Work and materials were explained to me and Mr. Fiore was very comfortable to work with. Answered all questions .Five men arrived early on the 12/30/15, and began working. The foreman introduced himself and we discussed the problems of the roof and what was to be done. Men very professional and courteous. Extra work had to be done, and I was advised of this. Men worked until dark each day to complete the work within the two day period. Permit was obtained within two days of contracting with John Fiore of American Home Remodeling and he was in daily contact with me while work being done. All in all am very pleased with the workers.

Everyone I dealt with was polite. All the work was done as promised. My main contact was John Fiore. He was polite, knowledgeable and responsive. All the work was done in a minimum amount of time. I was unsatisfied with a small detail on the roofing work. The crew came back the following afternoon and fixed the issue to my complete satisfaction.

We interviewed a few contractors from New Jersey and Staten Island. Yes, we shopped!!! Long story short, after all was said & done, my neighbor & I decided on American Home Remodeling and hoped & prayed we had made the right choice. Not knowing anything about this type of work, I researched online: siding & roof materials, what to look for, pricing, quality, etc, before making our final decision. Dan Falato was it!!! His personality, character, and professionalism, all played into it. He wasn't aggressive but certainly proved to be "impressive" during the job. He never argued or made any qualms about any of our concerns. He gladly did whatever he could, PLEASANTLY, to please us going the extra "miles"! Never any "...well, that's going to cost you additional...". He was a real pleasure to work with. His crew couldn't be nicer or more perfectionists.. Paul, the foreman, had everything under control. What a team. Hardworking and thorough. Paul and his team were real professionals. They were exceptional!!!! I can't say enough good things about this experience. Our house and all the trimmings look beautiful & brand new. THANK YOU Dan, Paul & his team for making this experience a real charm!!!!! No regrets here.... and all for a VERY reasonable price that couldn't be beat along with everything else ..... We wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arised. I initially selected five (5) highly rated roofing contractors from Angie's list in the area. Then, I interviewed all of them and received their estimates. After this screening process I chose American Home Remodeling based on their competitiveness, professionalism and responsiveness. The project manager, Dan, was extremely easy to interact with, knowledgeable and helpful. The project was completed in two days as they had promised. The crew which consisted of 5 workers was very professional and efficient. I am very happy with the result and I highly recommend American Home Remodeling to anyone who is in need of roofing work. They also provide other exterior work such as siding and windows as well as interior work.

overall happy with the work done, our roof use to leak in several spots and now everything is nice and dry. The only downside is the materials used for the repairs to the back patio could of been of better quality.

We called 5 companies to get bids on the work we needed done. One made an appointment and then never showed up and another didn't call back until a week after I had left them a message. Dan Falato came promptly as scheduled to give us a bid and spent plenty of time explaining the process and the materials they use. His bid was not the highest we received and not the lowest but we chose him because of his knowledge and professionalism. He then sent us the formal proposal in an email. As soon as we called him to tell him we wanted them to do the work, he scheduled a second appointment the next day for us to choose the style of the siding and the colors. It only took a few days for the materials to come in and the work was scheduled for the following day. The team that did the siding was excellent and worked every day until it was almost dark! The team that did the gutters was also excellent. The house looks 100% better than it had! We should have done it years ago! We will definitely call Dan when we have other work to do in the house.

The company was professional and responsive from the beginning of the estimate through the final touches. I was impressed with their responsiveness. For me, AHR struck a balance between being a large corporation and a mom-and-pop operation. They are family owned (I think) but have a sense of professionalism of a larger organization. The house looks great. They were able to provide very local references of houses recently completed. One note: their special prices don't foam backing insulation and uses the lowest grade of siding. If you want upgrades it will (obviously) cost more. Keep that in mind when comparing companies.

American Home Remodeling recently completed the siding project on our home. The project was completed in mid-October 2015 and took just over a week. I selected this company because of the many positive reviews on Angie?s List. I must say I was not disappointed. John Fiore was a pleasure to deal with. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and most importantly, always accessible. Paul, the site lead and his team installed the siding. Paul was a pleasure to interact with and was very attentive to all our concerns. Any question we had, Paul went out of his way to promptly answer. Paul?s team had an incredible work ethic and ensured our property was cleaned at the end of each day. Paul went above the call as we just had pavers installed on our deck and mentioned to him to please be cautious. Paul covered every inch of our deck and made sure none of the pavers were damaged. Working with American Home Remodeling was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We are planning on using this company again.

American Home Remodeling Inc completed the work in record time and I can't recommend them enough! They were very reliable with their schedule and with their promises. The deck looks great and I will absolutely use them again in the future.

Super friendly, efficient, and courteous. They did a good job, but it took a lot longer than I'd originally anticipated.

