This company lacks communication. Not only does it lack, but they also tried very hard not to return your phone calls. Every contractor they sent my way was horrible. The roofers urinated all over my yard, throwing debris all over my landscaping. These guys were not legate contractors; they were people you pick up off the street. The electrician drilled a hole into the house hitting wires and causing my power to go out in various locations. He didn't have enough integrity to tell anyone. It’s been about 6 months and no power is being generated from our panels. Yet I am being billed on top of our high electrical bill. Come to find out our utility company denied the project from the start and has been trying to reach someone at the company and they are not returning his calls. We have been reaching out as well, no one knows anything. The utility company states that we can’t even have 28 panels on our roof, which are already installed and being paid for. PECO provided their solutions to get us up and running. Suntuity is also avoiding them too. So clearly this problem is not going away soon. Clear to see Suntuity ignored the utility companies’ denial of our project and went ahead and installed this so they could start getting paid. If this continues to be avoided, we will have to contact a lawyer, I will not pay for a system that was never approved from the utility company, that has not passed final inspection with the township and will not function because Suntuity did not do their due diligence.

I’m a big fan of solar, but stay away from Suntuity. Panels were on my roof in September, but they screwed up the inspection with the town so badly that it took until May for the panels to start producing. My wife and I had to do a lot of the legwork and coordination with the town ourselves because Suntuity checked out. Of course, the payments for the panels came due in December, which means we were paying for BOTH the solar panels AND the full cost of electricity while we were waiting for Suntuity the get their s#*t together and get them turned on. Customer service is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. They outright lied several times to us. They accepted ZERO responsibility and made promises to compensate that they did not follow through on. After we hounded them to make good on their promise to compensate us for the money that their delays, incompetence, and dishonesty cost us, they finally agreed ONLY if we signed a gag order promising never to tell anyone about it AND agreed not to hold them responsible for any future problems that might result from them taking over 8 months to activate our panels. Get solar, but DO NOT use Suntuity. Totally not worth the hassle.

I originally signed a contract with Project Solar/Suntuity on July 12th, 2022. Due to issues between Suntuity/Project Solar I had to resign/redo the contract 4 times, before they got the correct contract version over to me to sign on 10/12/22. From that point it took another 2 months to have the system designed and installed. Suntuity tried to substitute different lower quality solar panels during the design phase. Original installation was scheduled for 12/7 & 12/8, however due to scheduling issues, The install did not start until 12/19 and finished 12/20. Electrician assigned to install did not take off shoes when entering the house (it was raining outside) and muddied up the main floor and basement flooring. Electrician also left trash/conduit from installation all over the yard. Suntuity then took 2 months to schedule the home inspection on 2/7/23, which they failed miserably. They were then back on 2/10/23 and spent 3-4 hours fixing the mistakes from the previous install. Now, one would think their would be some type of urgency to get the panels re-inspected, however despite weekly follow-ups, I was just reached today 3/15/23 to schedule the reinspection for 4/4/23. From my understanding, it will be another 10-20 days from that reinspection before the utility will give approval and the system will be operating. That will take the entire process into May 2023. 10 months to install solar, very poor communication, poor workmanship, poor customer service, and a complete lack of any urgency. I would give "0" stars if I had the option. There has literally been nothing about this process that has gone well from start to finish. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST !! We unfortunately did not and we were stuck in the end. Customer service is almost non existent, nobody knows anything and when they say they are going to "look into your information and call you back" don't wait by your phone because you won't receive a call back. There's never a supervisor available to talk to or to call you back this has been a complete NIGHTMARE. we started the install in April of 2021 and just now went live with over 15 service calls later. Don't trust this company. THIS WAS OUR MISTAKE AND IT HAS BEEN THE WORST DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CROOKED! I had multiple issues with this company over the past 5 months. First of all, we met with Craig Dotoli our solar salesman on June 20. He explained to us that it was approved for both of our trees to come down and 17 solar panels to be installed. Additionally, he explained to us that when they come to do the installation of our solar panels system they would upgrade the electric at no additional cost to us. We were told that the installation would be completed by the beginning of August. On June 22, the inspector came out to inspect our roof etc. We were approved to move forward, but the inspector explained that they may need to add joists to the roof inside the attic to support the solar panels. He marked the trees to be removed with orange spray paint. Once approved, we had our roof cleaned professionally and had to pay extra for them to come out on a weekend because they were booked all week. Two weeks later, on July 3, we received a cancellation letter from Sunnova explaining that they are moving forward with our cancellation request, which was never requested. After waiting two weeks, we finally received the approval to go forward with our solar panels. I'm not sure what happened in those two weeks, but we didn't question it because we were back on track, and the cancellation was rescinded. A month later, my husband called Craig to ask when we were going to have our solar installed, and he was told that the trees would be removed in the next two weeks. Those two weeks came, and we heard nothing. My husband contacted Craig again about when we were scheduled for our solar installation. Craig responded, saying that we now need a new roof and we have to pay some money out of pocket. Nothing changed over the past two months to our house with the exception of the roof being cleaned. There was never another inspection for that judgement. Craig explained to my husband that he was going to "see what he could do" to get the roof covered in our installation. The next week, my husband received a phone call, asking what color we wanted for our roof. He asked if it was covered and was told that it was, and they would be coming in two weeks on Friday, September 18 to tear off the old roof and install the new roof. It would be completed in one day. The day before the installation was supposed to happen, my husband was informed that someone needed to be there for the installation. He took the day off from work to be home for it, without pay because he did not give notice of the day off. On Thursday, September 17, the materials and a dumpster were dropped off in our driveway. On Friday, when the roof was supposed to be installed, no one showed up. My husband called that afternoon and asked why they didn't show up. He was told that someone would get back to him that day. No one called him. On Monday, he called again and was told the same thing. On Tuesday afternoon he called and demanded to speak with someone. He was told that they were unsure why they didn't show up. On Wednesday, he received a phone call from our salesman Craig, explaining that we now had to pay for the entire roof installation. A week after our roof was supposed to be installed, we were informed that we owed $10,000 the next day for the new roof to be scheduled to be installed again. This is a despicable way to do business. Now, we do not have solar, but we do have two trees that are now marked with orange oil based paint. It looks horrible and will never come off the trees. The company now has refused to return my phone calls. This is not what we envisioned after meeting and signing a contract with the company. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

We had a very good experience with Suntuity. We had one issue where I discussed with the guy how the generator would look and he told me it would be installed on a concrete pad much like outside air conditioning units. The contract, when he sent it said a gravel pad, a gravel pad is just a pile of rocks, and I didn't catch that. He may not have actually said concrete, he might have said it will look just like your air conditioner. I didn't make the connection. They installed it, it was a multi-step process and it was on a pile of gravel and the gravel started going into the lawn and I was extremely unhappy because it wasn't what I thought it was going to be, so they offered me two alternatives for free they would install some railroad ties to contain the rock, the railroad ties would be around the generator to contain the rocks, or an extra $775 they would pick up the unit and take up the gravel and put down a concrete pad and that's what I chose to do. We did get it fixed, and that was a disconnect, but people need to realize that if they want to spend less they can put it on gravel but it's not going to look as good as the concrete pad. They were great to work with and they took care of all the municipal approvals. They were very responsive. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole job done because it's a very complex job with the rewiring and electricity and all. We were really pleased with them, our daughter is actually going to call them because they were really great to work with.
Description of Work: Suntuity installed a cooler generator, a big in-house with a transfer switch so it's an automatic thing.
