L&L Van Lines Moving & Storage

Contacted L&L to move contents of a 12' truck up to 4th floor walk up in Hoboken. Doug told me normally 3 hour minimum but he would do it for 2 hours at $138, total $276. When the five guys finished the job 38 minutes later he presented me a bill for $470. I protested and Doug said I would have to talk to some guy on the phone who would not come down on the price anyway. It must have been my new 65" TV....something he saw there made him feel he had underbid on my move. Huge red letters on the paperwork he makes you sign say "IMPORTANT NOTICE Any estimate of charges previously furnished by the public mover is not a guarantee or representation that the actual charges will not be more or less than the amount of the estimate". Obviously this has been an issue in the past. I didn't have much stuff. I was given an estimate of $276. After 38 minutes of labor I was charged $470. Bottom line-do not trust any estimate you get from this mover.

We had a great experience with L & L movers - could not be happier. They were professional, efficient, careful and really nice. They were mindful of keeping our price as low as possible by being very time efficient. The end price was lower than the original estimate. We are planning another move within the year, and I will not hesitate to use this company again!

Movers were on time. Took great care of all of our belongings and moved us under the estimated time. Would definitely use them again.

I have used L and L for two moves, one in the same building and one across town. They are friendly, professional, provided great service and didn't surprise me with any charges not included in the estimate. Planning to contact them for a cross country move.
