It didn't. I spoke to Mr. Meny Sunday 6/25/17 & told him what I needed. He gave me a price, sight unseen and said he couldn't get to it until Thursday 6/29. I said OK but, I would like to see if I could get someone to do the repair sooner & would get back to him. I called him the next day (Mon. 6/26) and left a message to say I decided to have him do the job on Thursday as he said he could. I asked that he call me back to confirm and I never heard back from him. His business is actually one block over from my home ! I have no idea what the quality of his work is (& won't ever find out) because of this first, UNPROFESSIONAL behavior. Sadly, he's not unusual in the contractor profession, but that first step of being professional and at least getting back to a prospective customer is very telling and my main initial criteria in judging the contractor. For Angie's List to have a contractor with this kind of behavior on their 'list', makes me concerned about them as well.

He was very professional, stuck to his time frame, and estimate of work done. I had no surprises and everything was left neat and orderly with no clean up by me.

We’ve worked with Jay many times over the past 20 years. He is extremely honest, reliable, and very, very neat. When he leaves our house we never know he was there beyond the great work completed. He shows up on time and puts in a full day’s work. He doesn’t milk out the clock with breaks.
