They come out twice a year and they do a great job. I would recommend them.

We just had this installed yesterday, but so far very well. The owner initially came by and explained everything to my husband and myself. When we chose Duct Mate to do the job, the installation team was very pleasant and professional. They arrived at 8 am and and by 5 - you could feel the cool air.

They were very good. I remember thinking it was extremely reasonable for what they did but I don't remember the price. The tech who came was very knowledgeable. They were lovely.

Duct Mate installed a new boiler for us in December. The installation was pre-planned, not an emergency, so we were able to get a few estimates for the work. We used Angie's List and requested estimates from local firms with good ratings. We selected Duct Mate because they provided the best explanation for the work, were responsive to additional questions and were friendly and helpful when contacted. They were not the lowest bidder on the job, but when selecting a company for a service that is going to cost several thousand dollars there are other factors to consider,not just price. This is a family owned and operated company. Joe and his sons do the installations and wife Pat oversees the office. It was comforting to have full confidence in their services and we would not hesitate to use them again.

Overall very good service call. Spent time assessing product and servicing. Prompt and friendly.

He came promptly to give me an estimate, we accepted the estimate, and he came the next week to do the work. On time, good work, and cleaned up after!

Duct Mate was happy to come give us an estimate. They arrived on time and were friendly and knowledgeable. Overall we got three estimates, and their estimate was the lowest of the three. They followed up with a phone call several days after to see if we had questions. I called them several days after that with some questions, which they patiently answered for me. We gave them a deposit and they began the process of getting the permits. The process moved quickly and efficiently. They called to schedule a date and they showed up on time. They were able to finish the installation by afternoon. The workers were clean and left our house as they found it. They were very friendly and professional. The system worked fine and we have been happily using our AC for the past month. The installation passed inspection with no problems. Everything went smoothly and we had no complaints at all. Everybody at the company is friendly and pleasant to work with. We had other companies ignore our calls, but we were never ignored by Duct Mate. The installation was painless and the AC works great. We would definitely call them again and would recommend them.

What a great experience. My furnace went down on the Tuesday before thanksgiving. Joe was there the next day on time with competitive pricing and a great explanation of how everything would happen should I choose his company. They arrived the following Monday, on time, and got to work. By the end of business that day I had heat and hot water. Everyone involved was a pleasure to deal with. Brian got me my quote in 20 minutes, Pat helped me understand and process my financing options and Joe and his entire crew were polite, clean and just real friendly. They even were great with my 2 dogs. Overall an experience that could have been very tense and stressful was anything but. I cannot reccomend this company more highly.

I had a good experience with DuctMate earlier in the year, when the tenant called for an issue with Air Conditioning. DuctMate handled it very professionally, without charging me money in advance (being a new customer), and they fixed the issue and sent me (landlord) the invoice for a future payment. They did not ask tenant for any money and AC issue was fixed professionally. So, when needed work done in my new house, I reached out to DuctMate. They were the first one to give me an estimate. Joe the owner himself came for all the estimate (and then he is 'on the job' too). I was highly impressed with his knowledge about the duct sizing, unit sizing etc. I got 6-7 other estimates before finally picking duct mate. The installation started on the day it was promised to be started. Every day - Joe - the owner - himself was on the job, and his son was one of the three 'guys' working on the job. So, it's a truly owner operated business. I really liked the fact that the guy who took initial requirement and gave the estimate was himself working on the job, getting into the attic etc. I have had bad experiences with other contractors when the person who gave estimates never came on the job. I can actually write a multiple page reviews - on them. They are very professional - do the job neat - it's a family owned / family run business - but they have employee's / team to get things done. They KNOW the stuff - I KNOW this because I took 6-7 estimates and talked to different guys - and when I got different recommendations on DUCT sizing / unit sizing - I kept going to google and my searches showed that what Brian and Joe were telling me was correct. We have a big basement and the old HVAC system was installed right in the middle with big duct work hanging around everywhere making the basement useless. DuctMate moved the system to crawlspace (replaced one low efficiency unit with two separate high efficiency units), removed all old duct work - and redid new duct work using low profile custom made ducts (they manufacture their own duct work, so it was customized to fit our house. Their were many custom pieces made to go 'around' existing electrical wiring, existing gas pipes etc. While here - he even took care of some plumbing things. When I called the office for payments / permits / negotiations on pricing, I was dealing with Pat and Brian. I used to think Pat is an office manager, but she is the owner too and she never shows that off on the phone calls. They all are all very respectful, and very professional. During the installation days, once Joe had to go to another appointments for 2-3 days, so a day before he came back with his son in the evening, worked late and ensured that we had heating in the house while he would not be on the job for 2 days. This review is sounding fishy now, as if I am an insider, but I really do love this company and would highly recommend anyone to hire them for HVAC needs / duct work needs.