I was planning on giving a review as soon as the work was done , but, I was too busy admiring my new roof and bragging about it to my neighbors and friends , that it slipped my mind. However, credit has to be given where it is due and this company certainly deserves it. The work took a little bit longer than I expected but, I was not in a rush to complete what i thought was a huge project . I kept telling Andy, my project manager not to rush and just do a good job no matter how long it took. I did not have to say that because his team did such a great job. I am very satisfied with the work they did. Kudos to nick and George , who were very patient with me when they came to give me my initial estimate. True to their word , I am completely happy. As a matter of fact I have work lined up for them. This company will definitely be my choice company for all my other projects. Thank you American Home Remodelling. For a job well done and for restoring my faith in the construction business again. There are good companies out there who do their best at what they do and actually care about the satisfaction of their clients. This company is one of them. Did I mention their pricing is quite reasonable?

I cannot put into words how incredible the work done and the quality of service we received. John is the most responsive, caring and honest individual in the industry. I would highly recommend them to everyone I know!!! Thanks to AHR, I have the nicest home on the entire street!!! LOOK NO FURTHER - THIS IS THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO USE!!!!

They were the best from start to finish. Their price was better than anyone else and they were prompt and professional all the way. They even threw in a chimney repair with the original estimate for the siding job. They started and finished when they said they would, despite some rainy conditions. Our first contact was with Dan who showed up at our house on time for the initial meeting and estimate. There was no pressure to buy that night as some of these folks do. They matched the existing front of the house siding exactly and provided the right trim and other details without any prompting from us. And they were always willing to explain all the things they were doing. This turned out to be one of the most professional and enjoyable experiences we've had with a contractor! I would use them for other projects without question.

American Home Remodeling installed a new Roof and new Siding to my home. I interviewed 5 highly rated companies from Angies List for this project. Dan, could not have made me feel more comfortable from the time he came over for the initial estimate to the end of the job. He was always available to answer questions i had even after the job was complete and i had given them the last check. Communication is something that is very important to me! Things could not have run more smoothly. I was given plenty of notice for start dates, the workers came on time, finished the project quickly, and cleaned up my property. I have to say it is truly a pleasure to work with a company that values quality, communication, and service. I will be calling Dan and American Home Remodeling for any future projects i have on my home.

They stripped the old roof off in its entirety, and provided a new roof per the agreement. During the installation process they seemed very professional and punctual as well and I had no complaints with their system. I decided to wait a year to write the review because it is a roof after all and while it may look nice immediately after installation, there's no way to know of its performance until later. I got home tonight (it is raining) and find that there is water dripping through my new ceiling and down my new wall. I called them immediately and have been told that someone will reach out to me tomorrow to discuss.....while there is still water dripping on my floor. I hope this is rectified ASAP as we are supposed to have rain for the next three days. I will update this post accordingly depending on tomorrow's result. *Update* I called back Saturday morning and they got me scheduled for Monday morning to have a couple of guys come check out the issue. Sure enough, Monday morning the team showed up and went up on the roof to check out the issue. They told me that the (base?) of the chimney needed to be re-tarred and they took care of that on the spot. They also mentioned that my chimney was compromised due to the old brick and that I should address that ASAP as that was likely how water was penetrating. I dealt directly with John who was professional and helpful throughout the process.

The job was done in one day, they put on the roof and cleaned the area. Everything looks very good.

This job was well organized from the start. I knew what to expect as there was communication from the owner so the dumpster showed up shortly before the work crew arrived. The work crew started right away, worked very quickly and were very professional. They cleaned up and the end of each day. The job was completed a little sooner than expected and it looks really good. The dumpster was removed shortly after the job was finished so we were back to normal (but with a new looking house) in a very short time. One of the things I worry about when I hire a contractor is the dragging out of the job, problems that arise and delay things, or a crew that does not show up or do quality work. None of this was an issue with American Home Remodeling. They did exactly what they proposed to do, did so professionally, were done quickly and cleaned up after themselves nicely. We were very pleased with the company and the work and would gladly recommend them.

Terrible. The vendor cannot keep even the simplest of commitments.

We used American Home Remodeling for our siding project 2 years ago. The experience was phenomenal. Dan was extremely responsive, prompt and professional. We spoke to him on a Saturday, he gave us a quote right away and the project was done within a week! The work was exceptional. However, I am giving the company a B rating because we tried reaching out to them again recently to install a patio and while Dan again was very responsive in the beginning and came by right away to look at the scope of the job, we have not heard back from him in months. He came by in April 2015 and said we would have a quote soon but we never heard back. My husband tried reaching out to him a few times, even in the last week, since we understand the contracting business gets busy in the summer but still no word from him. It's unfortunate because they did an excellent job on our siding and we would've liked to have become repeat customers.

