We got a roofing and new gutters deal on Angie's List from AHR . Our square footage was more than the deal quoted but their estimate was extremely accurate. They had to tear off several layers of shingle and the original cedar shakes of our 1907 home. They cleaned up very well and did the job to our satisfaction. They had to do a bit of extra work to make the fascia look aesthetically correct and Vic from American Home Remodeling was very professional in his approach. I really appreciated them going the extra mile. The crew was nice and cleaned the site up very well. I'd definitely recommend them for the job.

The entire process was very smooth from the date of the original estimate, scheduling of the work and completion of the job. We were kept in the loop about any issues or concerns throughout the process and treated in a friendly, professional manner.

It went smooth as planned. The roof and railing are done perfectly. The door is installed properly. The sheetrock on the inside of the garage well done, and painted perfect.... Not one complaint is all I can say. John

Generally, we were pleased. The roofing, siding and gutters look fine. Dan, the project manager, was very likable and pleasant, and we do feel that the price was fair. There are several reasons why we couldn't give an "A" rating in all categories The failure to have a dumpster on site until the last day of work caused our property and our neighbors' properties to be covered with debris for an entire week. Dan explained that he had problems with the dumpster company that were beyond his control. We were sympathetic to the situation but, unfortunately, we are still picking pieces of vinyl, roofing, nails and debris out of our bushes and lawn. Our property looked like a war zone for an entire week. The second reason is that we waited over a month for the storm door to arrive and be installed. I guess we should have asked for more input on the specifics of the door, but the hardware on it is brass and we would have asked for brushed nickel. In addition, the handle does not have spring action. Well, I guess that's on us, but I do wish the contractor had thought to ask us before ordering the door and installing it. We would use this company again as we would expect that the dumpster situation was unusual and probably wouldn't happen again. Dan was certainly responsive when we contacted him about anything- the situation was just beyond his control.

The service was really good. They got it all done in a day. They were really communicative. It was great. It worked out very well.

Vic Fiore managed our project. He was very professional, courteous and very communicative, responding to texts and emails. I’m always a little nervous during large projects but Vic’s high level of communication went a long way to easing my anxiety level during the work. We went through several iterations of the scope of work before finally arriving at what would become a completed job. Vic was patient with me as I changed things, added things, removed things trying to get to the correct scope and price. The professionals that did the different parts of the project were all really good at their trades. The carpenter did an amazing job on the deck and was able to build features that I either described or showed him on websites. He also built a beautiful portico over the back door which was later finished by the siding crew. It came out better than expected. The siding crew did the rip-off of the old siding and installed new Prodigy insulated vinyl. They trimmed out all the windows and doors and the final result is amazing. The paving crew laid in a paver walk and patio to complement the new deck. A mason applied stucco on the entire foundation. The color is lighter than the siding and this detail really enhanced the overall appearance of the completed project. In any large project there will be areas of concern that need special attention. Several of these areas surfaced after the workers had finished various phases. In each case, Vic was just a text message away to take care of getting it corrected. There was not one problem that didn’t get resolved. When we step back and look at the final result, we’re always thankful that we had a top notch project manager that got everything done correctly. I am very happy that I used AHR and they will definitely get my next project. I highly recommend them. Thanks Vic and all tradesmen for a job well done!!

First impressions are key to making a decision like hiring a contractor and i got a bad first impression by this company which was shocking after reading all the positive reviews here. I missed their call back after my email. The first time i tried calling back, i was put on on hold, then hung up on. The lady was not very polite and not professional and people were loud in the background.I tried a few days later and they came across as disorganized and unprofessional once again. After being transferred several times, i spoke to man about scheduling the estimate. They have the policy where both the husband and wife must be present at the estimate which leads me to believe they salesman puts a hard sell on you during the visit which is a turnoff. My wife works, we have a 2 and 5-year-old and she has told me she only wants to know what each contractor will charge. She does not want or have the time to deal with the estimate process. I explained this to the gentleman and he would not alter his policy. Somerville Aluminum had no problem with just meeting with me. Did i contact the right company? Did not seem like the wonderful company every here had written about. Very disappointed, was hoping to use their BIG DEAL offer as well.

Chris and team were excellent and things went smoothly. They showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves every day. Chris also handled my crazy neighbor who accused him of damaging his house. Chris took pictures of the the neighbors house two weeks ago before the work started because I warned him about this neighbor. Chris took care of the neighbor so I didn't have to. He is excellent to deal with and highly recommended. Returns calls as promised and follows up. Had 4 other quotes and his was the best price.

They were just great and they handled everything smoothly. Unfortunately, right before they started my father-in-law passed away, and they were tactful and respectful, and kept up updated with the work without bothering us while we were out of town. The owner would come over at the end of the business day and take photos to send to me on my phone. When we got back they did the finishing touches that they needed our input for and we couldn't be happier. Everything was done top-notch with excellent quality and workmanship!

They were wonderful. Very easy to work with them. Fixed small things that I was concerned about. They bent over backwards to meet my needs.

