I explained to Maryan exactly what I wanted done...and I'm very particular with details.  Maryan performed the job in two days and I couldn't be happier!  He showed up when he said he would and worked the entire time.  He was very efficient and thorough!  I'll be using 1 Royal Painting in the future!

They arrived on time,worked hard for the promised 8 hrs. They called me as promised to report they have finished. The house was painted professionally. After work clean up was also neat, no spills, no stains. Very satisfied with the work.

Painters arrived a few minutes early to begin setting up prior to their agreed-upon start time. We had already moved all the furniture, patched the walls, and primed over some pre-existed painted-on "artwork" on one of the walls. The painters got two coats of paint on the walls, painted all the baseboard trim, and even painted the risers and bannister supports on the central staircase between the two rooms.
I should add that we have about two dozen (functional) beams in the ceiling across these two rooms, so if you have ever done your own painting, you know how much "cutting in" that requires to paint. That said, they finished both rooms by 4:30pm, a half hour ahead of schedule. All the edging is nice and crisp.
They did an outstanding job, and we would definitely not hesitate to use them again.

We never hired painters before. We hired ourselves. This year, however, I haven't been getting it done and my other half was too busy despite an impending deadline. So this deal appeared ideal: 2 professionals for a day. We hoped that if we prepared the rooms sufficiently, the Pros could get a lot more done than we could hope to accomplish.

The painters arrived early. I explained my gameplan: priority one a small bedroom. The second priority is the family room. Finally, the hopeful priority three is another small bedroom.

Unfortunately, despite great plans otherwise, all of the furniture had not been removed from priority 2 & 3 rooms. So, much of the day, I managed to barely keep a room ahead. These gentlemen were professionals. They kept focused. They made superb progress.

As I noticed numerous others have discovered, much of the spackling I had done to speed their work along was redone to actually provide a professionally prepared wall.

By the end of the day, two rooms were complete and near perfect. The third was prepared for quicker roller painting the next day. Trim was painted and the new color edging was completed. I had not yet nailed in new floor trim in this room so I had removed it to allow this edging step great latitude.

I did negotiate a good price to have a professional return to complete the third room.

Everything went well and they were always on time and cleaned up the debris during the the process. They asked my opinion many times during the painting time if I was happy with the way things are looking. I would definetly use them again and I would recommend them to friends and family and fellow Angies List customers.

Royal Painting was on-time, very professional and did a great job!!  Deal was for 2 men / 8 hrs and they finished the living room with time to spare and immediately began to paint the foyer.  Can't ask for more than that!!
I would gladly recommend Royal Painting to anyone and will call on them again for when future needs arise.

Maryan and his partner, Ivan,  were prompt, courteous, and professional.  They methodically went about their duties while being certain that they protected furniture, floors, and exposed areas.  The painting, removal of paper, and cleanup were completed in the time frame and to our satisfaction.  I would certainly recommend Royal Painting.

They got all of the wallpaper removed and cleaned up all the mess.

The 2 men arrived on time and worked conscientiously. They were neat and cleaned up well.

Called 1 Royal Painting and Maryan came to look at job and we scheduled time. They arrived on schedule, were clean, courteous and thorough (e.g. removed all doorknobs and hardware prior to painting and replaced afterwards). Cleaned up perfectly after job. I highly recommend 1 Royal Painting. (Worth noting: they also provide exterior pressure wash service which I used and have reviewed separately.)

I had used 1 Royal Painting in the past for interior painting job and they did a great job. I have been looking for someone to pressure wash our 400 sq ft patio which is enclosed by 6 ft tall concrete walls). Our patio is unique in that it is not accessible to the street so that none of the other pressure washer companies I called were interested in doing it. They made it sound very complicated. Add to that we have no outside water source and we live in Hoboken. I had more or less given up hope on ever getting the job done until I met Maryan. He looked at the patio and said they could do it. I was a bit nervous as they had to run a hose connection from my washing machine and I wasn't sure if that would work but it did! In a matter of a couple of hours, 10 years of dirt and grime on the concrete walls and floor were literally washed away. Our patio looks brand new and we could not be happier. I highly recommend 1 Royal Painting!

