The employees are good but Kevin L., the owner, not so much! I purchased a $5000 pool cover from him 3 years ago and he advised me to buy a pool cover pump for another $260. The pump had failed the first two seasons but at each pool opening, they fixed it and got it to work. The third year, it failed again. I told Steve, the employee, that I didnt think it was right to keep fixing it, so he took the pump with him and said he would talk to Kevin about getting me a new pump. A few days later, I got an email from Kevin advising me that I could &buy& another pump. Despite having emails documenting that the pump never worked correctly, he would not budge. Rather than fight, we agreed he would return my defective pump and we would part ways as gentlemen. After a few weeks passed, I still did not receive my pump. After another month, they finally told me that they had lost my pump. At that point, I asked for half of my money back or a new pump. Kevin refused once again, but said he would give me a used pump in working condition. In an effort to resolve this, I agreed. However, once I received the used pump, it looked like it had been used commercially in a mud pit and the wire was cut through to the copper. (See photos). When I brought this to Kevin's attention, he said he would provide me with another used pump and whenever I come across one". That was back in July, it is now November, and I still do not have a working pump. The good news is I used a new company and they lived up to their name. They closed my pool this season for a price cheaper than SR and I received hassle free great service. They did not nickle and dime me.... just one price! PS... I went on line to buy the same pool cover pump as S&Rs and it was only $130 (not $260). Buyer beware!!!

We were under a lot of stress due to a family death. Simultaneously, in the middle of a heat wave, the pool pump died. S&R were the only people to respond and they did consider my awful family situation. The new pump was installed and they recommended another 1/2 horsepower which had an enormous advantage over the old pump. I saw a leak around a connection a few days after S&R left, photographed it and asked them to come back - which they did. The leak was a different event altogether but they repaired it at no charge. Where do you get service like that these days! I am sharing my gratitude with you.

Ours is an old 24 x 40 ft pool with concrete strps at one end: not your conventional pool, Kevin did a terrific job measuring it, the liner was well made, and his team installed it very well. A big storm was coming when it was fill to an 8 in level with water, and keving alerted us promptly to get more water in so that the line wouldn't float. He really pays attention and is easy to get in contact with and to talk with.

Our home project for 2019 included a major pool renovation. Our pool was approaching 20 years old and needed a new liner, Kooldeck, and light. We solicited several bids and chose S&R Pool and Spa after we determined they proposed the best value (price and all considerations) for our project. We just completed this project last week. I rarely write reviews but I depend on them as many of you do and need to state for the record the high quality of work done by Kevin, the owner, and his team. Everyone did an excellent job, starting with Kevins meticulous planning, all members of his direct team including the front office, and subcontractors. All were exceptional, the craftsmanship and execution superb and truly conducted in the spirit of their tagline *We build relationships.* A rarity in this day and age. From our experience, you can hire S&R without reservation. We are looking forward to enjoying our *new* backyard this summer. BR, Vince N.

These guys are great! So refreshing to find someone that is knowledgeable and honest. Initially spoke with Kevin who asked me to send photos of my pool issues. He diagnosed over the phone & sent me 3 options of how to fix the problem. Crew was here in a day to fix & my pool looks better than it has in years. Also hired them as a weekly valet service. I found them to be a bit expensive. I have a new cover and water bags but the cover is not tied to anything, even though there's loops on the cover to attach it to secure it. I also purchased a pump that I have to drag around to keep the water off. I'm sure there's a more efficient way to cover my pool. I had someone else to come out and they say that I was overcharged for the work that was done.

Experienced professionals gave me good advice and provided good quality of work in a timely manner.

I would't recommend using this company their service was horrible. For first time pool owner they were no help, the was just interested in just taking my money.

They were extremely responsive and I appreciate the fact that they honored their time commitment - they arrived when they were scheduled to arrive.

I hired to fix the pool backwash drain, they charged $850 to dig and lay a new pipe out to the road. After 3 days the pipe was visible and they fixed after lot of back and forth.

Had wrinkles in shallow end of pool liner. They drained entire pool then allegedly fixed those wrinkles. refilled pool and there are still wrinkles in shallow end and now they are also in deep end. I was charged $900. S&R said they would send a diver to rectify problem but it's been two weeks and they have not showed up. This was a waste of money including the water bill.

Very responsive. I didn't expect the owner to be calling me back with a call to make sure that everything went well.

I have had S&R Pools service my pool for many years now and they are fabulous. They come when they say they are going to come, they do what they say they are going to do and they charge me what they say they were going to charge me. They replaced my liner this year and what a wonderful experience. Everything went as planned. Kevin the owner came out, accessed the job, sent the estimate quickly, and then measured the liner after I awarded S&R Pools the job, the liner was then installed and it looks gorgeous! Kevin was very understanding as he appreciated how upset I was with needing a new liner due to a storm damaging it. He also recommended a few things that should also be done, without any sale pitches or pressure. In addition, he took the time to answer many of my questions. I would recommend them to anyone. I even put their sign in my yard for others to have the experience I have had with a reputable company, I know from experience with dealing with another pool company in my early years of pool ownership it was not at all pleasant, but S&R makes it pleasant. They do build relationships, not just pools The owner as well as those who work at this company get to know and understand their customers. They are not the cheapest in the business but they are best. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

S&R Pool did an excellent job on the renovation of my 25+ year old pool! Very professional in workmanship - the crews came on time, completed the project quickly and left the area spotless. Most noteworthy was the communication for Kevin (the owner) who kept us informed on the status of the project via timely emails. All scope changes were documented and the whole process was very straightforward. The crews also were very responsive to any questions and thoughtful - suggesting where to move my car, for example to get it out of the way of potential plaster dust. I highly recommend S&R and found them to be among the best of any and all types of contractors that have worked at my home. The pool looks great! John K.-Warren NJ
