I went to best buy to fix my computer. There was an electronic sign in for service which I completed. Then I noticed that other people just got in line ahead of me as I took the time to sign in. They were waited on first. The techs did not know what was wrong with my computer but they did refer me to another company.
Description of Work: The service was for computer repair. They were unable to diagnose the problem.

I bought a computer from Best Buy last and in two weeks my computer crashed. It was a new HP. I called them and they said that I would have to deal with the manufacturer and I said this thing is two weeks ago. I had to call up Hewlett-Packard. I am not an expert on computers, but it is like I think it was the motherboard's tone because I had not really loaded anything on it. I have only had it for two weeks. So I used it very infrequently. I bought it because I was getting laid off and I needed to tap a new home computer. I had to end up calling up HP and they sent me a packet so I could mail it to them so they could diagnose it, and it took over a month on a new computer. So when I went to buy a new phone and went to buy a new television set I did not go back to Best Buy. If that is the way you do business, screw you. That is why I did not review them, it is like this is going to be scolding. I know on Angie's list you should be honest even if it is painful, I thought what am I going to say, I paid for a new laptop, two weeks later it broke and you just said call HP. Anyone would be irritated, specially when I did get laid off from work and I did need it to kind of look for work. I did have my new computer that was not with me for over a month. Thanks God, I had an old slow computer that still works. I am sure that Best Buy is not just like that about computers, I am sure they are like that for probably most of their products. I mean it would be one thing, if it was like seven to eight months down the road and I loaded a virus, it is through my own fault, but it is like I did not load anything on it yet and like I said it is probably the motherboard, as I have not been able to do anything to it, and it was the motherboard actually. So that was like a product defect, so there is nothing that I could have done, like I probably did something to it, it was like no I did not. I have not even transferred files over yet. I did not rate them earlier because I thought this is going to bad and I really do not want to be that nasty with somebody. It cost me nothing to have it fixed by HP. They said that okay we are going to send you a packet, like a bubble packet to send it back in. They said that it is going to take you at least three to four days to get that, then send it back to us and it is going to take us at least a week to 10 days to diagnose it and then another week to 10 days to fix it and then a few days after that to get it back to you, as they do not have any repair centers in the area. Hewlett-Packard was fine, it was just a little bit labor intensive, but they did not have anything close so they had to be with my laptop for like a month. People might find that unreasonable, I thought it was kind of like well at least they are fixing it for free, it is only two weeks old. I think Best Buy basically like washed their hands with it. Their in-store people were very nice and very helpful, however at the end of the day the service was bad, so that it made me not want to do business with them ever again. They lost another $1000 worth of business from this year. I bought a television elsewhere and I got a new iPhone from elsewhere and not from them.
