up the phone on me I knew I could not work with him again.

Just let these guys walk you through it all. No sweat.

Contacted company after insurance adjuster/insurance company was contacted to determine damage from Hurricane Sandy. Company responded the same day and the work (complete roof and replace some siding) within one week of signing contract. Was very pleased with the work and follow up! Have recommended them to my neighbor!!!

They were wonderful. It's a really small space, but they really did a whole lot of work in that area. They are extremely knowledgeable and extremely professional because if one is dealing with an area that's older, so one never knows what's going to happen when they are taking down the walls. Of course, there were a couple of a little surprises that they found like riding wood and stuff. They were very knowledgeable in deciding what they need to do about it. The electrical work was done beautifully and finished off nicely. Everything was finished off beautifully and more than I even expected with molding and everything. They did a wonderful. They were very conscientious and punctual. They were everything that we would ever want.
