He was absolutely fabulous. It was an exceptionally good price. He was really good. He did everything absolutely perfectly. He went out and bought all the hardware for the doors and replaced them. He was out there working hard by himself. I would call him in future to maintain my deck.

It went great. At first we kept missing each other via phone calls but when we finally got to talk he came out that night to give us an estimate. He left and within a couple of days (which he said it would be a couple of days) he emailed us the proposal. This was the second estimate we got and he was a little lower then another contractor and even said he could build us a gate to keep the dogs on the deck. He was honest about the time frame. I've had other contractors say they could come sooner and when the date came they would push it out farther. Kirk told us in June when he gave us the estimate that he wouldn't be able to do the work until August. Loved his honesty. So we decided to wait and go with him because he seemed like a reliable person and the price was fair. When he arrived in August he had a helper with him. Both were very respectful. Once he started he came everyday until it was finished. Again, I've had other contractors start a job then leave and come back days or weeks later. It took 3 days to pull and replace boards, sand down everything, build and hang the gate and finally stain everything. I would definitely recommend Kirk and use him again myself.

I contacted Kirk about redoing my neighbor?s deck and my deck. He contacted me the same day and came out the next day to give us an estimate. We engaged him. He is very professional and knows what he is doing. He prepped the decks, nailing down all popped nails, sanded and power washed the decks. He left paint samples and we selected a color. He recommended that we go with a different color. I am so glad we went with his recommendation; I would not have like the color we had originally picked out. I am planning on have the interior of my house painted. I told Kirk I will give him a call when I am ready. I would recommend using Deck Wrangler. You won?t be disappointed.

We are very happy with the job that Deck Wrangler did. Kirk was very professional and knows his business. They took their time to make sure that the deck was prepped properly before painting it and it shows; the deck looks beautiful. The final cost was a about $65 more than the estimate because we had them paint a contrast color on the top rail in between the posts, but it was worth it. We would definitely recommend using Deck Wrangler and would consider them for indoor painting as well, which they provide in the winter months.

Firstly, Kirk replied to my call within 24 hours. He came out for an estimate within the next day. He emailed me a clear and complete quotation. When we agreed to a price on the deck washing he accommodated my needs with regards to the timing of the job. The Deck, which is Trex and had not been washed since I installed it, looks like new. I can not even believe how good it looks. The crew was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend Kirk and his team as honest and competent professionals.

Kirk and his assistant did a very good job! I like that he is extremely responsive and aims to please! He returned my calls quickly, emailed quote quickly, arrived on time for estimate and then to do the work, and did the job efficiently and effectively. He just seems like a very nice guy who is easy to get along with - even for a meticulous perfectionist. I will definitely have him here next year to do the job again before the season begins. I emailed Kirk in late October 2013 to get an estimate. He responded right away and setup a time to look at the house and provide an estimate. He emailed me the estimate a few days later. Estimate was $300 plus tax. I scheduled the work for later that same week. Kirk was very professional and did an awesome job. House looks great, but I couldn't believe how much dirt came off the sidewalks, steps and patio. They look so fresh. I will definitely use Kirk again probably next year.

We originally contracted with The Deck Wrangler (Kirk Hoehn) to get a quote for 2 separate tasks -- powerwashing the house and restaining our deck. We also wanted to have all of our existing wooden deck railings & lattice replaced with composite material and needed to have some structural work done underneath the deck. Kirk provided us with a quote for the powerwashing and the staining; however, let us know that the carpentry work on the deck rails etc. was beyond his scope. He recommended another contractor that he said he worked with frequently, and we were so happy that he did because we contacted Terrell Construction on Kirk's recommendation and ended up contracting with them to do that work and they did excellent work. I posted a separate glowing review of them too! So, back in early June, the Deck Wrangler powerwashed our house, deck, shed and all the walks & driveway. He did a beautiful job with that -- everything was clean and nicely detailed and he applied a mildew/mold preventative as well. Great work!! After that was complete, Terrell Construction came to do the carpentry work on the deck in mid-July and coordinated with Kirk to come the stain the deck floor after that work was completed. Kirk did a fantastic job of staining the deck -- he powerwashed the deck, then sanded the entire floor, reset nails that had popped up, and applied 2 coats of Benjamin Moore stain. It looks absolutely beautiful. Many thanks to Kirk for a job well done and for recommending John Terrell & Terrell Construction! We definitely intend to use both of these companies when we have carpentry or painting work in the future.

His service was superb. It was not something the average homeowner with a power washer could have done. My five-year-old terrace looked brand new when he finished.

Superb. Kirk and his two crew members were awesome and extremely meticulous. Kirk was very easy to talk to and kept us informed on the progress of the job from start to finish. He actually spent time hammering in every single nail in the deck, talk about detail-oriented! He also treated the outside of the lattice and roof shingles of the gazebo. The extra labor at the end replacing additional rotted boards added up quickly, but my deck has been completely restored and looks incredible. I also received another estimate prior to the work and the Wrangler was much more reasonable. Overall, I am extremely happy with the finished work and Kirk was a pleasure to work with.

The job went very well. Kirk and his crew are professionals in every sense of the word. He is prompt to pick up his phone, or call back if a message is left. The crew were very professional in their behavior and work ethic. He/they took care of trimming some bushes around the deck (that had grown more than normal because of the hot and wet weather) before the railing was painted. Prior to the work, the covered my bushes around the deck to protect them. Kirk carefully listened to our questions and helped us select the color stain. They were punctual, through, neat and professional. The job they did for us exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them.

The whole job went very well, Kirk and his crew were prompt and thorough, provided high quality workmanship, protected the surrounding area, cleaned up after the job, and were flexible about some minor install changes. We were very pleased with the results. Interestingly, Kirk had refurbished our mahogany desk about 4 years prior. We liked his work then, but couldn't find his number when our deck needed maintenance again. So when we were looking for estimates and found his name on Angie's List, we were very pleased to be in contact with him again for this project. Even though we had used him before, we still evaluated his estimate against the others. He had the best price and offered all of the services we were interested in. We will definitely use him in about 2 years to maintain our deck so it does not involve as extensive repair as it did this time.

Kirk has virtually painted our entire house inside and outside. He is an outstanding crafts person who takes pride in his work and does things one way - the correct way with no shortcuts. He has painted the outside trim with which we were pleased. He also removed wallpaper throughout the house and prepped the walls before painting and they are flawless. Most recently he removed the wallpaper in the kitchen and prepared the walls for painting. He also painted the kitchen cabinets and we are delighted. He and his crew are punctual, efficient, neat and carefully clean-up before leaving for the day. We will definitely use Deck Wrangler again.

My wood deck had become very weathered and dirty from the nearby trees since I had not had it cleaned for several years. One board had a rotted edge as well. The owner of the company along with one helper performed the work over three half- days. The first day included spraying on a cleaner. power washing, applying a brightener, rinsing. The weather was extremely hot on the second day when they were repairing the deck (popped nails, loose verticals), replacing the rotted board, and sanding the deck as necessary. I was given color samples to choose from. On the third day, the stain was applied manually by brush, not sprayed on. The deck looks great! The work was perfromed professionally and the workers were pleasant and courteous.
