Prompt and thorough

Getting my house ready to list. Fred engaged in identifying potential issues, deciding on the best way to address them, and did great work to resolve them.

No attention to detail. We were told all edges would be taped and they were not, we were told we would get a receipt for all supplies purchased and we did not, deck screws were installed so tightly it created an extremely sharp raised area that we had to sand, good boards were damaged when removing old boards, cigarette butts were left on the dry grass and mulch, when new boards were installed there were gaps and screws were installed randomly not matching what was there. When we discussed this with the contractor he immediately started to yell and became confrontational. A slight discount was provided.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave a free estimate up front and the final cost was very similar. Extremely satisfied with the work.

Fred power washed, repaired, and re-stained my deck. We got a little delayed due to weather and unavailability of wood due to COVID but Fred was very communicative and completed the job as quickly as possible. The deck looks great!

Hired to power wash and stain ~20year old Ipe deck. Did a very good job at a good price. Fred was very communicative throughout the process. We may have made a bad call with respect to picking dates to complete work, based on temperature and rain, but that is as much on us as Fred. There is a lot of variation in the coloration of boards so we'll see in time. I'd definitely consider him for future projects.

I hired Mr. Gruber to work at my 93 year old Moms house, he was patient and kind to her as well as did an excellent job on power washing part of the house, and deck, and staining the deck.
