Description of Work: Inspect the outside of the house and basement and gave suggestions.

Description of Work: They waterproofed the foundation on the front and side of my house. I had some leaks in my basement during heavy downpours. Roland Achtau came for the initial inspection that I bought from a deal on Angie's List. He was extremely professional and friendly. He didn't try to oversell the job and he answered my many questions in layman's terms - thank you! The team that came out to do the work, under LuBeth Manzo's competent supervision, were knowledgeable, courteous, professional, neat and on time- big plusses for me! Lu explained every step of the procedure for me. I read on their website that they do masonry work and eboxy floors, so I will definitely be calling them again. A+ for American A-1 !!

Description of Work: I called them for a small repair job related to a prior waterproofing job done by another company many years ago. I need a pipe replaced that was under my front lawn and a new backup batter and to have the existing pumps checked. I was not very impressed with Bob the salesman, he didn't seem that knowledgeable but he was quick to respond, did everything he promised to do and got me a fair quote quickly. I was VERY IMPRESSED with Ronald the forman who did the work with his crew. He was polite, professional, and explained everything in detail to me. He even taught me how to check my pumps quarterly, and other maintenance. He was a delight to work with.

Description of Work: They called me right away (very polite) to make an appointment, which we did. What I wanted was is his opinion of some high huminity in part of my garage.The gentleman who came, checked everything and gave me his opinion.I decided that, accordind his and my thinking to give the situation more time before doing anything.So, in a word, he did what I needed, was punctual, very professional and courteous.Any problem I would call him again.

Description of Work: We always had water in the basement especially after Hurricane Irene.They were always on time and cleaned up after. The job took a week because they had to tear down our finished basement and throw out a lot of material. They even broke up an old Piano for us and took it out of the basement. We had them install a Water Backup system so it cost a little more. Their Sales manager stopped by the day after they finished to make sure everything went well. We just had a 6" rain storm and everything is working well, no more water in the basement.

Description of Work: They waterproofed one wall in my basement. They provided the lowest price, were on time, did the job in the time specified, and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up and left my home in perfect condition. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: A-1 American Waterproofing did a fantastic job waterproofing my large crawl space. Since they completed waterproofing this area we have had many heavy rains, one as recent as two days ago. My son checked out the crawl space yesterday and he (who is in the construction business) said it was bone dry. He was very impressed with the job. Kudos to A-1!

Description of Work: Just hired A-1. Jeff came to the house and we were very pleased with the expierence. Now we will wait two weeks before the job is done. I want and hop to write an excellent report. Stay tuned.................

Description of Work: They were the most knowledgeable and pleasant people. Their pricing was comparable and there were no surprises along the way.They did a terrific job and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
