Great servive

I hired Gruber to cut down the doors in our newly carpeted upstairs. He was prompt and quick on getting in touch and providing a quote and quick turnaround. His prices seem like they are on the high side compared to other people I've spoken to, but he had good reviews, so I wanted to go with him for speed and quality. However, he came, set up, and cut the first door down and left a decent sized scratch and some marring on the paint on the door where his circular saw scraped along the door. At first he claimed it was just a mark which could be wiped off, but it clearly was not. I didn't feel comfortable with him continuing the project at that point, but he still wanted to be paid for the partial, bad job he had done. Afterwards, I looked online at how to cut down doors and everyone suggests either using masking tape or some other method to protect the door where the saw will touch it (and to prevent chips, which he told me were an inevitable consequence of this work). Not sure if Gruber had done this type of work before or not, but in retrospect it seems obvious that this should have been done.

Fred is highly recommended. Very punctual and did a great job. An honest guy that goes above and beyond to do the job correctly. Would definitely use him again....
