Today it was equipment servicing and in the recent past it was a landscaping project and several equipment services where I have had issues that have lead me to an unhealthy review. I tried to be patient before I gave up working with them and even the customer service always left something to be desired, they would get the job done right so I overlooked it. The last two years I have steadily seen a decline in performance and customer service while rates continue to increase. All of the elements you do not want from the consumer side. Basically they seem to have grown and forgot how to treat their loyal customer base that has been faithfully returning for 10 years. They just don't seem to be fixing equipment the way they used to or completing projects the right way and with poor quality. The last (4) machines I brought in for service, I was over charged and they stopped working shortly after service. For instance, a snow blower that retails for $450.00 I was charged $300 for service and the machine was purchased from them and it only worked for a short time.,it was a Honda which is a good machine. On another occasion, they held my piece of equipment which was a lawn mower and then told me it was no good and charged me $75.00 for the survey. I then had to pay the $75 and bought another lawn mower from them. I realize small motors and equipment have become throw away machines but they seem to be running a bit of a scam whereas they are not being honest and in-taking equipment and charging fees that are high in hopes that you either by a machine from them or they get the bogus survey fee. My biggest area of disappointment is when I had them perform a $5,000 landscape project that I had to have re-done by someone else. I worked with both Chuck and Pat and they did not seem to mind that I was dissatisfied and acted as if they were doing me a favor. They used poor quality products, sub-par labor and rushed through the project in (2) days leaving a mess. They touted that they would design a nice scheme for us and I trusted them and left it in their hands. What we were left with was a mess and a host of issues. Again and they were very unresponsive after they were paid. I don't like having to write this review, we are reasonable customer since we are small business owners ourselves. But today their customer service is down right poor and border line rude. I have also noticed on Yelp that quite a few other customers feel the same way. I hope they read these and do something to change if possible...until then...I won't be using them...I would do my homework before using them for any landscaping or service....

Response from KEEHN LANDSCAPE CONTRACTORS
The Keehn Companies have worked with Mr. and Mrs. [member names removed] on several occasions. Most recently in November of 2013. On Nov. 22, 2013, Mr. [member name removed] brought in an Echo string trimmer for repair to Keehn Power Products. After our mechanics determined the machine to be damaged beyond repair according to the mechanics notes ,Mr. [member name removed] was only required to pay the bench charge of $30.00+tax for a total of $32.10.We first tried to contact Mr. [member name removed] to pick up the machine on Dec. 9th. Follow up phone calls were then made,2/25/13,3/6/14,3/14/14,3/20/14 and 3/27/14.On April 2, 2014 Mr. [member name removed] finally came in to pick up the machine and drop off another for repair. When told that if he hadn't come to pay the bench charge, he was told he was going to be added to the "dead beat" list and that he could not leave the equipment here past 30 days, as our policy clearly states, after 30 days we are no longer responsible for equipment, he became belligerent and started an argument with our employees, using profanity and threatening language. Back in April of 2012, the [member name removed]’s had Keehn Landscape Contractors prepare an estimate for various changes to the property landscape. During this time, we were able to accommodate the customer with "squeezing" them into the schedule as they were in a hurry to have the landscaping done. After rearranging the schedule twice, of a 20 vehicle fleet crew, work didn't start until June of 2012 because the customers home was under construction and were not quite ready for the landscape portion. As a contractor himself, Mr. [member name removed] should have appreciated what Keehn Landscape had to do to make such an accommodation. After landscape work was completed, the KLC invoice dated, 6/28/12, was not paid until 8/30/12. The relationship with the Keehn Companies and this customer, was severed because the payment plan(s)/schedule(s) agreed to by Mr. [member name removed], were not adhered to. Angie's List has been notified of the falsified and slanderous statements about our companies and this will be resolved accordingly.
