They are excellent. They always did good work. I really felt that they were honest. They would explain what the problem was. They always showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves. We were having a problem with out drinking water and they dropped everything to come and fix the problem. We needed to have the problem fixed and they were very accommodating. I never felt like I was taken advantage of by them. I was always very happy with their service.

To be honest, I used him so long ago that I don't remember all the details. What I do remember is two specific experiences with him. Once for a really big job - to relace our water main. That job went well. He was very professional. He handled permits and inspection and dug a very neat trench... very good experience. We haven't had any issues wuth our water since. He and his then partner did a very good job. But later I found out I had overpaid. Not by a whole lot, but enough to raise my eyebrow. However, because he did a good job, I then called him for some smaller work. That's where the bad marks come in. He charged me by the hour for the replacement of a faucet and some old pipes but then he disappeared for over an hour because he said he needed to go to Home Depot - which is 10 minutes away - then he charged me for that time. Then he also tried to charge me for coming back to fix a pipe he put in that leaked a couple weeks later. I was angry he tried to pull that and I spoke up so then he dropped it but it left me not wanting to ask him back. So this is a mixed bag.

This was a install job for a purchase at Sears in Paramus, NJ. Installation was inclusive in the total cost, so I am estimating the cost above. The installers were prompt, courteous and done very quickly. The plumber gave me a very thorough briefing on how best to operate the new machine efficiently and keep it clean. Their clean-up job was top-notch as well.

We had our main sewer line back up, and Rob and his partner promptly came and starting working on a problem late in the day that ended up being a two-day job. However they were able to resolve it the second day and we haven't had a problem with the line since. We have used Rob on a number of occasions at home and at the church where I work as well. They always do things promptly and come in at budget.

Job took about 2 hours. They also suggested and implemented a better solution than was started by another plumber who abandoned the job, showing actual concern for doing it the right way.

He got my call and set a time to come to make an estimate. He got here on time, and then he took a look at my water heater that was leaking badly. I had been resetting it, but I needed a replacement soon because I was going to have out of town visitors. He gave me a fair estimate. The same estimate I got from Lowes without the inconvenience of going to the store, choosing one, scheduling the replace appointment, etc. He installed it next week with a brand new one. He was very professional, his fees are fair, and did it promptly

They were very effective. They were very nice and responsive. They were very accomodating.

Overall - I was very happy with the service. They were very prompt, timely and professional. Robert's Plumbing is one of the few contractors in the area that have experience installing Base Pumps, so I felt confident that they would install it correctly. After installation, I did notice that the kit that Base Pump delivered didn't include the right valve (not the plumber's fault), so Robert came back a second time and just charged for the valve (no labor). Great experience.

Robert and his business associate Keith, showed up at our house at the appointed time to give us an estimate for all the work we wanted done (items 1-6 as listed above). His initial estimate was $1200 for all of the above 6 items and he said he could finish all the work in one day. His behavior was very nice at this point. He wrote down a couple of suggestions on the items we had to buy: (a) that the vanity for the master bath should not exceed 60 inches (since the total available space is 60.5 inches). He also recommended particular stores for the vanity and the toilets (and the preferred toilet brand). We went with his recommendations for the toilet and bought the one that he had specified, from the store that he had specified. For the vanity, we checked out his recommended stores and they were far too expensive for us (about $4000 for a 5-ft vanity). We ended up getting a very nice 5 ft. vanity from Lowe's for $2200. We also bought the toilet gut parts. After all the parts were purchased we called Robert and set up a date for him to come in to finish all the work, which was Dec 12, 2011. Robert agreed to meet my husband at Lowe's on Dec 12, 2011, at 9:30 am, to pick up the vanity and proceed to our house to work on the job. Robert and his associate showed up late at Lowe's and at this point his and his associate's behavior turned poor. They started to delay at this point and they acted like they could not understand my husband's Indian accent and were very condescending. We have been in the U.S. for 22 years, and speak very fluent English. He seemed to have no trouble understanding us on the first time we met him. He got upset that we got our vanity from Lowe's, and he claimed he told us to by a 60.5 inch vanity. However, on his estimate statement, he wrote 5ft for the vanity. Finally after much delay, they picked up the vanityand got to our home and left for lunch immediately. They returned an hour later and started working on the project from 1 pm. They did not complete all of the jobs on Dec 12, 2011. They did 3 out of the 4 drywall patches for the ceiling. The 4th watermark was not patched. Instead they just painted over it and the watermark is still there. They completed the toilet gut work and part of the vanity installment on Dec 12th. They took another break in the afternoon, and by 5 pm all the jobs were not done. He set up a second appointment to come in on Dec 15, 2011, to complete the remainder of the work. That day he finished the work in the master bath. The sump pump project was a big disappointment. We wanted to install a second sump pump, because we got flooded during hurricane Irene. Robert did not install the second sump pump in the pit, instead he removed the original one (which is in a working condition) and put in the new sump pump. He said he could not put in the second pump in the same pit, but we would have to pay him additional $900 to dig the second pit. We are very upset that he mislead us about the sump pump on the original estimate he gave us. He should have taken a look at the pit we had, and should have told us that we need a new pit. We feel we have been cheated on the sump pump work, because a single pump will not serve our purpose, and we already had a working sump pump. So he did nothing to improve our potential flooding situation. He also did not do the chimney work at all, but instead recommended a roofer. The roofer came out and gave us an estimate of $400. On Dec 15, 2011, Robert charged us $1300 for the work. Since Robert did not complete all the projects, I think a fair charge for the work that he did complete is $800 and we should be refunded $500. We hired his recommended roofer and paid this person an additional $400 to complete the chimney work.