The quote was approximately 25% over our budget, and we ultimately found another vendor to work with. We will, however, contact them again for future projects.

The company is great! They came and gave a quote, very good quote. Mike is very professional. I've decided to do further work but will definitely use this company when I am ready.

We chose not to go with American Home Remodeling as the price was a little out of our range for windows/doors, hence the B rating. Also, we would have to purchase the doors ourselves and they would just handle installation. The masonry estimate seems reasonable but we are not yet ready to do this work just yet. Nonetheless, we would consider AHR for estimates on other work in the future.

WE are extremely pleased with the service and quality of workmanship on this job. All construction was completed in 2 days, right on schedule. The crew was very polite and professional and left the premises just the way they found them. Freat job. Great price. Highly recommended.

It's best to check the work that was completed daily in case something was overlooked or needs to be redone to your satisfaction. Working with the Project Manager, Vic Fiore, was a pleasure. He responded in a professional manner, listened to my concerns and desires, and made sure the work done was absolutely to my satisfaction.

Everyone I spoke with from my initial call with the office staff was very professional and courteous. I was visited on the scheduled time with their salesman John. I used the coupon Angie's List had to save money although I knew there would be additional costs since my roof is very big. John was wonderful, friendly and professional. I chose my color and then a few days later I changed my mind. No problem. They started working the following week and took about 4 to 5 full days to complete the 2 roofs and gutters. The workers were great also. The owners of the company stopped by mid project and John stopped by almost every day. I am so happy I changed my mind on the color. I love looking at my roof everyday. My house had a facelift. It looks 25 years younger. I am not always this happy with home repairs, believe me. I have had more than my share of disasters and delays and additional costs. Nothing like that here. I am a satisfied customer.

The work was fine and was done quickly. However, they left a big tarp in the yard for about 2 months. Also, there are of lot of nails all over place. I even got one in my tire.

I met with Victor who was very professional and full of knowledge. I highly highly recommend AHR for your housing needs. I would hire this company again to perform any other work I would need to my home. I had a beautiful awning put on, superb new gutters and shutters. I have been giving Victors number out to my friends and neighbor who needs house work done. The roofing and siding team were very professional; arrive on time performed exceptional work. Very friendly staff. The teams had many many years of experience and their prompt work showed it. I personally found the entire experience to be incredible smooth and everything worked out so nicely. I have not a single complaint. Both teams cleaned up very nicely and my home looks fabulous! I love it so much. Excellent work. I give them an A+. I chose them searching Angie's list. The service was great. The workers were good, they did the work on time, and the price was the best of the companies that I spoke with.

Called AHR. They picked up the phone right away but refused to do an estimate until I "owned the house." I asked if the current owner could contact them. Again "no." They were not interested in working with us to work it out to get the estimate done. It's a silly policy and and left me disinterested in contacting them again. The gentleman was nice enough, but not interested in helping.

I did not have any bad experience with them at all, and I would use them again

We originally reached out to them due to their profound rating on Angie's list about a year and a half ago. We had an issue with our garage. We needed to replace the flashing on the roof, put up a new beam, and redo the drywall. My wife scheduled an appointment with them, and they never showed up. So, we scheduled a second appointment with them about a week later. After being a no-show the second time, we just paid someone else to do the work. Then, about 6 months later they contacted us and asked if we still needed the garage fixed. My wife said it was already fixed, but thanked them for calling. A year after that, they called again, asking if we still needed our garage fixed. Obviously, we already told them that the garage was fixed , but I guess they don't keep very good paperwork. Anyway, my wife decided to give them a second chance because we are looking to add a bathroom to the first floor. It was a big waste of our time. They missed four appointments over the last month. All of which, were last-minute same day cancelations. They were supposed to come on Thursday of this week. My wife had scheduled the appointment for 8 pm so that I would be home for work. They called at 4 pm and said that 8pm was too late to come out. (If it was too late, why did they schedule it at that time.) We were both home, and said that they could come out at any time that day. He said he would rather come by Saturday. So, we said we would see him sometime Saturday. So, today is Saturday. We called to ask what time he would be coming, and he said that he wouldn't be coming. They say 3rd times the charm. Well, I guess 6th times the charm for me. They clearly are too busy for my business, which makes me think they will probably be too busy to do the job right anyway.

Service was excellent. I received a number of quotes prior to using American Home remodeling. Vic Jr. was very attentive to my needs and budget and worked with me. Work started in less than a week from the time I started the contract. The new roof and soffits look awesome! All my neighbors were impressed with how fast the work was done and how hard all the workers worked. They were truly pros and completely dedicated to getting the job done! They had forgot to cap a few windows on one side of the house and when I notified Vic Jr. (the Owner's son) he promptly had this done and corrected the same day! They cleaned up perfectly and my neighbor thinks I added nearly $20K to my houses value. I would definitely use them again and am considering them for some new steps and driveway. Price was very fair for the work performed.

Very good. Sandy took my roof in one night, and they replaced it in 2 days. No problems. Very flexible, prompt, and professional.