Absolute nightmare. 1. Broke a light fixture in my kitchen when the technician dropped a piece of wood through the open vent. 2. Didn't properly place the condenser unit on the overflow pan which caused condensation to miss the pan, flow down the walls and cause a leak in my garage. 3. Had to be told repeatedly to combine the thermostats into 1 instead of having 2 separate thermostats. 4. Needed numerous adjustments to get the a/c temperatures in the house set properly and they still are not. Some rooms are colder than others no matter what the setting is. After breaking the light fixture, we were told that they would make it right. We searched for the same replacement fixture to no avail since it is no longer made. We were then told to look for something comparable and even get a replacement for a complimentary fixture in the kitchen since the replacement for the broken one wouldn't match the existing complimentary fixture. We looked for months and so did they. Neither could find the same fixture and we were NEVER contacted by Duct Mate regarding their attempts to locate the fixture. We purchased new fixtures and contacted Duct Mate with the cost and to arrange to have them install it. Never did they say a word about the cost and they did come and install it. We gave them the bill for the cost and again, not a word was said to us about it. A month or so later, we get a letter and a check for not even 50% of the cost of the fixture. The letter said that based on their "research", the original fixture was worth about $98 so out of the goodness of their hearts, they doubled it and added in tax. This is their way of "making it right". I contacted them directly and spoke with Joe Tosca about this. After hemming and hawing over it and reminding me how he returned my call and installed the fixture, he agreed to send the balance ($280). I just received a check for $200 which is once again less than agreed. At this point, I am DONE with Duct Mate and not only will NEVER use them again, I will further advise anyone considering them to beware. I have found them to be less than reputable and their word is meaningless. Their sole agenda is to get paid and get out. They have made this entire project a nightmare for my family and I am sorry I ever hired them.

We were absolutely pleased. We got bids from 5 companies and they came out as the least expensive from the quote through the finish installation. Joe personally came out for the estimate, the estimate was extremely thorough. Joe also over saw the project.

George was very friendly and knowledgeable. He spent time explaining to us what was wrong with the existing duct work and corrected.

Hired this company to troubleshoot and repair my heating system. Technician (Joe) was knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. Joe even took the time to explain what he was doing so that I knew what was going on.

I called the company after many great reviews on Angie's list and spoke with Pat. She took my information and set up a time/date for Joe Tasca to come out and assess our issue. He came out promptly and ran several tests to assess the source of the problem. He took his time & explained everything he was doing in great detail with such professionalism. After he did so, we set up a day/time to come install units and again, they were on time & very professional and cleanned up after installation. A couple of days later we had an independent issue that may have been linked to installation and Joe took care of that the same day. I can't express enough how easy it was using Duct Mate and dealing with all individuals in that company. This unit is a rental property. I did need work done on my home and again called them and things are working fine at home too. I don't usually take time to write reviews, good or bad, but had to express my positive experience with anyone needing an honest and good company for any of their AC/heating needs.

Most of the dealings with this company were by my girlfriend as she works from home and had the ability to be there for this entire process. My dealings with them were primarily by e-mail and phone but she filled me in on EVERYTHING.... Joe, the owner came to do the original estimate and inspection. He concurred with another company that stated that our entire system needed to be replaced as the air handler was moldy and unhealthy. He spent enough time to effectively evaluate our needs and come up with solutions that met them. He did not oversell at all. Our current unit was 3.5 tons but he felt that was overkill and gave us extensive reasons why. SInce we had installed extensive insulation in the spring, we concurred and went with a 3 ton unit. We also asked if we could go to two zones for our small home. He said he could do it and would quote it, but saw only minimal benefit from it. The quote from Brian came soon after. They quoted on the base system we requested and also a number of upgrades (including the two zone system). In talking to them either Brian or their office staff, everyone was more than willing to give the time to help educate me. They were more than willing to tell me the exact equipment they planned to install which allowed me to do research independently. Then I would return with more questions. At no time did I feel there was any irritation from them when I had more questions or the strong sell to get the job. As evidence by getting the job, this worked well for me. After many questions, and changes to the quote caused by me looking at 4 companies with four different brands, I made a decision to go forward. I ended up not going with the 2 zones and used the money for a better handler and compressor. I could have stepped up to even better equipment but the energy savings wouldn't make it worthwhile and would have necessitated more electrical work. The biggest problem with this whole process was great for them but not for me. I started the process in May when their schedule was light, but once I had done all the research and evaluated them and the other companies, it was July. The heat wave had hit and they were working 6 day weeks and had more work than they could do (as noted before that didn't stop them from being very reactive to my questions). So I had to wait weeks to get on the schedule. The entire process went VERY smoothly, from the permits to the install and the follow-up. The installers were supervised by the owner Joe and the work was done in a very clean and professional manner. One telling sign was that the people working in our house seemed to be happy to be there. They were enjoying what they were doing and it showed. Now that could have been because it was in the 70's and not the blasting 90's we had a few weeks earlier but I like to think it was more than that. The units have been operating for a few weeks now. I had to make a minor adjustment to redirect more air to one area of the house but aside from that no problems at all. Duct Mate will be back for TWO years (most companies only give you one) to service the units as part of the install so we look forward to seeing them again. Great process start to finish!!

