I called several painters and Maryan was the most responsive. He and his team were outstanding! Prompt, professional and very experienced in all alreas of paper removal and painiting. They also cleaned up very well after the job was complete. Maryan also consulted on the color chocies related to natural lighting and tile color. If you are looking for quality of service, I would highly recommend 1 Royal Painitng. I have more wall paper removal and painting that needs to get done, and I will definitiely call Maryann. If there was a higher rating, I would have given this review an A+ in all catagories.

They have been patient. Royal Painters is waiting on me for my Phase I contracting repairs of Hurricane Sandy damages are completed to begin work. I am holding them up with this prepaid Big Deal of $1499 for painting. I trust having this company do my inside first. When I am ready for the outside, I will contact them. They are prompt, honest, skilled and trustworthy.

Mayan and his helper arrived promptly. They were helpful, moving all heavy furniture and covering the surfaces to keep everything clean. They worked hard, very professionally, and did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to anyone and I would certainly call them for another painting job.

I asked Maryan to quote me for additional work beyond the one day Big Deal price. Price was fair and the additional work was done. They were very thorough in fixing drywall before painting. I was happy with the finished results.

Maryan and his colleague were prompt to the appointment. After arriving to the location Maryan wasn't sure that we would be able to do the entire apartment in the 8 hrs allotted on the deal. I was worried that this was going to be a bait and switch where it would be a low initial cost followed by a huge cost to finish the job. Boy was I wrong! Maryan and his colleague were able to finish the entire apartment (1 coat needed). They were even nice enough to offer their van so that I could go buy more paint since more was needed. They continued to work while I got the supplies. These are honest and easy going workers and I would recommend them to anyone.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went well. They were very professional, very good, cleaned up after themselves, and the work that they did was very good.

I got the "Deal" for two interior painters for a day for $549. Maryan gave me an onsite estimate that was perfectly on target. During the painting process I asked for a bit of additional work and he gave me a very fair price for the add-on. The painters did excellent, detailed work and my Virgo side was very impressed, especially with their edges. I have a thing about edges. If there's a wavy line or a speck out of place it drives me nuts. When the job was done, Maryan asked me to go over all of their work while they packed up and point out any flaws. There were two tiny little imperfections and they fixed them promptly and cheerfully. They worked quickly and took only short breaks for lunch or a smoke. I did have a complaint about one of the guys smoking near the front door, so that the smoke was wafting into the house; but the foreman immediately scolded him and it didn't happen again. These guys are a little rough around the edges and can use a little polish, in terms of their professionalism. They showed up a little late (15 minutes at the most) a couple times, and one of the guys disappeared for a few hours to fix his car, so that the work was slightly delayed. Also, the owner requested to be paid in cash, if possible, which makes some people nervous. (Let me just reiterate that he REQUESTED cash but would have accepted another form of payment if necessary. He did not demand it and I was happy to provide it, especially since he agreed to accompany me to the bank so I didn't have to carry around a huge wad like a drug dealer.) I hope that they will start doing written estimates and giving receipts for payment, just to make the company seem more legitimate to prospective (and current) clients. Any new business has some kinks to work out and none of those kinks would prevent me from hiring them again, as their work is unimpeachable and the prices are excellent. They are good guys, honest and hardworking, and an undiscovered Diamond in the Rough on Angie's List; so if you're looking for a painting crew, you better get them now while their prices are still reasonable.

Had taken quotes from 2 different painters offering deals(did not take the deals since wasn't really sure of the hours needed for this paint job) on Angie's list for Northern NJ. Maryan's quote was almost half what the other guy gave me, so he was definitely my choice. This does not mean anyone reading this review should automatically assume Maryan would give you the best price, it only means you need to do your due diligence in shopping around even if they are all highly rated on Angie's list. But in my case, Maryan did give me the best price, and his work was impressive as well. I wiil be seriously considering him for wallpaper removal/painting in my kitchen, currently planned for spring next year. He and his buddy Sergei arrived on time at 8 AM, and finished the work by 4 PM. He knows what he is doing , and is courteous, well mannered and responds promptly to phone calls. Will definitely recommend him to anyone.

Maryan was professional and responsive. The work was done as promised in the time frame we had discussed. I was pleased with the results.

