Bob, Craig, and their crew were great. Work was done relatively quickly, neatly, efficiently and no problems with approvals - quality work! Everything was back filled and neat as a pin. Would definitely hire them again.

Horrible work. My yard is ruined. Robertson Excavating did the excavating for my septic upgrade and now I’m left with a horribly ugly yard that it would take thousands of dollars and many months to fix. Every day I look out at this disaster and feel horrible. Do not use this company!!! Two main issues: Grading: Their job regrading my yard after the septic upgrade was horribly uneven. Instead of the relatively flat 2 acre property we started with, the yard is full of awkward hills and low areas they should have leveled out, in addition to sink holes they would not come out to repair. Grass Seed: Instead of fescue or bluegrass, they planted a cheap type of meadow grass that’s impossible to keep green. It looks and feels like straw. The only way to get rid of it is to tear up that entire area and put new topsoil and seed. To save a little money, they left me with an ugly mess that would be extremely costly to fix.

The work was completed on time and they did a wonderful job.

Robertson reviewed the inspection report via fax and scheduled the job quickly. He and his team showed up when they said they would. Robertson explained the job in detail and answered all my many questions clearly. The team was courteous and pleasant and kept me informed as to when I could use the water. They had to dig up half the lawn, but left it looking pretty good. They even re-seeded it (although I don't have much hope it will grow - but it was a nice effort). For something potentially as traumatic as a septic system Robertson made it pretty easy and came in $400 under the original outside estimate. What I especially appreciated was that he gave me a very clear report on the condition of the system and the leach field when the job was finished. He also explained septic maintenance and the fact that the town keeps records (which I was not aware of) - so I got a good education for the future in the bargain.
