Good Mowin

Run don't walk from them. Totally unprofessional. Didn't show for scheduled cuttings. lied about when they would come to cut the grass. Damaged the lawn with their "cowboy" antics. Missed areas to be cut.

Good Mowin solicited our business for landscaping and snow removal - and did not provide the services offered in the contract, as well as pulled out during the height of the growing season claiming lack of staff. Lawns were supposed to be mowed once a week, they were not, in fact grass grew up to knees. Trimming of bushes were put off for months allowing the bushes to grow out in an unruly untidy manner. Flowers were supposed to be planted in community beds - the second year a minimal amount were planted in two front beds yet the main large bed recieved no flowers. The problem was unreliability and constant turnover of their employees. Additionally Good Mowin quit the day a tremendous snow storm was due claiming they could not work with our property manager saying she was difficult to work with. GM agreed to stay when we offered to get another property manager - yet unexpectedlt quit 3 months later - Good Mowins word cannot be trusted. One thing Good Mowin was good at was billing which we overpaid at the end of their tenure. We paid on time yet did not recieve the services agreed to. The issue of pulling out with minimal notice during the height of the growing season is the most unprofessional conduct. Soliciting business, not providing the services ageed to in the contract yet accepting full payments is most unprofessional and it is for that reason Good Mowin receives a poor rating.

I contracted with Good Mowin to do a yard clean up, including weeding, clearing brush, and removing a bush. We also signed a contract with them to do bi-weekly lawn cutting. Their price estimate was higher than other landscapers, but they had better availability and agreed to bi-weekly cuts instead of weekly cuts, which many landscapers are now refusing, so we selected them. They did a terrible job on the clean up. The bush we paid them to remove is still growing in my yard. Within days, all of the weeds were back. Their crew of day laborers clearly didn't pull any of the roots out, only the exposed greens. When I called to complain, I was consistently ignored. Finally I spoke with an owner who screamed and cursed at me, saying it was impossible to pull a weed out without removing the roots and claimed all of the weeds were new growth he wasn't responsible for. This was impossible, as the weeds I was pulling out on my own to show him had massive root structures and some were obviously growing in the same exact spots as before. Finally, after my persistent calling, they came back, but it was similarly disastrous. During this time, they were also cutting the grass, but kept coming weekly instead of bi-weekly, and hence double billing. They would show up at random times and days, even arrving once at 6AM on Saturday and waking us and our neighbors, always with some poor excuse .We finally ended our relationship with them after two months of headaches. In short, they are rude, incompetent, and do poor quality work. Stay away.The only green they're good at removing from your property is your money.

Multiple calls to get them started in the spring. Showed up for fertilization but not grass cutting. OK for about 3 months then no grass cuttings for three weeks and no communications. Billing incorrect - wrong amount for quoted service, for a grass cut before service finally started.

I had them for over a year, they were consistent and they started wearing down by saying that they're going to come Tuesdays and they would show up Wednesday and then it would be Thursday and then it would be a week gone by and if it rained, they got overbooked and they wouldn't show up for another week. My lawn would be like thick city and you know you called, leave messages, never showed and they finally showed up today in my kid's birthday party and we're begging them to please cut the lawn and it was a Saturday birthday party and they were a week behind and it wasn't my fault they were a week behind and get another lawn mower, get another person. And they just said, we're sorry 'cause every time it rains, we get backed up, that's not our problem specially after a week later you don't show up and we're getting ticks like crazy 'cause the lawn wasn't being cut so we just fired them. They're really, really unreliable. The workers were okay, they were in and out which is great but it's just the consistency is horrible, reliability is horrible. At the end of our relationship, we could have been using them, they've ruined it, specially when I called up to say I want them longer, they didn't apologize, they didn't care less losing me as a customer, I gave them a lot of money, I gave them a lot of work, a lot of mulching, fertilizing, everything and they just didn't seem to care. I don't know what happened, too big for their britches, I don't know. Their pricing for cutting the lawn was good, but they overcharge for the other stuff but I was comfortable using them but they were expensive like for mulching and putting trees in or putting rocks in or kind of stuff, they were pricy. The quality of the work was good. I'm done with them, specially when we told them not to come back for work and we're going to go with somebody else, they didn't try to even make it right, you know promise they'll be here every Tuesday, they didn't care less of losing me.
