Description of Work: I have so many concerns... This will be long so only read it you want the details on my experience. So I will start with the salesman. Just know this was my experience but I would not be surprised if this was universal. Tim B the salesman promised me they would be in charge (you see I told him I was tired of having to direct and coordinate jobs). Tim said that they would do that coordinating and that I wouldn't be needed for anything. I would get what I wanted, but he wasn't clear enough on almost everything he said. That was when the troubles began. I trusted him and I even told him that I've had other contractors that sell me the moon then I never see the seller again. He promised me he would not leave and would even return for the closing meeting. Of course that was the last time I saw him despite his promise. And the closing meeting was just Rob and we didn't do a proper closing like going thru a punch list or something similar. He came to pick up more money. |I was quoted $8k and for a person with a tight budget this was a lot for us but we were hopeful. We went to the kitchen design company Tim recommended and ordered what we wanted. Only later to find out that the company they recommended did not do installations so Rob actually charged us extra for this! And when I expressed my concern Rob said that we could've gone to any business not just who they recommend. Really? that was just Amazing! - Remember I said that Tim promised me a lot but was vague on all of it. So I was charged additional because I wanted 4 more recessed lights and 3 pin lights over the sink instead of just one. For Rob it didn't matter that I told Tim exactly what I wanted. The other additional expenses were related to the installation of laminate flooring as the one they removed could not be laid back. That I understand. In the end I paid what I needed to pay to get them out of my life. Rob was supposed to also return (he promised he would) to install an extension cord in my island drawer but he did not. I waited a month and then I texted him over a week ago to find out if he will return to install that. After 2 texts he hasn't answered so I assume the answer is no. I waited and waited for his reply before posting my experiences with this company on Angie's List. Am I happy with the end result? Absolutely! It's beautiful. But I owe that to the team they subcontracted with. I was quoted $8k and then was charge an additional $4k+ and strangely Rob asked me not to make the check out to RWS, the company as I had all the other checks. Rob asked me to make the check out only to his name. It's his company but that was highly unusual. I can guess why he asked me to do that but I won't share it here as it would just be guessing and outside of my direct experiences. |I wanted to hire a very high end company that would be in charge of every aspect. Tim led me to believe that they met my criteria. But in the end Tim was gone and the subcontractors kept asking me for input so much so that they wven wanted me to interface between them and Rob! Concerning! So, while the job was beautiful, that end result is not the culmination of a wonderful and professional experience. So sadly, I will look elsewhere next time.

Description of Work: Carpentry work

Description of Work: Just an estimate at this point but we are looking for other quotes and will make a decision soon. We are gutting 2 bathrooms and making a slight layout change to accommodate a larger master bath.

Description of Work: Came to my home to review the work to be done. Said he would email an estimate/proposal. Never heard from him again.

Description of Work: We have only just begun! Permits just applied for. Can't really rate yet, but if the future is anything like our dealings so far I expect A's across the board

Description of Work: I had an extension put on my house. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and living room. The framers were fantastic. The only problem I really had was it was suppose to be done by Thanksgiving and it still is not done. They show up, do some work and do not come back for days or weeks. He also did not give me a list of what each thing cost.

Description of Work: I used RWS Homes LLC in December for redoing my laundry room.