Duct Mate was recommended by a family friend. I submitted the form on their website (twice) asking to be contacted so we could schedule an in-home consultation to get a quote for the installation of central air in our home. My husband also called and left them a message. No one from Duct Mate ever called or reached out to us after 3 attempts.

Today is Monday: Our central A/C failed on Friday during the hottest weekend of the heat (90+F all weekend). We had a different company out on Friday. The other company's technician could not repair it after a couple hours and deemed the compressor/condensor broken. Nobody was available until Monday. Duct-Mate came out promptly as promised. They repaired the unit in under 30 minutes. Duct-Mate proved to be extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. Highly recommend and will use them for all future HVAC work going forward. Thank you again!!

Duct Mate was one of three companies interviewed for the job. They were not the least costly, but we felt we were in good hands and liked that Joe delievered a simple and straightforward presentation. They showed up on time when they said they would and the job took as long as was advised. It felt simple and easy and we are enjoying the cool air. The company managed my expectations and we continue to feel that we made the right choice. We will have another unit to repair in the Fall and plan on using Duct Mate again.

Provider came out around 5/27/13, looked at the AC unit and what repairs would need to be made. Spent a total of 30mins and said someone from his company would be calling me within 2-3 days to provide the estimate for the work needed. It is now 6/18/13 have not heard a word from them, and have since been working with another higher rated provider, here on Angies list. Im surprised this company is still in business, when they cant even get back to prospective clients with estimates... If customer service is any reflection of the rest of their services, STAY AWAY from this company.

First let me say, they were always very nice and pleasant to deal with on the phone and in person, but in the end just couldn't get the job done. Our Central AC unit was blowing room temperature air in the begining of July and a heat wave was about to hit. They squeezed me in before it hit and the first technician claimed to have found the problem (a dead mouse and nest in the outdoor unit) and cleaned it up. Well, that didn't work as the heat wave hit and the temp inside our house approached 91 degrees. Another call and they sent out another technician a few days later. He thought he knew what the problem was (low on coolant) and said we should be good to go. Said let the system run and it should slowly start to bring the temp down in the house. 12 hours later the house went down 1 degree and I think that was from the sun setting. So I call a 3rd time and they send the same technician again and this time he thinks it's a part on the inside unit that regulates the temp. He says the part is around $250. I found it online for $75. When I bring this up he says he doesn't make the prices and to talk to his boss which i do and he says he can't let me get the part on my own. He needs to make a profit (to which I understand to a certain degree) and it's expensive for his trucks to be on the road and has to pay for them also. So after this 3rd visit I asked the technician to hang around or at least swing by my place again at the end of his shift to make sure the temp is going down and the unit is blowing cool air. No, it didn't take again. All said and done each of the 3 visits resulted in a bill averaging around $225 totaling around $700. They were always pleasant, never nasty or defensive on the phone or in person, but at the end of the day I am out $700 and the unit is still broke. At this point I feel like we were shooting in the dark slowly replacing each part at a time with a costly bill. I finally took my business elsewhere.

I contacted Duct Mate and received a prompt response from Duct Mate employee Brian within a few hours. Due to the impending cold weather I needed to install extra vents in areas of my house where I was having a draft. Owner/Operator Joe T. responded to my residence the next day for an estimate. I came away very impressed with Joe's knowledge and analyzation of my HVAC issues. He produced an extremely reasonable estimate the same day. The day of the installation, Joe T. and his crew arrived promptly on the scheduled date and time. They did a thorough inspection of what needed to be done and provided a step by step explanation of what work they were going to perform. Although the areas of where the new vents were being installed were in an extremely difficult place to reach, they got the job done without any issues. I was pleased by their work and will be using Duct Mate for all my future HVAC needs.

I couldn't be happier with the entire process of working with Duct Mate. From the first conversation I had with the owner, Joe, to the work performed by Joe and his staff, they were professional, courteous and honest. I had installed a full house system only 4 months before, which was done incorrectly. Duct Mate came in, provided an honest assessment, a fair price, which included re-using as many materials as they could. They kept me upddated when the installation would begin, and how long it would take. As the work being completed was in January, they also made sure the heat worked within two days so we could sleep comfortably, especially important as we have a two-year old daughter. They also showed up when they said they were, and stayed longer than they were supposed to at night to make sure everything worked. The owner of the company even called us after the installation to make sure the system was operating as we would hope, and is planning to come back in a week to balance the new system for ultimate comfort. My wife and I were very impressed with Duct Mate, and would not hesitate to work with them again, and recommend them to anybody looking for a simple service call or a major installation. They are great at what they do, and just as important, they are great individuals to work with.
