I called R.J. Breitenbach & Son, Inc to come and fix the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. I got an appointment within a couple of days. Bob came on time and quickly went to work. He let me know what the problem was and what needed to be done. He quickly went to work and got the job done in a little over an hour. He removed the toilet's inner plumbing and installed the new parts. He cleaned up after he was done and took all the old parts with him. I am very satisfied with the work and would use R.J. Breitenbach & Son again.

He came early. Very pleasant and he completed all the things I had wrong. He was neat and I believe his price fair.

The individual who performed the work arrived on time, was professional and curtiuos and explained everything he was doing. His estimate was accurate. The quality of his work was excellent

Person on phone was professional and set up appt for within 36 hours of my call. The service person arrived promptly at appointed time and did the work quickly and cleanly. He was extremely courteous during the service visit. I was a bit taken aback by the price; however, the work was done well and so far, no additional or repeat problems.

On July 3rd my water heater rusted out and caused a large leak. I called R J BREITENBACH & SON INC from recommendations on Angie's list and they were very helpful. They told me that the labor charges were double due to the holiday so if I can wait I'd be better off. Then the gentleman on the phone gave me some guidance on how to restore my water in the meantime which I was able to do. When they arrived on the 5th, they determined that the old water heater was under warranty and were able to fix it as well as install extra valves on my second water heater. Overall an excellent experience and although I may have paid a bit more, I'm am very satisfied with the work, professionalism, and honesty.

We never ended up getting an estimate from them and have not heard anything back from them.

I called Drew Breitenbach and left a message explaining that we have a leaking pipe in our basement. He called me back promptly and agreed to meet me at my home during a two hour window the following day to review the work. I waited for the two hours and Drew never showed. He then left me a message explaining that he was running late and asked if he could still come by. I left him a return message saying that yes, he could stop by later in the afternoon, but requested that he call me with an approximate time so that I could step out to run an errand. I never heard back, although I waited the remainder of the day for him to show, which he didn't. I received a call the next day asking if we could reschedule. By then I had already found a different plumber, who showed up exactly when he scheduled to do so. I understand that things happen to cause delays, but I lost an entire afternoon and let my pipe leak for an extra day because I trusted the appointment would be honored, or that I would at least receive a courtesy call explaining that Drew couldn't make an appointment the day we were scheduled to meet. I will not be calling Breitenbach again.

Everything went well. They were prompt, clean, and did excellent work.

He provided a clear explanation of the work and the potential problems he could encounter with the pipes and what might be necessary if it couldnt be done with the snake instrument. He also provided insight into several other associated mechanisms and why or what could require repair. He explained the costs and put in some extra time to check out some other future repairs ,if I elected to do them in the near future and what could happen ,if they were to break down.

Very good people. Very professional and responsive. But very expensive.

The end result of the job was ok. However the price was shocking! I felt like what they charged was over double of what it should have been. However after talking to them about it they refunded a large amount to make it right. The guy that did 80%of the work was fine.

The quality of work was amazing. He did not damage the tile. I would recommend him to others.

My sump pump broke at 10 at night and there was someone there answering calls at night when I called and someone was there early the next morning to fix it before water started building up in my basement...this was VERY helpful.

The job went well. They fixed the problems. The man who came out was a plumber, and his customer service was fine. I didn't do any price shopping.

I called and they sent some right over. They were prompt and got right to work. He got it taken care of, I paid him and that was it. Price was what I expected, it was fair. When I have another plumbing problem I will call them.

He was professional and expedient. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly and spent less than an hour fixing it. He also answered all our questions and made some suggestions for improving our plumbing.

They responded quickly, showed up on time and performed the work that they were contracted to do. They worked in a clean and professional manner. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I got what I paid for. I wish it would have been a hundred dollars less, but don't we all wish that?

We have a Bosch Tankless Water Heater that is just 6 months old and was constantly failing and needed service. We were (and are) without hot water since 6/24 and prior to that the water heater worked inconsistently. I talked to Derek and he was very responsive and promised to be there that day to help me out, but said that this is new technology and he did not have much experience with it. He came to the house as promised and spent an hour and a half looking at it and talking to Bosch technicians about the problem. The conclusion was that the unit was improperly installed by Berretta & Sons in Cresskill (who were called several times about these problems and refused to call back). Berretta charged almost $4,000 to install this unit (3 times the cost of a traditional water heater) and refused to be accountable for their work. Derek was genuinely concerned about our problem and then REFUSED to ACCEPT PAYMENT because he could not help us (we didn't feel that way because he responded and tried to help and was honest about his capabilities and about potential cost if we used him). I noted on the ratings that he was higher priced and was downgraded to a B. Truthfully, there is no substitute for quality and integrity and caring and Derek demonstrated all these qualities in trying to help us and we are very grateful. It may be that he is higher priced but he is honest and that always trumps cost in my book. Quality has a price and I would use them again and wished I used them before. Just a note about Tankless Water Heaters. If you choose to get one, be very careful. These units are highly complicated with a great deal of electronics and only a few people are truly qualified to service them. Most traditional plumbers cannot help you. I had a space situation that called for this solution, but my mistake was not using an authorized Bosch Installer to do this work. i used Berretta because they were doing all my other plumbing work on the renovation I did. They never cautioned me (as Derek did) that they were not experienced. i could have gone through 3 traditional water heaters for the price.

The plumbers there understand our older plumbing system. They are able to figure it out without any problems and are able to do it promptly.

Contacted the company for an estimate and Bob Breitenbach came out the next day to look at the area whre the existing tank water heater was located (small outdoor untility room) and said he would send us the estimate in a couple of days. Estimate arrived 3 days later. Called him with a few questions regarding installation and estimate and agreed to proceed with the Takagi tankless water heater. He told us it would take about a week to week and a half before one of his crew could come out. On 5/5, one of their plumbers, Frank, arrived right on time (9 AM) and started to work. Changing from the old tank water heater to tankless involved changing not only the gas line, but cold & hot water lines and new venting ductwork to now accomodate the small wall hung rectangular tankless water heater. Frank was knowledgeable regarding the change since he's installed a number of the new tankless models before. He throughly explained what he was doing whenever we had any questions and was personable throughout the 7 1/2 hours he spent doing the changeover. The company also had to send over their electrician to move our old utility room electrcal outlet in order to connect the new water heater which has an electronic ignition. Everyone we've dealth with at R J Breitenbach Plumbing has been helpful, couteous, knowledgeable, efficient and confident in their ability to complete the job properly.

VERY HIGH PRICES!!!! Double than most other plumbers.

They were professional and timely. I would hire them again.
