I’ve never heard of someone who charged $2,502 for opening two locks. This man who changes his name every phone call is a thief. Poor workmanship (his new lock needs to be unlocked and re locked every time if it isn’t the perfect angle) would be a problem at normal rates, but since we weren’t home and a child and a neighbor had to arrange payment he took the opportunity to steal. Dishonest and poor workmanship is a terrible combination. Better burn your money than hiring this conman.

It went well. Since I sent him pics it only took him an hour. The only thing is he only brought 2 keys and we asked for 4. We got copies later that day at Lowes.

As expected. He was able to remove the key after trying a few different methods before going to the last resort of drilling the lock. Explained what he was doing while doing and also explained what he though the original cause of the problem was after resolving the issue. Great customer service and very professional.

I was impressed with the prompt call-back when I left a message inquiring about having the locks changed on my new home right after the closing. I thought the price was reasonable. I wanted the locks changed quickly so I called in the afternoon and they were able to come the next morning. That was what I was looking for.

The company was extremely prompt in arranging an appointment. The technician arrived on time, and he proved to be extremely professional, curteous and competent. He did a thorough job and I couldn't be happier with the quality of his work. Addionally the work is guarenrteed for one year and I also felt that the price was extremely reasonable.

I stopped by the shop as I was having problems with my front door lock and dead bolt. The front door lock was sticking and the dead bolt lock was loose. The shop owner gave me instructions on how to fix both problems and I was able to resolve them myself. He did not have to give me free advice and could easily have provided a service and made money. It's good to know there are still honest people in this world.

Ordered locks at Main St site and set up installation date. Locksmith arrived on time. He removed the old inferior locks which were not installed properly by previous owner. He then spent over an hour carefully installing the new locks and carefully checked operation of all the locks for ease of operation and alignment. Area was left spotless where he was working. I have used Main Lock before and would highly recommend them to anyone desiring quality workmanship. I should mention that I was surprised to see other reviews remark that the quoted price was high. When looking for a locksmith, one should not look for the lowest price but rather a locksmith known for their reputation for honesty, workmanship, full knowledge of the products and trust. Main lock is such an organization.

The locksmith arrived earlier than the appointment time and once we decided what need to be done, he started to do his thing and was done in less than an hour. Overall a good experience and will definite use them again.

I came here to have two spare keys cut for my Ninja 250 motorcycle. After providing them with the keycode for my bike I got home to find that the key they cut did not fit. I returned with the helmet lock, which I unscrewed from my motorcycle, to be sure the next key they cut for me would work. I had a half hour wait as I watched others come and go. I wasn't given any update about how things were going. I only heard what sounded like 3-4 people gossiping in the back. Because they werent able to get the meycode straight, they took apart my helmet lock tumbler to cut a custom key, but only after they blew through all but one of their blanks. So I was only able to get one working key, instead of the two I came for. When they returned my helmet lock, I noticed that the key only turned about 45 degrees in the lock, whereas before it turned the full 90 degrees. I immediately told the guy who brought me the new key, but he said that lock was like that. Even though I have ridden this motorcycle for 16,000 miles, I thought and quot;Ok, he must know what he is talking about, even though it doesn't feel right.and quot; Sure enough when I got home I couldn't get the helmet lock back on the bike, because the screw driver has to fit where the key opens the slot (which now opens only halfway). I guess I will have to make a third trip to their store to have them fix my helmet lock that they put back together incorrectly! The next time I need a key cut for my motorcycle, I will travel out of town to the Kawasaki dealership!

I called Main Lock Shop of Friday to see if they could rekey the locks on all the doors that we just had installed on our house. The woman on the phone was courteous, professional and very helpful. A locksmith was at my house first thing on Saturday morning to perform the job. The gentleman was earlier then expected which is always a blessing when working with vendors that make house calls. He was also courteous, professional and very knowledgable. He reviewed the job and confirmed that he could take care of everything we needed done. He got the work done in a very timely manner with little to no disruption to any other activities we had planned that morning. He went above and beyond the scope of the job even fixing some mistakes that another contract had made when installing the locks. The price quoted over the phone was the exact price that we were charged. There were no hidden fees. I would definitely use their services again and would recommend Main Lock Shop to anyone.

Parking was easy in front of the store. They provided very good guidance toward the purchase, and made all the keys in 15 minutes. all for a good price. You can't get that kind of service at one of the big box stores.

I had been concerned about my front door lock and I went to Angie's List to find a locksmith in the neighborhood. I set up the appointment and they called to confirm it. Also, the gentleman was on time, quickly reviewed all the locking mechanisms on my doors. This estimate was free of charge and I ordered my lock. They came back on the appointed day, changed my locks, quickly and cleaned up after they left. I would use them again.

Our front door lock started to give us trouble. In a failed attempt to fix it, my partner removed the cylinder, took it apart and couldn't reassemble it. Rather than incur the expense of a locksmith visiting our house, we brought the cylinder, in pieces, to Main Lock Shop. It was one of the "A" rated shops on Angie's list, and the most convenient for us. The store looked like one of those old-fashioned hardware stores from a different era. The man behind the counter was immediately responsive as my partner explained the problem. After inspecting the cylinder, he asked if we could wait a few minutes, retreated to what I took to be his workshop, and returned, shortly thereafter with the lock repaired, re-keyed and reassembled.The charge: $7 plus tax. That made our day! In the meantime, a male customer had come into the store and decided to wait for service at the main counter, near my partner. I was off browsing through the various nuts and bolts. When the locksmith returned and settled the account with my partner, the male customer stepped closer to the counter, but the locksmith, apparently recognizing that I had entered his shop before the male customer, turned his attention toward me and asked how he could be of help. Now, I am a woman and my experience is that when I am in a male-dominated business, I often get overlooked, and I have to step forward and be especially assertive to avoid being lost in the crowd. But this did not happen at Main Lock Shop and I was duly impressed. I told the locksmith that his business was "A" rated in Angie's List and all I got was a blank stare. "Don't you know about Angie's List -- it's a service on the web which shows consumers' ratings of various businesses, and your business came up A!" The man retorted, "Computers? I don't know a thing about 'em!" Main Lock Shop truly is from a different era: skilled, honest, and not hoping to make a killing on every transaction. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Called them at 9:00am on a Saturday. They were at my home by 10:30am or so. It took them a few hours to get the job done, but they were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job overall. Would do business again.

They were friendly and professional from the initial phone call to the service man's visit. They gave me a two-hour window for the day after I called and he arrived within that time frame. He was conscientious, friendly and professional. He keyed the three doors (5 locks in all) exactly as I requested and even fixed two doorknobs on other doors that were loose.