Maryan responded to my e-mails promptly. When I gave him the wrong phone # he was very courteous even though it caused him to have to delay to come and do an estimate. He came and gave an estimate and told us how much he would charge if the job ran over the specified 8 hours and it was a very reasonable price. When I told him the paint brand I was going to use he suggested another brand for the ceiling because it covered better. I decided to go with that brand for the whole job and I am glad I did. Maryan was correct, it covered so much better. The rooms look fabulous. The living room needed 3 coats because of the previous color and there was a lot of cutting in because of all the woodwork. Maryan and his co-worker were diligent and efficient in their painting. They accomplished in 10 hours what it would have taken my husband and I days. They were meticulous in their work and in the clean up. I will have them back and will definitely recommend them. Thanks to Angie's list I will not have to look for a painter again.

Little mix-up on the location...Arrived late but work was done well.

Deal was for one day. We agreed on two days so just doubled price plus supplies. All went well. Two workers were efficient and accomplished the job. Were mindful of sweeping up and taking care on the job.

They were fine. They removed wallpaper where it shouldn’t have been removed and that required painting the entire room which wasn’t what I really wanted but they did a good job.

The process was very easy. We purchased a big deal to have 2 painters for a day. The owner came out one day to do the "estimate" and provided us with the paint shopping list. On the agreed-to day, two painters showed up at 7:30 am (right on time), and worked until about 2:30. The room looks great, they were clean and the work quality was first rate.

I explained to Maryan exactly what I wanted done...and I'm very particular with details. Maryan performed the job in two days and I couldn't be happier! He showed up when he said he would and worked the entire time. He was very efficient and thorough! I'll be using 1 Royal Painting in the future!

They arrived on time,worked hard for the promised 8 hrs. They called me as promised to report they have finished. The house was painted professionally. After work clean up was also neat, no spills, no stains. Very satisfied with the work.

Painters arrived a few minutes early to begin setting up prior to their agreed-upon start time. We had already moved all the furniture, patched the walls, and primed over some pre-existed painted-on "artwork" on one of the walls. The painters got two coats of paint on the walls, painted all the baseboard trim, and even painted the risers and bannister supports on the central staircase between the two rooms. I should add that we have about two dozen (functional) beams in the ceiling across these two rooms, so if you have ever done your own painting, you know how much "cutting in" that requires to paint. That said, they finished both rooms by 4:30pm, a half hour ahead of schedule. All the edging is nice and crisp. They did an outstanding job, and we would definitely not hesitate to use them again.

We never hired painters before. We hired ourselves. This year, however, I haven't been getting it done and my other half was too busy despite an impending deadline. So this deal appeared ideal: 2 professionals for a day. We hoped that if we prepared the rooms sufficiently, the Pros could get a lot more done than we could hope to accomplish. The painters arrived early. I explained my gameplan: priority one a small bedroom. The second priority is the family room. Finally, the hopeful priority three is another small bedroom. Unfortunately, despite great plans otherwise, all of the furniture had not been removed from priority 2 & 3 rooms. So, much of the day, I managed to barely keep a room ahead. These gentlemen were professionals. They kept focused. They made superb progress. As I noticed numerous others have discovered, much of the spackling I had done to speed their work along was redone to actually provide a professionally prepared wall. By the end of the day, two rooms were complete and near perfect. The third was prepared for quicker roller painting the next day. Trim was painted and the new color edging was completed. I had not yet nailed in new floor trim in this room so I had removed it to allow this edging step great latitude. I did negotiate a good price to have a professional return to complete the third room.

Everything went well and they were always on time and cleaned up the debris during the the process. They asked my opinion many times during the painting time if I was happy with the way things are looking. I would definetly use them again and I would recommend them to friends and family and fellow Angies List customers.

Royal Painting was on-time, very professional and did a great job!! Deal was for 2 men / 8 hrs and they finished the living room with time to spare and immediately began to paint the foyer. Can't ask for more than that!! I would gladly recommend Royal Painting to anyone and will call on them again for when future needs arise.

Maryan and his partner, Ivan, were prompt, courteous, and professional. They methodically went about their duties while being certain that they protected furniture, floors, and exposed areas. The painting, removal of paper, and cleanup were completed in the time frame and to our satisfaction. I would certainly recommend Royal Painting.