When I scheduled the appointment, everything went well.  They were responsive.  Unfortunately, Maryan had to cancel due to getting backed up and I needed the work completed by a specific date.

I had misunderstood the ad. This company does take down wall paper and preps walls but does not hang new wall paper.
Staff members were professional and pleasant but could not provide service I needed.

Everything went extremely well.  They were here promptly at 8:00 am.  Did all the prep work on the ceilings and walls and then painted both rooms.  The rooms look immaculate - they did a thoroughly professional job and I am thrilled at the results.
I would definitely recommend Royal Paint to all members.

Miryam and his coworker showed up on time.  They removed most of the wallpaper on the stairway and the first layer of wallpaper in the kitchen and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.  My house is super old and there was multiple layers of wallpaper which could not be removed in the 6 man hours that I paid for.  Further, Miryam did not know the condition of the walls underneath the paper.  So while I'm disappointed that I have to re-wallpaper my kitchen & stairway, I do realize the age and condition of the walls leave me with few options.

Awesome! Very professional, and detail oriented. Made sure the job was done correctly. Cleaned up very well after the job.
Entire job was terrific.

Provider was responsive to initial inquiry when I contacted him to schedule an appointment. The appointment was for several weeks later  at 8 am. I did not receive confirmation from him until late the evening before stating that he lost his planner with all of his scheduling information. Stated he would be there at 8:30 am the next day but arrived about 20 minutes late. He and an assistant worked for about 2 hours removing paper and did a thorough job. However, the deal I purchased on Angie's list was for 2 men for 3 hours of paper removal, wall prep and painting. The walls were so wet that they stated they could not do wall prep or paint the ceiling. I must say that It was a humid day and that could have contributed to the problem. They cleaned up the wallpaper but left other debris on the floor.
I was informed the wall, once dry, needed to be sanded and then painted with 2 coats of primer. They said they could return and do this for $500. at a later date. I pointed out to them that the drywall was in very bad shape with holes bulging, etc. and said perhaps I will just replace the drywall. They cautioned me that if I did that it would be expensive and re-stated their offer of $500 to sand and apply primer at another time. I told them I would think about it and get back to them if I decided to go ahead with using their services again.
They left after after about 2 hours of work. While I am grateful that they did the messy work of removing the wallpaper, I did not feel that the experience was a professional and positive one. Unfortunately, I doubt I would hire them again.

Received an estimate and advice on plaster problems, paint type, color for a potential interior painting job.  Royal was very responsive, coming quickly after my call, answering many questions.  They were  available very quickly to start a job. I even received advice on a problem with exterior paint on aluminum siding.  I am getting other estimates as well.

They removed the same wall paper that was through much of the public areas of the house, foyer, living room, dining room and small half-level stairway off of it, and hallway to original bedrooms, a different wallpaper along the common back wall of the living room and dining room, and still another paper that was in the original hall bath.  They were able to remove the paper which is great, but said it would take a day and a half to remove the residual glue if I wanted to have the option of painting these surfaces, although they did give me an idea of how to do it myself.  Was not able to remove most of the wall paper in the master bedroom.  The aforementioned work took the full time and I only bought one deal.  It was hard for me to gauge how much time it would take to know if I needed one or two deals.  I was able to clear access to the walls of the public areas, except for an upright piano that they helped me pull away from the wall, but the master bedroom had too much stuff in it.  Additionally the paper in the master bedroom would have been more difficult to remove and we had a television, books, and other stuff that shouldn't get wet.  If I can get the master bedroom clear will consider having it removed at that point, but it will take a little bit to accomplish that.

I purchased the coupon for two painters for a day knowing I had more than 1 day of work needed. Maryan gave me a fair price for day 2. These men are the best painters I've ever had in my home. They are meticulous. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

The two men that painted and repaired drywall were very professional and neat.  They cleaned up everything as they went and when they were finished.

Mario called right away after booking on line and scheduled us they arrived and performed the services which was to take the wallpaper down in several rooms.  He gave us an estimate to paint the rooms as well, we just are in the process of obtaining other estimates currently.  Hard workers, and worked nonstop, this was a 6 hr job whatever they could get done in that time and they did get a lot done!!!
