after several calls, Mr. Lind returned my call. I described the scope of the projects. He then told me I would be on a lengthy list due to the hurricane damage in the area. He then told me he was probably going to drop all of the other clients because he got an out of state offer that he was considering. Why he had me even go thru the exercise of describing the project, I have no idea. Bad attitude.

He did a very good job and we're going to use him again. He made two visits and two sets of repairs. He does everything well, he's an all around handy man. He does painting, patching, fixes roofs, plugs leaks in sun lights, puts in mail boxes, he's a jack of all trades. We had a problem with raccoons coming under the porch and took care of it to keep them out. He replaced broken tiles and you can't tell what was already there and what he put in. He did a super job. As noted above, Ed is a real "life saver" in an emergency & his work continues to be of the highest quality. We'll certainly continue to hire him to get the work done, on time, at reasonable prices & RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
Description of Work: On January 29, 2012, we purchased a new 4 sectional couch for our living room. It was due to be delivered on 2/2. When we tried to donate our old, 2 piece monster (113" & 92" size) to several charities, we were shocked to find out that they were very picky on what they would take & how long it would take for them to get it. In desperation, we contacted Ed Lind & he agreed to pick it up the day before delivery. Sure enough, as he promised, Ed arrived with a buddy on 2/1 & got it out, just in the nick of time! The new 4 piece sectional arrived on 2/2 & Ed started on another group of projects. He refinished & repainted the living room wall behind the sectional, updated the phone wiring in several rooms & tiled the ceilings above the shower-tub units in 2 bathrooms. All the work was done by 2/12, and we were again greatly pleased by his service. Our neighbors across the street were so impressed by Ed's work on our house that they hired him to re-screen & refurbish their sun porch, which he completed in April, 2012. We have another list of projects for Ed to do in May and we're certain he'll provide us with the same excellent service as in the past!

He is very good and we got him through a friend of ours. In fact, we are going to have him come out this spring because there are a few things that he has to clear up that has developed because of the rough weather. He has done all the work effectively and was very reasonable. A couple of years ago, we bought a computer center and a desk for our daughter. We called Ed to ask him if he could go down to the place where the desk was to pick it up and to deliver it. He then got a couple of his buddies and he went down there. I met him down there and I paid for it. He brought it back and hauled it into the house and set it up. The cost was $200 and it was worth every penny because it was like trying to move the Taj Mahal. So, that was the most outstanding thing. He has done a lot of repair work. He does any kind of job that we can’t handle. I have some woodwork that has to be replaced and is rotted out from the bad winter. So, we are going to have him come and replace that. We are also making up a list of some other things that my wife and I noticed around the house that he is going to have to do. He knows what he is doing and he does it right. He is also cost effective and he is available as well. His responsiveness is a problem sometimes. He has a full time job and you have to sort of make an appointment in the evenings or during the weekends for him to come and do the work. He comes when he says he is coming.
Description of Work: Edward Lind W does skilled home repairs. He does basically handyman type work around the house. He fixed some shingles on our roof when there was a leak over our sunroom probably in September or October of last year. He also noticed some other older shingles that had to be replaced and he took care of that. Ed continues to do work around our house. We've had him in several times since our 10/10 report & each time he's performed magnificently. On his last visit , he replaced an outside porch mailbox, replaced broken kitchen tiles on the floor & on the wall near the sink, replaced a guest room back screen door pneumatic pump & hung a cork strip for the calendar in our kitchen. In addition, he painted a section of our kitchen ceiling between 2 beams, after patching some holes left over from our moving the overhead light. This was tricky since he had to match the tint in the other sections so that the new work would bend in. Well, he got it done & you can't tell it apart from the other sections! In addition, Ed is a very neat painter & didn't get a drip of paint on the floor. We plan to hire Ed again for some outdoor work in September. Planned work includes adding a new concrete footing for our tilting front yard mail box, rebuilding & reenforcing the critter guard mesh around the back of our bottom deck, sealing a leak in a sunlight in our sunroom, replacing any loose roof shingles on the roof from the hurricane and, largest of all, replacing the rotting posts & possibly the railings, on the front porch. When's he done we'll submit a new report, but we're confident that he'll do a most excellent job!
