 + 1 moreThe two young men who worked for us power-washed the first day and came back the second day to seal. They were prompt, personable, attentive and responsive. They are both personally related to Bruce Gray, the business owner, and take pride in their work. The only reason I gave a B for quality is due to my misunderstanding that the semi-transparent stain would be virtually invisible. I expected to have the worn areas darkened to match the rest of the earlier stain. This was not the case. However the wood is well protected and sheds water as it should.
Description of Work: Our 20 x 10 ft wood deck with railings was washed and sealed with a transparent stain-sealant.

Description of Work: Bruce Gray was very responsive to my phone calls and set up an appt. to assess my needs within a weeks time. He explained the work that was necessary and quoted me a fair price. There are other deck services that charge less money but you will not receive the same level of attention that Gray's Deck service provided. They applied a cleanser and pressure cleaned the deck, down to the bare wood, hammered any loose nails, sanded, and hand-applied two layers of stain sealant. The deck looks brand new. I strongly recommend Gray's deck service for all your deck needs.

Description of Work: This owner responded to my call right away and came to give an estimate very soon after. He was courteous and made a nice appearance. His estimate was at least $1500.00 more than the next lower one for the same services, so I did not choose him.

 + 0 moreNext week I'll finish my comments after the deck is stained. UPDATED ON 04/23/2012: The deck turned out beautifully!
Description of Work: Bruce Gray power washed my entire house today, and cleaned the deck. Next week he will stain the deck. I used him last year to finish my deck. I had someone under contract but he was incompetent. Was referred to Bruce by my landscaper, and true to his recommendation, Gray's Deck service was exceptional. I have had my deck done before but never like this. He explained all the pros/cons of his process, was expert at dealing with cedar decks, (I did a lot of web research on what to do/not do with cedar) and gave me a detailed estimate which he met. I also wanted a custom color which was a blend of two colors, and he matched it perfectly. He even gave me a discount on the material since he had one color already. Who does this? Bruce Gray is honest, fair, and an expert at decks and power washing. I recommended him to all my neighbors who have moss covering the outside. I highly recommend him, without reservations! UPDATED ON 04/23/2012: This is the second part of my first review of Gray's deck service. He completed the staining of my cedar deck. They moved the furniture off the deck, stained it, and completed the job in less than a day. Great job!

 + -1 moreI had the entire house power washed and the patio. It was a positive experience. The guy was polite and he came in reasonable time. He gave me a reasonable estimate and he didn't add anything on. It cost exactly what he estimated it would cost. He did a good job and places where he wasn't able to get things completely clean, he called and explained why. They were some places where it just couldn't be cleaned and I trusted him on that. He was very straight forward about it. He told me in advance that some of the stains might not come off completely. He was very straight forward.
Description of Work: I used the service of Gary's Deck Services Inc for power washing about two weeks ago.
