My overall experience was very poor. The movers moved very slow. The estimate was completely off. They estimate the cost to be $850 and I ended up paying $1,300. The estimated time was 6.5 hours and it ended up taking 10+ hours which got me in trouble with my new co-op (ended up moving after hours). The movers were eating in the truck when they were supposed to be moving. They did damage to my old house which I did not see until after they left. They left stuff behind which I had to go back and move myself. In addition, one of the movers returned after being missing for a while smelling like marijuana. The other mover asked to use my bathroom and then when I went in after him he urinated all over the seat and the floor. I am appalled at the service I received. I will NEVER use Two Men and a Truck again and I will make sure that nobody I know uses them either. Moving is already stressful and I would never want anyone to experience what I did on that day.
Description of Work: Moved me from my rental apartment to new co-op (across the street).

They were super professional, knowledgeable in the moving business, and they knew how to properly move furniture. My wife had refinished furniture put into different bedrooms from which they came, and then she changed her mind so I had to hire 2 guys to move those from one room back to another. These stuff was just refinished so it was in brand new condition, and they did a perfect job damaging nothing. They were good and they did a great job. I will absolutely consider using them again.
Description of Work: Two Men and a Truck moved furniture from one room to another, and from that room back to the other room.

From the start Two Men and a Truck made the moving process easy for me. In my case, the company already had information on the items I was moving since they moved me into storage, therefore scheduling and getting the estimate literally took less than a 10 minute conversation. On moving day, they sent 3 guys. Each of them introduced themselves to me, and all three were very friendly and professional. Tyshone was the lead person, and he walked me through the paperwork and the fine print. He did a great job of keeping everything moving smoothly and was great at communcating important information to me. The guys ( Tyshone, Derroll and Henry) were all focused on the task at hand and looked to be very efficient, which is very important since you get charged on an hourly basis. These guys finished earlier than I expected and saved me money from that perspective. If I was only judging their performance, these guys would get an A. That said, price is pretty important in this evaluation, and Two Men and Truck, charges a $75 fee for moving a flat screen TV--I don't really get that. I packaged my 42" TV in one of those special boxes, so I don't see the purpose of the fee. They carried it like any other delicate box. In addition, they charge a travel fee of $150. It represents the time it takes them to go from their home base to the move location. I can't say I think those charges are reasonable, therefore, I have to give them an overall B rating.

It didn't go because the move never happened with Two Men and a Truck. Would never call them again. They were too expensive and they gave me one price during the in-home estimate, and another price later that was almost three times higher.
Description of Work: I had an in-home estimate to move a 600 sq. ft. apartment to a two bedroom condo. There were no steps involved and not much furniture. There was a spinet piano. The estimator said that it would cost about $600--about 3 hours for the move. There was no mention of a cost for the piano. When I received a written estimate from the company, the cost of the move suddenly jumped to more than $1,500.00!--including $125 to move the piano. When I called to question this, I was told that the estimator shouldn't have given me a price and that he had to follow regulations. I told him to cancel my move, and I found someone else who did a great job for $700.

We never used them.
Description of Work: 60 mins before they were to arrive, they called to say their truck broke down and they couldn't find another. They said they could do next day but we had already changed our schedule.