American Home Remodeling Co. did a fantastic job. Their customer service was very polite and professional when I called. They immediately sent out a Company Representative named Dan who really explained the workmanship and pricing clearly. He took a look at the outside and did measurements and then emailed us the contract with all the details. The house now looks beautiful and I am sure the installation will cut down on the heating costs this winter. The price was excellent and the work was done quickly. I would highly recommend American Home Remodeling for anyone who is looking to do their siding.

My wife and I recently used American Home Remodeling to install new vinyl siding on our home. Everything from initial estimate to installation could not have gone more smoothly. Our project manager, Dan, was courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and always available to answer any questions/concerns we had. After having negative experiences with other contractors/companies in the past, it was such a relief to work with a company that holds itself to such high standards. I will definitely recommend Dan to anyone needing work done to their home and American Home Remodeling is the only company I will work with on future projects. A huge 'thank you' to them for such an amazing job!!

I got them from Angie's List. It was okay. I was not happy with the detail work on the interior with the door jams. They had to come back a lot of times to fix the issues. We dealt with the owner of the company and the owner was very responsive but not the contractors.

I fully explained to the Angie's List rep that I was looking for a full service home remodeling company. Distressed 2-family house in need of windows; siding; gutters; 2-kitchens; 2 bathrooms; front and back doors and more. Search request was sent out on Snapfix by Angie's List rep. I was impressed when I promptly received a call from AHR office rep to set up an appointment. I explained the situation again, was assured they did all that I needed, and set appt. for August 5 - 1PM-3PM (rep said appointments always set for 2 hours to allow time for inspection to determine needs for estimate). Received 2 or 3 additional phone calls from AHR office confirming appointment before anyone came. Received a call from Dan on 8/5 at 12:30 saying he was running late and would be here closer to 2PM. Finally showed up at 2:45; looked around; wrote NOTHING down about what I needed with very little discussion about what he would recommend; took a rough measurement of outside width of house; said kitchens usually run about $35K each and bathrooms $15K each; and left by 3:30 with promise he would put together a written proposal and send to me. When I said I would want references for other jobs he did, he said just read the ones on Angie's List website. I waited 3 weeks with no response, only to receive a phone call from AHR office asking if I wanted to reschedule the appointment that was missed on 8/5? Told AHR rep that Dan had been here on 8/5 and that I was still waiting to hear back from him. She said she would send him an email to that effect. Today is September 15 and I've never heard another word from AHR. From other reviews on Angie's List I've read, seems to be more of just a roofing, windows and siding company. Wish they hadn't wasted my time pretending to be a full home remodeling company. If not interested in the job, they just could have said so Update 09-23-2015 in response to American Home Remodeling reply on 09-17-2015. NO proposal was EVER received and if it had been sent in 3 days, then why was there no further follow-up from AHR? Especially after I told your customer service rep when she called 3 weeks later (your CSR said she was calling to find out if I wanted to RESCHEDULE for the MISSED appointment on 8/5, not as a follow-up on the proposal) that I was still waiting for the proposal, and she advised she was sending Dan an email to that effect. I was VERY willing to go forth with your company on this project if proposal was within reason, but considering the false claims and lack of follow through on their part, I would recommend that any other Angie's List member to proceed with caution

When we decided to have our house sided this summer we spoke to numerous contractors, checked references and Angie?s List and selected American Home Remodeling in Irvington, NJ. Dan Falato came to our home and helped us lay out the entire project. He was very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, explained to us in detail the scope of the job, the materials they would be using and secured the permit from the township. Whenever we called Dan with a question, even on a weekend, he always responsive and returned our call promptly. The crew arrived to do the job as scheduled early in the morning and continued to work until they completed everything they planned to do that day. They even worked on all day Saturday. The men were professional, experienced, dedicated, hardworking, dependable, meticulous, neat, courteous and friendly. When they left each day they cleaned up and left no debris behind. Even though it was brutally hot they finish the job on schedule. The crew, Nestor, Giovanni, Jose, and Eric were fantastic as was Frank who painted the foundation. Based on our experience we can without hesitation say that if you are considering siding your home you will find no contractor more reputable, honest, fair priced and thorough as American Home Remodeling. They did not cut corners and did everything, and more than they said they would. We are so pleased with the finished product that we can assure you that we would not hesitate to recommend them to any of our family and friends. If you call them to side your home you will be satisfied too.

The job was done professionally and timely with an affinity for detail. The contractors left my property clean and tidy and beautiful. They were easy to speak with and even made recommendations to move my light up to cover more square feet. I will use this company for all my home improvement needs. I am truly happy with the service.
