1. A cherry tree was cut by their mistake. 2. the roots of boxwood trees were not even covered. One tree died, and I had to redo the others. Bees made a hive in one of the tree roots. 3. backyard was muddy even after their rework. They are supposed to regrow grass in the disturbed area, but when they left, those area were bare. 4. They planted 10 Giant Arborvitaes, with spacing about 2-3 feet apart. The minimum spacing should be 5 feet. As a result, the lower part of the trees are all dead, and I had to have them re-spaced. The trees were also planted too shallow. 5. Their scheduling was bad, they kept delaying the project.

Not well. Deal details stated that they would provide weeding service for an additional charge, however when the workers arrived, they said that is not a service that they provide. Also, they showed up to our home during the wrong appointment time.

They did a very fine job. It took a time to be able to arrange for them to come as they were so busy, but I was very happy with the job that they did.

They arrived on time and worked diligently. They were careful when spreading the mulch around all the plantings. When they were done they cleaned up. I am very happy with the work performed.

Scheduling proved to be a major challenge. This company seems super busy and has a lot of work so getting this done took a lot of back and forth and reschedulings due to things that unexpectedly altered their schedule. Once they were able to do the work, I was happy with it. They delivered as promised. Brett always answered my communications through the website as well which was good. I would not hesitate to use them again although if it is for a big deal then I would have the expectation that a lot of others are also taking advantage of it so it could take a while to get done.

on April 25, 2015, I emailed Brett for a estimate for a spring cleaning and mulch. He replied to my email asking for my address, which I did give to him on April 29. On May 5, I emailed him again asking when I could expect an estimate to which he replied by the end of the week. I still have not received an estimate from him.

He was great, I would highly recommend him. He owns a smaller company, but the price and quality of work were very good. I was very happy with our landscaping project.

Everything looks great. They take pride in their work and it is obvious.

I called them after purchasing the deal to get the work scheduled and I had a very difficult time reaching the company. When they finally returned my call, they informed me that they were very busy and wouldn't be able to come out until about 3 weeks later. It has now been past a month and I never even received a phone call with an update or explanation as to why they haven't come. They have been completely unresponsive to my calls and now I no longer want them to perform the service.

Very strange experience. Two guys showed up with a pickup truck and not much in the way of equipment. They didn't know what to do and had to ask several times what I wanted. They were able to get leaves and sticks up to the curb but weren't able to take them away since they didn't have a proper vehicle. It took more than a week for someone to finally pick it up.

Brett had 3 other young men with him and worked for 6 hours. They spread 15 yards of mulch, edged about 200 feet where turf meets beds, , plug aerated both back and front yards which is well over 10,00 square feet, tidied up 20x 5 feet of Forsythia, cut down last years perennials in a 800 sq. ft. bed, cleaned beds, cut ornamental grasses down to proper height , they took their time and they never rushed to be done, nor did they take long breaks. All work was done as if the guys were working on their own homes. They respected the plants coming up and worked so not to trample or disturb them AND, they did not volcano mulch around the stand of Rose of Sharon and Crepe Myrtel. It was all spread evenly. I had an afterthought and needed a large thick, tall bush drastically trimmed and they did it along with some other shrubs needing trimming. Brett and his crew have a great work ethic, are personable, polite and very easy to get work with. I am going to hire them again in June to put a 75ft walkway, river stone and plant some type of flowering cherry. Lastly, what immediately separated Emerald Green from a lot of other Angie LIsters, especially handymen, was that Brett CALLED ME right back,actually SHOWED up to to price the job and sent an estimate in email very quickly. If I say anymore good things about Emerald Green you folks will think I am part owner or a relative. I am NOT. I found them on Angies LIst.

Scheduling was a little challenging, as is the case with all Angie's deals, but not a big problem. Vendor responded quickly to messages. They came and had a pretty good quality brown mulch. Was better than I expected, actually. They were very helpful and really wet above and beyond - doing some minor weeding and prepping of the beds as well as spreading them. They were very careful with the existing plants and everything was very clean. In the past, we would have folks come in and just toss everything fast then leave. Not the case here. Emerald really did a good job.

It was tough locking down a date to get the service done, but they eventually came out on a Sunday and did an excellent job.

It went very well. The three gentlemen that worked were polite and did a great job.

We were very happy with the clean up they did. we have a lot more to do and Brett gave us 3 estimates for future work. we are ready to do 1st estimate now for weed killing/weeding and mulching now but we are awaiting a response from them now. the other 2 estimates are for tree trimming (we will do in fall) and cleanup and reseeding for previous garden area. that will come later

While it was a bit difficult to schedule a time because they became so busy once they were finally on the schedule and did the work they did a great job. I will definitely consider using Emerald in the future.

We were their last job on what must have been a long and exhausting day. They jumped right in, and didn't stop working until the job was finished. It looks great!

He showed up on time. I paid for 2 hours but it wasn't enough to complete the yard which I was expecting so he said he could finish it in an additional hour or he could stop. I asked him to finish. He completed the work in the time he quoted. The yard looked great. All the leaves were removed.

It was good. They did a good job. In the time, they got a lot of work done.

The work was well done, required no supervision on my part and no revision. No mess was left behind. There were no comments from the neighbors (noise, mess, damage to surrounding lawn and etc.). My only complaint is the time it took to schedule the job. Some of the delay was due to poor weather. Some of the delay was due to difficulty finding time on Brett's schedule. This was resolved without incident. Brett and his team do very good work at reasonable prices.

Left some stuff I thought would have been done but overall a good job. More expensive then I thought as it took them an additional 3 hours than the contract time. Also left a couple of other branches hanging from a tree in the front yard. Not sure why that wasn't pulled down too. Then left branch in back yard rather than throwing behind the fence like they did with everything else.

They did an absolutely wonderful job. The cleanup that they did was even better than I had ever expected. I highly recommend using their services.

I used this company to do my backyard cleanup and, since they did such a great job, I bought the service as a gift for my parents. They did a great job at my parents' home as well. Cleaned the gutters, removed all the leaves from the property and trimmed some bushes. Definitely recommend and we will be using them again in the Spring.