After contacting several plumbers that did not want to take on the job due to the need to dig a hole at the street, Robert was was able to assess the problem and come up with a timely and reasonable solution that worked for me. He showed up at the job as scheduled and got the work done on time.

They were on time and finished the work in less than an hour. A pipe broke in the process but they came back and fixed it.

We called them and they responded immediately. We told them what the problem was. They set up an appointment date and time. The service person came on time and did the job well. The price was what we expected it to be. Based on our experience, we have now hired them to do a much larger job. Once that job is completed, I'll give a report on it as well. I have recommended Robert's Plumbing and Heating to all of our neighbors.

It went quite well, and was done quickly and efficiently. I called Robert's plumbing, and scheduled for them to come to my home, after explaining the problem. They were punctual, and professional. It is a small plumbing operation comprised of Robert and Keith, which I prefer, because I like to support small businesses within my area. After repairs were completed, I asked them about future maintainance of my heating system, and they were extremely informative. I will be calling them again to schedule some maintenance work in the summer.

They are mostly okay. They are also going to install some windows for us next week. For the most part they do okay work. It seemed like a fairly good job. There were a few things that could have been better. But they are good enough we are having them come back for other work. Occasionally I feel they are doing things they are not supposed to and find it after the fact. I would like to know what they are doing and why. It is a little bit disquieting. I would recommend them. Robert himself is very responsive. His partner is a little less so. We were waiting on an estimate for windows and it took 3 calls to get the estimate. In general their service is pretty good. We have used them several times because we like them well enough to do so. But every person rates people differently.

I like the fact that they are local and they live in the same town as I do. It’s a small business and he only has one or two employees. He is a veteran plumber with a lot of experinece and knowledge, and he’s willing to share that knowledge with the consumer; I find that very refreshing. As the son of a plumbing and heating contractor, I appreciate that he is knowledgeable and that he doesn’t try to give me the runaround. They are very open and catering to my needs. I chose the company because he really goes the extra mile to make sure you understand what the estimate means. If you have questions or comments, or you want to do something differently, he’s willing to do that as long as it makes sense.

They are OK. They did a decent job and it was not expensive.

Went with somebody else that actually cared enough to call back.

Robert's Plumbing was professional in all aspects. They were great to work with and helpful. We would use them again if needed.

The plumber was really good at giving a bid and I am waiting for a couple of other bids before I make a choice. There was nothing that stood out about him when he came out for the bid. He did the same as the others. He came out and took measurements. He seemed pretty professional. He did a fine job. I think he may not be as well as other established companies. The other companies wear uniforms and use trucks. I think his company is more like a small scale company. I don’t think it really affected his professionalism. If need be, then I would use their services again for a bid.

Robert was prompt to return my calls. He came by the next day when I was available to look at the work and give me an estimate. After waiting for permits, he did the work in one day. Everything went exactly as expected. The installation was done on time and within estimate. All work passed inspection.

I called them at 1:30 on a Thursday and they were there by 2:30 to begin the job. Robert and his partner were punctual and got right on the problems. Since it was late in the day, they came back the next day (Friday) at the promised time and completed the work. Very professional, and they did a good job cleaning up their work.

They were good. There was nothing in particular that stood out; they showed up when they said they were going to and did the work that they said they were going to so I was satisfied with the service. Their price I thought was reasonable.

Rob and his partner arrived on time for the job. He was able to figure out what the water leak issue was right away. He and and his partner got the sink and counter-top replaced and cleanup afterward. Overall a great experience, and I will certainly use them again if I have another plumbing issue.
